Mari Bras-Benitez ‘95 – Volleyball - Bryant

Originally from San Piedras, Puerto Rico, Maria started her career as a Bulldog as the Northeast-10 conference Freshman-of-the-Year award in 1991.

She was also named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Northeast Region team an unprecedented 4 years, All-Northeast-10 honors her last three years, and the Northeast-10 Player of the Year in both 1993 and 1994.

Bras-Benitez finished her career with a record-holding 2,045 kills - currently 10th all-time among Division II players. She graduated from Bryant University in 1995 and was named Bryant’s female athlete of the year in both 1994 and 1995.

She is currently the owner and chief operating officer of New Alliance Insurance Agency, Inc.
