Northeast-10 Player of the Week

John Tello, Saint Anselm (So., F, Ridgefield Park, N.J.) - Averaged 20 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals in a 2-0 weekend. Earned MVP honors at the Country Inn Suites Tip-Off Tournament with a pair of 20-point efforts. Shot 72.7 percent from the field, including 8-for-10 in a win over Dowling and was 8-for-12 in the win over Nyack.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Isiah Wallase, American International (Fr., G, Springfield, Mass.) - Averaged 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 2-0 week. Scored 12 points with eight rebounds, two assists and two steals in his collegiate debut against University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and recorded game-highs of 21 points and nine rebounds with four assists and four steals against Holy Family. Shot 46.4 percent (13-28) from the field, including an 8-for-15 performance against the Tigers.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Lucius Millinder, American International (Sr., F, Belleville, N.J.) - Averaged 12 points and 9.5 rebounds while shooting 62.5 percent (10-16) from the field in a 2-0 week. Also shot 80 percent from the free throw line. Scored 12 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds, seven of which were on the offensive glass, against University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and netted 12 points with seven boards against Holy Family.

Mike Baldarelli, Assumption (So., G, Sutton, Mass.) - In two games this past weekend at the Bridgeport Mixer, averaged 18.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. In a season opening win against NYIT scored 17 points and had eight rebounds as well as dishing out six assists. In the second day of action against host University of Bridgeport, scored 20 points brought down six rebounds handed out four assists.

Lew Finnegan, Bentley (Sr., G, Lexington, Mass.) - Led the team to a 94-61 win over Holy Family with 23 points on 10-11 shooting. Completed his first career double-double with a career-best 11 rebounds, and also had a steal and an assist.

Jason Westrol, Bentley (Jr., G, Brielle, N.J.) - In a 94-61 win over Holy Family, scored 16 points (8-15 fg), grabbed nine rebounds and delivered three assists.

Rimas Varanauskas, Franklin Pierce (Sr., F, Kaunas, Lithuania) - Earned All-Tournament team honors at the Country Inn Suites Tip-off Tournament after averaging a double-double with 17.5 points and 14 rebounds per game to go with 3.5 assists and 1.5 blocked shots per game in a 2-0 weekend. Shot 63.2-percent (12-for-19) from the field, including 4-for-5 (80%) from three-point range for the weekend. Posted career bests with 23 points and 17 rebounds to go with six assists and two blocks in season-opening win over Nyack. Collected 12 points, 11 rebounds and a blocked shot in the win over Dowling.

Laurence Ekperigin, Le Moyne (Jr., F, Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) - Tallied 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting, grabbed seven rebounds, blocked two shots and recorded three steals to open the season in an 85-51 loss at Syracuse University in the first round of the O'Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic.

Victor Colon, UMass Lowell (Jr., F, Chicago, Ill.) - Registered averages of 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting .565 (13-23) from the field in wins over Mercy (71-48) and St. Thomas Aquinas (67-56). Highlighted the weekend with 22 points and 10 rebounds on 10-of-15 field goal shooting against St. Thomas Aquinas, including seven points in a game-ending 14-2 run.

Sean Romsek, UMass Lowell (Fr., G, Fowlerville, Mich.) - Posted averages of 14 points, five rebounds and three assists while shooting .563 from the field (9-16) and .500 from 3-point range (6-12) in victories over Mercy (71-48) and St. Thomas Aquinas (67-56). Opened his college career with a team-high 18 points and three assists in 19 minutes on 6-11 field goal shooting (4-8 from long range) in the win over Mercy. Followed with 10 points, six rebounds and three assists in the win over St. Thomas Aquinas, hotting 3-5 from the floor (2-4 from 3-point range).

Darren Duncan, Merrimack (Jr., G, Briarwood, N.Y.) - Averaged a team-best 19 points and 7.5 assists in a 2-0 week at the Lowell Tip-Off Classic. Scored 16 points and dished out 10 assists in the win over St. Thomas Aquinas and then finished with 22 points and five assists and shot 7-of-10 from the field.

Wayne Mack, Merrimack (Fr., G, Paterson, N.J.) - Averaged 18 points and 5.5 rebounds in two wins this past weekend. Tallied a game-high 20 points against St. Thomas Aquinas in his first collegiate game.

Kelvin Jackson, New Haven (Jr., F, Upper Marlboro, Md.) - Scored 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting in a 0-1 week. Was a perfect 6-for-6 from the field in the second half and had a team-high eight rebounds to go along with two blocks and one assist.

Thomas Baudinet, Saint Anselm (So., G, Watertown, Conn.) - Averaged 19.5 points, seven rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals and earned All-Tournament honors at the Country Inn Suites Tip-Off Tournament. Began the tourney with a career-high 27-point game as he knocked down five three-pointers in the win versus Dowling. In game two, had 12 points and six rebounds, along with four assists in the victory over Nyack.

Jon Zlystra, Saint Michael's (Sr., F, Uxbridge, Mass.) - In a 2-0 week, averaged 11.5 points, three rebounds, and two blocks. The senior was named MVP of the Double Tree Doc Jacobs classic, scoring 13 points and adding four blocks in a win over Bloomsburg.

Jermaine Clark, Saint Rose (Jr., G, Perth Amboy, N.J.) – Led the team with 17 points in a 69-64 loss versus Philadelphia University. Hit 8-of-14 shots from the floor and also pulled down six boards in 37 minutes of action.

Tory Stapleton, Southern New Hampshire (So., F, Rahway, N.J.) - Shot 9-of-17 from the floor and finished with 18 points and seven rebounds (five offensive) in a 76-55 win over Houghton.

Mike Kernan, Stonehill (So., F, Medford, N.J.) - Led a balanced attack in the 78-58 win over Queens College. Finished with 14 points on 5-for-11 shooting to go along with two rebounds, two steals and a block.

Weekly Notes:

BENTLEY: Senior Lew Finnegan, with his 10-of-11 from the field against Holy Family, became just the eighth player in school history to shoot at least 90 percent for a game, with a minimum of 10 field goals made.

SAINT MICHAEL’S: Head Coach Tom O'Shea won his 159th game on Sunday, tying George ‘Doc’ Jacobs for the program's all-time record in career wins.

Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Lexi Allen , Southern Connecticut (Jr., G, Southbury, Conn.) - Led the team to a 105-61 victory over Post University in the season opener, scoring 33 points on 12-of-18 shooting and dished out seven assists as well. Was 6-of-9 from three and pulled down six rebounds.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Meghan Thomann , Bentley (Fr., G, Andover, Mass.) - During a 2-0 weekend at the Valley Cup, averaged 17.5 points while shooting 65 percent overall (11-17), 57 percent from three (5-7) and 83 percent from the line (5-6). Had career-best 19 points, including 16 in the first half, against Mercy and followed with 16 points vs. Felician. Also averaged two rebounds and one steal.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Kelly Meredith, Assumption (Fr., F, Franklin, Mass.) - At the Stonehill College Mixer averaged 12 points and four rebounds. In the second game of the weekend against Shepherd, scored 16 points collected four rebounds, dished out two assists and had two steals, while shooting 50 percent from the floor and was four of five from the charity stripe.

Kayla Parker, Assumption (Jr., F, Sanford, Maine) - At the Stonehill College Mixer averaged 15 points and 5.5 rebounds in the two games. In the opening game win against Bloomfield scored 10 points and collected five rebounds. In the win over Shepherd scored 20 points shooting 9-for-12 from the floor and bringing down six rebounds.

Kim Brennan, Bentley (So., G, Locust Valley, N.Y.) - In a pair of wins at the UMass-Lowell Valley Cup, averaged 19.5 points, six assists and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 58 percent from the field (11-19), 75 percent from three (6-8) and 73 percent from the line (11-13). Had 22 points, five assists and five rebounds in a 76-54 win over Mercy, and 17 points and a career-best seven assists in a 77-32 victory against Felician.

Kristy McLean, Bentley (Sr., G, Staten Island, N.Y.) - In a 2-0 week, averaged 14.5 points, eight rebounds, three steals and 2.5 assists. Shot 42 percent overall and made four three-pointers. Had 11 points and 10 rebounds vs. Mercy (W 76-54) and a season-best 18 points, along with four steals, against Felician.

Jennifer Leedham, Franklin Pierce (Sr., G, Ellesmere Port, England) - Led the team to a 73-43 season-opening victory over Queens (N.Y.) with 18 points on 6-for-11 (54.5%) shooting from the field, including 3-5 (60%) from three-point range, while converting 3-4 (75%) free-throw attempts. Also dished six assists and collected four steals.

Courtney Coryea , Le Moyne (Jr., F, Mooers Forks, N.Y.) - Averaged 14.5 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 2-0 weekend. Recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the season-opening win over Pitt.-Johnstown in the Golden Bear Classic. Scored a game-high 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting, pulled down four rebounds, had three steals and two blocks in an 85-73 win over Slippery Rock. Also earned All-Tournament honors.

Revital Carmon, UMass Lowell (Sr., C, Bat-Yam, Israel) - Posted averages of 13 points and 12 rebounds while shooting .500 (11-22) from the field in victories over Felician (66-51) and Mercy (90-51). Registered 13 points, 16 rebounds and three blocked shots while shooting 5-of-10 from the field against Felician. Added 13 points and eight rebounds on 6-of-12 shooting against Mercy.

Jen Valente, UMass Lowell (Jr., F, Prospect, Conn.) - Posted averages of 15 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting .647 from the field (11-17) in victories over Felcian College (66-51) and Mercy College (90-51). Led the River Hawks with 15 points, five rebounds and three assists while shooting 5-of-9 from the floor in the win over Felician. Followed with 15 points and four rebounds while shooting 6-of-8 from the field in the win over Mercy.

Natasha Pierre-Louis, New Haven (So., G, Corona, N.Y.) - Led the team with 16 points in a 69-68 victory over #10 Holy Family University. Connected on 6-of-11 from the floor, including three from outside the arc. Added nine rebounds, a block and one steal as well.

Briiana Rende, New Haven (Sr., G, Augusta, Maine) - Scored the game-winning basket against the #10 Holy Family University with 18-seconds remaining. Led the Chargers with 16 points off 6-of-8 from the floor. Connected on 4-of-5 three-pointers and grabbed five rebounds. Also handed out four assists in 29 minutes.

Megan Howard , Saint Anselm (Fr., F, St. Paul, Minn.) - Nearly averaged a double-double in her first two collegiate games with 13 points and nine rebounds, while shooting 50 percent from the field and 72.1 percent from the free throw line. Posted a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double in a close loss to Nyack and followed that with a 12-point, seven-rebound game versus Dominican.

Alexis Keller, Saint Michael's (Jr., G, Harrington Park, N.J.) - In the season-opening win, scored a team-high 16 points to go along with three rebounds and two assists.

Lauren Revesz, Saint Rose (Sr., C, Pittsburgh, Pa. ) - Averaged 20.5 points and 3.5 rebounds during a 2-0 week. Also shot .593 (16-for-27) from the floor and connected on .857 (6-for-7) from the free throw line. Tossed in 14 points in the 79-48 win over the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia at the James A. Richardson Tip-Off Tournament. Then tied a career-high with 27 points en route to an 80-63 triumph in the championship game against host Lincoln University.

Kristen McWhirter, Stonehill (So., G, Melvin Village, N.H.) - Was named Skyhawks Classic MVP after averaging 16 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting 56 percent from the floor. Scored a career-high 19 points to go along with eight rebounds and six assists in the 67-53 win over Shepherd. Then scored 13 points in the win over Bloomfield. Made 4-of-9 three-pointers and 9-of-16 shots overall (56 percent).

Kelsey Simonds, Stonehill (Jr., F, Middleboro, Mass.) - Was named to the All-Tournament team of the Skyhawks Classic after finishing the weekend averaging 12 points, seven rebounds and 3.5 blocks in a 2-0 week. In a win over Bloomfield posted 15 points, 12 rebounds and a career-high tying six blocks.

Weekly Notes:

SAINT ROSE: The Golden Knights won their season opener for the 11th time in 13 years with a convincing 79-48 victory against University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in the first round of the James A. Richardson Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday. Furthermore, Saint Rose improves to 6-2 in season openers under eighth-year head coach Karen Haag.

SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE:
The 35 points SNHU allowed against Saint Thomas Aquinas established a school record for fewest points allowed in a game. The previous low was 36 points, established in a 67-36 win over Castleton State in 1983 and matched in a 55-36 win over Merrimack in 1984.

STONEHILL:
Stonehill improved to 22-1 in the last five Novembers and now have won 20 straight games in the 11th month of the year. Stonehill has won 12 straight games at Merkert Gymnasium.

Missy Seeley, UMass Lowell (Sr., M, East Hampstead, N.H.) - Had a goal and an assist in the NCAA Championship match against Bloomsburg and was named to the 2008 NCAA All-Tournament team.

Courtney Bartlett, Bentley (Jr., F, Brunswick, Maine) - Scored both Bentley goals during a 3-2 loss to UMass-Lowell in the NCAA Division II national semifinals and was named to the NCAA All-Tournament team.

Michelle Harrington, UMass Lowell (Sr., M, Rockport, Mass.) – Recorded an assist in the 3-2 win over Bentley and was named to the 2008 NCAA All-Tournament Team.

Sammy Macy, UMass Lowell (So., F, Tewksbury, Mass.) - Scored two goals in the 3-2 win over Bentley in the NCAA Semifinals.

Ashley Smith, UMass Lowell (Jr., D, Killingworth, Conn.) - Named to the 2008 NCAA All-Tournament team.

BENTLEY: Juniors Courtney Bartlett and Alyssa Sliney (Brewster, Mass.) were Bentley's representatives on the All-Tournament Team at the NCAA Division II Championships.

Northeast-10 Offensive Player of the Week

Chris Roberts, Southern Connecticut (Sr., QB, New Britain, Conn.) - Set new career-highs with 23 completions and 350 passing yards in the NCAA playoff game against West Chester. Also threw three touchdowns.

Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Week

Jean Simeon, American International (Sr., DL, Atlantic City, N.J.) – Led the team with six tackles, three and a half tackles for loss and two and a half sacks in their first-ever NCAA playoff game against Seton Hill.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Andre Privott, Southern Connecticut (Fr., WR, Middletown, Conn.) - Caught five passes for 102 yards and one touchdown in the game against West Chester. Set new career-highs in yards and receptions.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Allen Bush, American International (Jr., DB, Newark, N.J.) - Had six tackles with two interceptions and one forced fumble in the first-ever NCAA playoff game against Seton Hill.

Travis Poole, American International (Sr., WR, Brooklyn, N.Y.) - Caught six passes for a game-high 90 yards with one score against Seton Hill in the first-ever NCAA playoff game for the Yellow Jackets.

Chris Bergeski, Southern Connecticut (Sr., WR, Mountainside, N.J.) - Concluded his collegiate career with a seven-catch, 103 yard performance that included a touchdown in the NCAA Playoff game versus West Chester.

Kyle Sandberg, Southern Connecticut (So., DB, Toms River, N.J.) - Led the Owls defense with 15 tackles (11 solo) against West Chester. Also forced a fumble and broke up a pass.

AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL
: AIC made its first-ever appearance in the NCAA tournament appearance in 2008 and its nine wins this season are tied for the second-most wins in a single-season. The Yellow Jackets also won nine games in 2000. Senior wide receiver Travis Poole now holds the school record for receiving yardage in a single season with 1,209 and his 15 receiving touchdowns place him in a three-way tie for the most receiving touchdowns in a season.

Phil LaBreck, Franklin Pierce (Jr., F, Thornton, N.H.) - Scored two goals, including the game-winner, and added an assist in the win over Assumption. Did not factor in the scoring in the loss at Nichols.

Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Shane Brooks, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., G, Kennebunk, Maine) - Stopped all 32 shots faced en route to his first career shutout in a 2-0 win over Western New England.

Sean Woodring, Franklin Pierce (So., F, Rogue River, Ore.) - Collected two goals and an assist in the win over Assumption. Did not factor in the scoring in the loss at Nichols.

Ryan DiBartolomeo, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., F, Leominster, Mass.) - Scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Western New England.

Mike Manna, Stonehill (So., G, Framingham, Mass.) - Had 26 saves in a loss to Plymouth St., including 16 saves in the first period.

Paul Reissfelder, Stonehill (Sr., F, Plymouth, Mass.) - Scored a power play goal and dished out an assist in the season opening loss to Plymouth St.

Jhony Valencia, UMass Lowell (Jr., M, Lowell, Mass.) - Compiled three goals and one assist in two NCAA victories over Molloy (3-2) and Southern New Hampshire (2-1). Scored two goals, including the game-winner in the 82nd minute, and set up another in the win over Molloy. Also scored what proved to be the game-winner in the triumph over Southern New Hampshire.

Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Vinny Papageorgiou, Franklin Pierce (Fr., GK, Wilmington, Mass.) - Averaged five saves per match, while stopping ten of the 13 shots on goal he faced for .769 save percentage in two NCAA Tournament matches this past weekend. Made seven saves in the 1-0 double-overtime win over Le Moyne in the opening round. Made three stops in the loss to #12 Dowling.

Northeast-10 Co-Freshmen of the Week

Matheus Candido, UMass Lowell (Fr., M, Lowell, Mass.) - Opened the scoring in the 23rd minute in the 2-1 triumph at Southern New Hampshire in the NCAA Tournament East Region Semifinal.

Diego Tabares, UMass Lowell (Fr., F, Seekonk, Mass.) - Scored the second goal in the 3-2 victory over Molloy College in the NCAA Tournament East Region first round.

Weekly Honor Roll:


Johan Torstensson, Franklin Pierce (So., M, Falkoping, Sweden) - Scored the match-winning goal in the 105th minute to lift the Ravens to a 1-0 double-overtime win against Le Moyne in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

Matias Pietropinto, UMass Lowell (Sr., M, Leominster, Mass.) - Assisted on three goals in the victories over Molloy (3-2) and Southern New Hampshire (2-1) in the NCAA Tournament East Regional. Dished out two assists in the win over Molloy, including the game-winner in the 82nd minute; and set up what proved to be the game-winner in the region semifinal win over the Penmen.

Paulson Edum, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., F, Calabar, Nigeria) - Scored a goal in the NCAA Tournament setback against UMass Lowell.

Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Amanda Schweers, Saint Rose (So., M, Greeley, Colo.) - Tallied three points on one goal and one assist during a 2-0 week. All three points came in a 4-0 victory at Franklin Pierce in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Set up the game's second goal and then drove home her first marker of the season in the 75th minute.

Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Shannon Murphy, Saint Rose (Jr., GK, Charlton, Mass.) - Did not surrender a goal in 180 minutes of action in a 2-0 week. Finished with five total saves and a 1.000 save percentage with a pair of shutouts. Turned aside two shots in a 2-0 victory against Georgian Court in the first round of the NCAA Tournament and then stopped three shots to pick up her eighth clean sheet of the season in a 4-0 triumph at Franklin Pierce.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Christina Cuffari, Saint Rose (Fr., M, Brick, N.J.) - Scored what held up as the game-winner in a 4-0 victory at Franklin Pierce in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Weekly Notes:

SAINT ROSE: The Golden Knights advanced to their fourth regional final in six years behind a 4-0 victory at Franklin Pierce University on Sunday. Saint Rose, which is currently riding a 14-game unbeaten streak (13-0-1), got past the Ravens for the first time ever in postseason play having dropped the previous four encounters.

Northeast-10 Men’ s Swimming Athlete of the Week

Ricky Chidsey, Le Moyne (Sr., Liverpool, N.Y.) - Won two individual events and was a member of two winning relays to lead Le Moyne to a 163-107 win at Nazareth. Won the 100 back in 59.26 seconds and the 200-yard backstroke in a pool-record time of 2:10.26. Combined for wins as part of the 200-yard medley relay team (1:51.46) and the 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:41.63).

Northeast-10 Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week

Kristen Frost, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Madison, Conn.) - Won the 200 yard freestyle (1:50.50), the 100 yard butterfly (57.86) and the 100 yard freestyle (53.10) in a meet victory over C.W. Post.

Northeast-10 Men’s Diving Athlete of the Week

Zach Hisert , Le Moyne (Sr., Amsterdam, N.Y.) - Tallied 204.05 points to win the one-meter diving event in the 163-107 win at Nazareth.

Mike Christine, Le Moyne (Fr., Clifton Park, N.Y.) - Won an individual event and was a member of two winning relays to lead Le Moyne to a 163-107 win at Nazareth. Won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:00.61 and combined for wins as part of the 200-yard medley relay team (1:51.46) and the 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:41.63).

Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the Week

Eileen Mullowney, Saint Michael's (Fr., Burlington, Vt.) - Won two individual races in a dual meet at Skidmore. Took the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.23, winning by nearly five seconds) and the 100-yard freestyle (55.05, just .17 seconds shy of her program record).

Weekly Honor Roll:

Jill Capadanno, Assumption (Fr., Dracut, Mass.) – At the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, finished first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:06.54, in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 58.70, in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:47.57 and in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:50.40. In addition to four first place finishes she also added a third place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:07.30 and a fifth place finish in the 400-yard medley relay that finished with a time of 4:34 .48.

Katie O'Donnell, Le Moyne (Fr., Delmar, N.Y.) - Won three individual events and was a member of a winning relay to lead Le Moyne to a 162-138 win at Nazareth. Won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:14.49, the 400-yard freestyle in 4:38.48 and the 200-yard IM in 2:29.41. Combined for a win as part of the 200-yard medley relay team in a time of 2:07.80.

Seth Brown, Saint Michael's (Sr., Gorham, Maine) - Won an individual race, and swam the anchor leg of a winning relay team, in a dual-meet victory at Skidmore. Took the 50-yard freestyle (24.26, winning by just .01 seconds), and helped the team win the 400-yard medley relay in 4:03.05 (a seven-second victory).

Aidan Warhall, Saint Michael's (So., New Haven, Conn.) - Won two individual races in a dual-meet victory at Skidmore. Took the 400-yard individual medley (4:41.32, winning by more than 14 seconds) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:09.22, winning by more than seven seconds).

Emily Sundel, Southern Connecticut (Jr., West Hartford, Conn.) - Took home a first place finish in a meet win versus C.W. Post. Swam the 1650 yard freestyle in 17:23.58 qualifying for the NCAA Division II Standard-A. In addition, finished second in the 500 yard freestyle race with a time of 5:18.35.

Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Rhe-Ann Niles, New Haven (Gr., MH, St. Thomas, Barbados) - Led the team with 35 kills (3.18 kills per set) and a .491 hitting percentage in a 3-0 week as the Chargers captured the NE-10 Championship. Had 14 total blocks (12 assists and 2 solo) in the three matches and added nine digs and two assists. In the championship match against Merrimack, recorded a game-high 24 kills, .526 hitting percentage and 10 blocks.

Northeast-10 Setter of the Week

Yael Rosner, New Haven (Sr., S, Haifa, Israel) - Led the team with 118 assists (10.73 assists per set) as the Chargers captured the Northeast-10 Championship. Added 13 kills (.206 hitting percentage), 12 digs, five blocks and two aces. Had a game-high 55 assists, three blocks and three digs in the championship match against Merrimack.

Northeast-10 Libero of the Week

Alyssa Pickert, Merrimack (So., L, Tinley Park, Ill.) - Led the Warriors to the NE-10 Championship final with 6.91 digs per game, totaling 76 in 11 sets.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Elizabeth Akinbiyi, New Haven (Fr., MH, Miami Gardens, Fla.) - Ranked second on the team with 11 total blocks and third with 24 kills this past week as the Chargers captured the Northeast-10 Championship. Hit .419 in the three matches with just six errors in 43 attempts and had five solo blocks and six block assists. Recorded six blocks in the championship match against Merrimack.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Alex Kearney, Bentley (Jr., OH, La Jolla, Calif.) - Lifted Bentley past Franklin Pierce in opening round of conference playoffs with 13 kills, 13 digs and a .444 hitting percentage. Followed with 13 digs and nine kills in a loss to Merrimack in the semifinals. Overall, averaged 3.67 kills and 4.33 digs while hitting .288 in the tournament. Became fourth player in school history to join 1,000-kill, 1,000-dig club.

Cassie Kraft, Bentley (Jr., L, New Braunfels, Texas) - Averaged 5.17 digs during the conference playoffs with 16 against Franklin Pierce and 15 in the Merrimack match. Topped 500 digs for the third consecutive season.

Kristine Mickelson, Bentley (Jr., MH, San Diego, Calif.) - During the NE-10 playoffs, hit .474 while averaging 3.17 kills, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 digs. In a 3-0 win over Franklin Pierce, had seven kills, six blocks, two digs and a .375 hitting percentage. Hit .545 and amassed 12 kills, four digs and three blocks in semifinal loss to Merrimack.

Tori Piskulick, Bentley (Sr., S, San Diego, Calif.) - During the NE-10 tournament, averaged 6.5 assists and 1.8 digs. Had 18 assists, seven digs and two kills in a 3-0 win over Franklin Pierce, and 21 assists and four digs in the Merrimack.

Chelsie Kohout, Franklin Pierce (So., L, Harrison Township, Mich.) - Recorded a match-high 20 digs against Bentley in theNortheast-10 quarterfinal.

Caitlynn Parnell, Franklin Pierce (Jr., OH, Medina, Texas) - Led the Ravens with 10 kills in the Northeast-10 quarterfinal against Bentley.

Ale Kuncaitis, Merrimack (Sr., OH, Canton, Mass.) - Led the Warriors to the NE-10 Championship final with three double-doubles. Averaged 3.91 digs and 2.37 kills in 11 sets.

Elyse Lorenz, Merrimack (So., S, Frankfort, Ill.) - Led the Warriors to the NE-10 Championship final with 11.27 assists and 2.09 digs per game. Added a team-high three aces.

Katrina Ali, New Haven (Sr., L, Christ Church, Barbados) - Led the Chargers with 50 digs (4.55 assists per set) as the team captured the Northeast-10 Championship. Had a career-high 28 digs and no receive errors in the championship match against Merrimack. Also added three aces and three assists in three matches.

Charisse Cotton, New Haven (Sr., OH, East Patchogue, N.Y.) - Was second on the team with 33 kills (3.00 kills per set) and tallied a week-high 18 kills in the Northeast-10 Championship match. Also grabbed four block assists and six digs as the Chargers grabbed their first Northeast-10 Championship.

Anna Barczak, Stonehill (Fr., MH, Ridgefield, Conn.) - Hit .375 in a 1-1 week with 3.17 kills per set and .50 service aces per set, including a .435 attack percentage to go along with 11 kills, a service ace and three blocks in a quarterfinal sweep of American International.

Andrea Wirth, Stonehill (So., S, Mesa, Ariz.) - Averaged 9.33 assists per set and 2.67 digs per set in a 1-1 week, including 33 assists, 11 digs and a service ace in a sweep of American International in the NE-10 quarterfinals.

BENTLEY:
Bentley will be making its 10th NCAA tournament appearance, and fifth straight, when it takes on Bridgeport on Thursday afternoon. Junior Alex Kearney became only the fourth player in school history to accumulate both 1,000 career kills and 1,000 digs during Saturday’s NE-10 playoffs against Merrimack. Earlier that day, she became the sixth Bentley volleyball player to earn first-team All-Northeast-10 honors three times. Bentley was represented on the All-Championship Team at the NE-10 championships by junior Kristine Mickelson.

MERRIMACK: Making their second straight appearance in the Northeast-10 Championship, the Warriors earned their 20th win of the season in the semifinals against Bentley; marking the first time in school history they have reached the 20 win plateau.
