Northeast-10 Co-Players of the Week
Laurence Ekperigin, Le Moyne (Jr., F, Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) -
Averaged 22 points, while shooting at a 90.5-percent clip, 12
rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game in a pair of victories for the
Dolphins. Scored 24 points (19 in the second half), grabbed 12
rebounds and blocked two shots in a 91-74 victory over Felician.
Tallied 20 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks, while scoring his
1,000th career point, in a 70-53 win over Southern New
Hampshire.
Darren Duncan, Merrimack (Jr., G, Briarwood, N.Y.) - Averaged 24
points, nine assists and 5.7 rebounds during a 3-0 stretch. Scored
26 points and dished out eight assists in the win against Franklin
Pierce. In the win versus Bridgeport scored 24 points while
shooting 7-of-11 from the field. Recorded seven assists and five
rebounds. Recorded a double-double in the win versus Post with 22
points and 12 assists. Also grabbed six rebounds.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Adrian Mills, Pace (Fr., G, Woodbridge, Va.) - Averaged 17 points
and 3.8 rebounds, while shooting 49.1-percent (26-for-53) from the
field during a 2-2 span. Shot 10-for-18 from the field, finishing
with 22 points and four rebounds against Philadelphia. Went
6-for-11 from the field for 18 points, three boards and five
assists in a win over Mercy. Tallied 20 points and four rebounds on
6-for-10 shooting in a win over New Haven.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Mike Baldarelli, Assumption (So., G, Sutton, Mass.) - In a 2-1
week, averaged 19 points and five rebounds per game. In a win over
New York Tech had 24 points including a buzzer beater to win the
game. Added two assists and four steals as well as having seven
rebounds. In a game against C.W. Post scored 16 points, six
rebounds, two assists and one steal. In a win over Southern
Connecticut scored 17 points had two assists and one steal.
Kinard Dozier, Franklin Pierce (So., G, Dedham, Mass.) - Averaged
15 points, 8.5 rebounds, two blocks, two steals and 1.5 assists in
two games over the holiday break. Shot a combined 47.8-percent
(11-for-23) from the field. Recorded a double-double with 15 points
and career-high matching ten rebounds against Merrimack. Posted 15
points, a game-high seven rebounds, four blocked shots and three
steals against Adelphi.
Chris Johnson, Le Moyne (Fr., G, Lindenhurst, N.Y.) - Averaged 18
points and two assists in a pair of victories. Scored 17 points (14
in the second half) and dished out four assists in a 91-74 victory
over Felician. Tallied 19 points, while connecting on five
three-pointers, in a 70-53 win over Southern New Hampshire.
Kyle Caiola, UMass Lowell (Fr., G, Parma, Ohio) - Posted averages
of 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and two steals per game while shooting
.667 from 3-point range (4-6) in a 3-0 week. Opened the week with
17 points and seven rebounds in an 80-67 win over Bloomfield in the
Pace Holiday Classic opener (Did not play in the second round win
over Mercy - 85-41). Followed with 16 points (all but one in the
first half), six steals and three assists in the 83-47 win over
Saint Michael's.
Victor Colon, UMass Lowell (Jr., F, Chicago, Ill.) - Averaged 17
points and seven rebounds while shooting .450 from 3-point range
(9-20) and .714 from the free throw line (10-14) in a 3-0 week.
Opened with 16 points and five rebounds, hitting 4-7 3-point
attempts and followed with 16 points (4-8 FGs, 2-5 treys and 6-8
free throws) and eight rebounds in the 85-41 win over Mercy. Capped
the week with 19 points (7-15, 3-8, 2-2) and eight rebounds in an
83-47 victory over Saint Michael's.
Max Kerman, UMass Lowell (So., G, Watertown, Mass.) - Named Most
Valuable Player of the Pace Holiday Classic with averages of 16.5
points and 12.0 rebounds while shooting .500 from the field
(11-22), .600 from long range (3-5) and .727 from the free throw
line (8-11). Registered 14 points and 11 rebounds (4-8 from the
field, 6-8 from the line) in the 80-67 win over Bloomfield and
followed with career-highs of 19 points (7-14 FGs, 3-4 treys) and
13 rebounds in an 85-41 win over Mercy. Also chipped in four points
and two rebounds in the 83-47 win over Saint Michael's.
Cassius Chaney, New Haven (Jr., F, Old Saybrook, Conn.) - Averaged
15.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game over a three-game span.
Recorded a double-double against Pace, scoring a game-high 28
points and collecting 12 rebounds. Shot a perfect 7-for-7 from the
free throw line and averaged two assists over the last three
games.
Laurence McGhee, Pace (Jr., G, Linden, N.J.) - Averaged 14.8
points, 5.5 assists, three rebounds and 2.3 steals during a 2-2
stretch, while shooting 51.4-percent (18-for-35) from the field.
Recorded 12 points, three rebounds and five assists against
Philadelphia. Tallied 20 points on 7-for-12 shooting to go along
with seven rebounds, nine assists and three steals against
Bloomfield. Also shot 10-for-14 from the free throw line. Posted 20
points, two rebounds and six assists in a win over New Haven. Shot
6-for-10 from the field and a perfect 7-for-7 from the charity
stripe in the win.
Thomas Baudinet, Saint Anselm (So., G, Watertown, Conn.) -
Averaged 18 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals in a
2-0 week, while shooting 6-for-11 from three-point land. Had 17
points and six rebounds versus Bloomfield, followed by an 18-point,
nine-rebound, five-assist showing versus Holy Family.
Pat Luptowski, Saint Anselm (So., G, Keene, N.H.) - Averaged 18.5
points, four rebounds and one steal in a 2-0 week. Shot 55 percent
from three-point land, hitting 11-of-20 attempts. Had 16 points,
four rebounds and three steals in a win over Bloomfield. In a win
over Holy Family, knocked down seven second-half three-pointers in
a 21-point outburst to defeat the Tigers.
Branimir Zeko, Saint Anselm (Jr., F, Mississauga, Ontario) -
Averaged a 15-point, 13-rebound double-double in a 2-0 week, while
shooting 56.3 percent from the field. In a win over Bloomfield, had
16 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks. Followed that with a
14-point, 13-rebound effort in a victory over Holy Family.
Jermaine Clark, Saint Rose (Jr., G, Perth Amboy, N.J.) - Averaged
15 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists in a 2-1 stretch over the
holiday break. Shot 47.2 percent (17-for-36) from the field,
including a 7-for-18 effort from beyond the arc. Poured in a
career-high 28 points in a 68-49 triumph over New York Tech at the
C.W. Post Holiday Invitational. Hit 10-of-14 shots from the field
and was 5-of-8 from long range. Converted the front end of a
one-and-one with three seconds left to give the Golden Knights a
74-73 overtime win versus American International. Finished with 13
points, seven boards and six assists in the contest.
Tory Stapleton, Southern New Hampshire (So., F, Rahway, N.J.) -
Averaged 15 points and seven rebounds per game in a 1-2 week.
Poured in a career-high 23 points while grabbing nine rebounds in a
one point setback to Bridgeport.
A.J. Rudowitz, Stonehill (Jr., F, Monroe Township, N.J. - Averaged
17.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, two steals and one block
while shooting 64 percent during a 3-0 stretch. Scored a
career-high 25 points and added 10 rebounds and five steals in a
win over Molloy. Posted 14 points and seven rebounds in the win
over Concordia. Recorded 14 points, eight rebounds and three
assists in the win over Bentley.
Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: Bentley’s school-record and
best-in-Division II 42-game home winning streak ended on Saturday
with a 78-65 loss to Stonehill. In that same game, junior guard
Jason Westrol (Brielle, N.J.) became the 45th player in the
program’s history to reach the 1,000 career point plateau,
and the 16th to do so as a junior.
LE MOYNE: Laurence Ekperigin became the 35th
member of Le Moyne's 1,000-point club and 13th player to record
1,000 points and 600 rebounds.
MERRIMACK: Merrimack is 9-1, marking the best
ever start in the 29 year coaching history of Bert Hammel.
PACE: In a win over Mercy on December 29, senior
forward Randy Wilson became the 17th player in school history to
total 500 career rebounds. He currently has 517 for his career.
STONEHILL: The win for Stonehill over Bentley
ended a pair of streaks - a 15-game losing stretch to the Falcons
and Bentley's 42-game home court winning streak. Dave McLaughlin
now has 96 career wins at Stonehill Only three men have more in
program history. Randall Stallworth (Toms River, N.J.) now has 340
career assists.

Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Johannah Leedham, Franklin Pierce (Jr., F, Ellesmere Port,
England) - Averaged 23.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.7
steals and 1.3 blocked shots as the Ravens posted a 3-1 record over
the last two weeks. Made 26-for-43 of her shots from the field and
converted 12-of-14 of her free-throws in the three games. Scored a
game-high 27 points (20 first half) in 23 minutes in the win over
#15 Shippensburg. Netted a game-high 26 points in win over
Wilmington.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Alex Fiola, Southern Connecticut (Fr., G, Fall River, Mass.) -
Finished with a career-high 29 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the
floor, 4-of-6 from behind the three-point line and 7-of-7 from the
charity stripe in the victory over Assumption. Scored 12 points on
4-of-6 from behind the arc in the loss to Holy Family
Weekly Honor Roll:
Kayla Parker, Assumption (Jr., F, Sanford, Maine) - Averaged 16
points per game in two games this past week. In a game against
Adelphi scored 22 points including 10-of-12 from the floor and
2-of-2 from the free throw line, while grabbing four rebounds. In a
game against Southern Connecticut scored ten points and had four
rebounds as well as adding three assists and two blocked shots.
Kristy McLean, Bentley (Sr., G, Staten Island, N.Y.) - In a 2-1
week, averaged 17.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.7 steals. Shot 50
percent from the field and made 12 of 16 free throws. Posted
double-doubles against Bridgeport (22 points, 10 rebounds) and
Dowling (15 points, 12 rebounds), and had 15 points against
nationally-ranked Stonehill.
Vanessa Power, Franklin Pierce (Sr., G, Mildura, Australia) -
Averaged 11 points and 2.3 rebounds off the bench as the Ravens
went 3-1 over the last two weeks. Made 11-of-18 (61.1%)
three-pointers over the four games as part of an overall 58.3%
(14-24) shooting effort from the field, also making 5-of-6 (83.3%)
free-throw attempts. Netted a season-high 27 points (one shy of her
career-best), aided by 6-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc, against
Grand Canyon.
Courtney Coryea, Le Moyne (Jr., F, Mooers Forks, N.Y.) - Averaged
18.7 points and 6.7 rebounds in a 2-1 week. Scored 16 points in a
59-56 victory over Texas Woman's at the San Diego Surf N' Slam
Classic. Tallied 14 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots in a
69-66 double-overtime loss to Molloy at the Surf N' Slam Classic.
Registered a career-high 26 points, grabbed five rebounds and
blocked three shots in a 54-49 home victory over Southern New
Hampshire.
Alysia Saunders, New Haven (Jr., F, Bronx, N.Y.) - Averaged a
double-double over a 2-1 span. Put up an average of 12 points and
10 rebounds per contest. In the two-day Pace Holiday Classic,
scored 14 points and grabbed 15 rebounds against NYIT and followed
up with a 13 point and 10 rebound performance against Caldwell the
following day.
Jen Valente, UMass Lowell (Jr., F, Prospect, Conn.) - Posted
averages of 13.3 points and 5.7 rebounds in a 1-2 week. Named to
the All-Tournament Team at the San Diego Surf N’ Slam
Classic, opening with 14 points and six rebounds while shooting
.583 from the field (7-12) in a 57-54 loss to Wisconsin-Parkside.
Followed with nine points, seven rebounds and two assists in a
70-60 victory over Mercyhurst and capped the week matching her
season-high of 17 points (6-12 field goals, 2-4 treys and 3-4 free
throws) and four rebounds in a 63-62 loss to Saint Michael's.
Brittany Shields, Pace (Fr., F, Cold Spring, N.Y.) - Averaged a
double-double with 14.3 points and 12.7 rebounds in a 3-0 week.
Shot 48-percent (12-for-25) from the field and 79.2-percent
(19-for-24) from the free throw line, while also averaging 4.3
steals and two blocks in three games. Totaled 11 points and 16
rebounds along with three steals in a win over Caldwell. Posted 16
points, 12 boards, six steals, while shooting 8-for-10 from the
charity stripe in a win over New York Tech. Netted 16 points, 10
rebounds, along with four assists, four blocks, and four steals,
while shooting a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line, earning
a conference victory over New Haven.
Courtney May, Saint Anselm (Jr., F, Lakeville, Mass.) - In the
team's lone game of the week, posted a 15-point, 13-rebound
double-double in the 61-46 win over Bridgeport. Was 7-for-8 from
the field, and had two assists, two blocks and three steals.
Michelle Otey, Saint Michael's (Jr., F, Southborough, Mass.) - In
a 2-1 week, averaged 11.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
Ashley Anderson, Saint Rose (Sr., F, Portland, Maine) - Registered
a double-double in a 60-44 win versus American International. Wound
up with 16 points and 15 rebounds in the game to go with two
assists and two steals. Hit 7-of-12 shots from the floor and was
2-for-3 from the stripe as well.
Lexi Allen, Southern Connecticut (Sr., F, Southbury, Conn.) -
Totaled 14 points against Assumption, including a game-winning jump
shot with 1.2 seconds remaining in the game. Finished 6-of-13 from
the floor, 2-of-5 from behind the three-point line and tallied five
steals in the victory.
Stephanie Houghton, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., G, Manchester,
N.H.) - Averaged 11.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game
in a 2-1 week. Went 4-of-6 from three-point land and totaled 17
points and six rebounds in a win over Bridgeport.
Kristen McWhirter, Stonehill (So., G, Melvin Village, N.H.) -
Averaged 16.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in three
victories during the holiday break. Had 17 points, five rebounds,
five assists in a win at Adelphi, then had a career-high 19 points,
six rebounds and five assists in a win over Dominican. Wrapped up
the stretch with four three pointers and 14 points and three steals
in a win over Bentley.
Kelsey Simonds, Stonehill (Jr., F, Middleboro, Mass.) - Averaged
15.7 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 2.3 assists on 49 percent
shooting in a 3-0 stretch. Had 16 points and 10 rebounds in a win
over Adelphi, 20 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Dominican
then had 11 points and eight rebounds in a comeback win over
Bentley. Scored her 1,000th point in win over Dominican and had
seven points and seven rebounds in the key second half in the win
over Bentley.
Bethany Tighe, Stonehill (Sr., F, North Easton, Mass.) - Averaged
12.7 points and 10 rebounds in a 3-0 stretch. Had back-to-back
double doubles, including a 10 -point, 12-rebound effort in win
over Adelphi. Then had 16 points and 10 rebounds on a perfect
7-for-7 shooting in win over Dominican. Had 12 points and eight
rebounds in win over Bentley. Shot 58 percent from the floor
(15-for-26) and made two of three triples as well as all of her
free throw attempts (6-for-6).

FRANKLIN PIERCE: Head Coach Mark Swasey picked up
his 100th victory at Franklin Pierce with the Ravens 76-44 win over
Merrimack just before Christmas. Swasey is now 102-83 (.551) over
his seven seasons at the University, posting an overall coaching
record of 158-109 (.592) in ten years. Junior All-American Johannah
Leedham became just the third player in program history to reach
the 1,500 career point mark over the holidays. Her 1,544 career
points are 74 shy of Juanita Brown (1,618) for second all-time in
program history. Senior Jennifer Leedham (Ellesmere Port, England)
became just the fourth player in program history to collect 200
career steals with her two thefts against Wilmington on Sunday. Her
201 career steals are 40 behind younger sister, Johannah Leedham's
career record total of 241.
SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: Senior Stephanie Houghton
moved into third place on SNHU's career three-point list Saturday.
Her two threes against Le Moyne gives her 122 for her career.

Ryan Mero, Saint Michael's (Sr., F, Peekskill, N.Y.) - In a 0-1-1
week, the senior forward tallied two goals and three assists.

Taylor Larsen, Assumption (Fr., F, Blackstone, Mass.) - Was
selected the Assumption College Holiday All-Tournament team after
scoring the game tying goal in the semi-finals against Johnson
&Wales.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Chris Healey, Saint Michael's (Sr., F, Salem, N.H.) - In a 0-1-1
week, recorded a goal and two assists, and was also named to the
Saint Michael's College Holiday Classic All-Tournament Team.

Northeast-10 Men’ s Swimming Athlete and Freshman of
the Week
Ryan Brauer, Saint Rose (Fr., Clifton Park, N.Y.) - Posted
victories in the 100 butterfly and the 400 freestyle to lead the
Golden Knights men’s squad in a 121-62 loss versus top-ranked
Wayne State. Swam the 100 fly in 1:04.98 and recorded a 4:29.12
clocking for the 400 free. Was also part of the winning 400 medley
relay quartet that posted a 4:34.85 clocking.
Northeast-10 Women’s Swimming Athlete of the
Week
Anne Kaduboski, Bentley (So., Dedham, Mass.) - Extended her string
of individual event victories in dual meets to 28 by placing first
in the 50 freestyle (26.68), 100 backstroke (1:03.71) and 400
individual medley (4:48.04) against Plymouth State. Also led off
Bentley’s winning 400 medley relay team (4:23.68).

Week

Northeast-10 Women’s Diving Athlete of the
Week
Emily Travers, Bentley (So., Brentwood, N.H.) - Swept the diving
events in a dual meet against Plymouth State, with scores of 201.25
on the one-meter and 222.75 on the three-meter.
Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the
Week
Susie Boretti, Bentley (Fr., Westford, Mass.) - Against Plymouth
State, finished first in the 200 freestyle (2:07.65) and the 100
breaststroke (1:15.23). Also finished third in the 400 individual
medley (5:14.12) and swan a 28.90 first leg in the 200 free
relay.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Lynne Tutunjian, Bentley (Sr., Shrewsbury, Mass.) - In
Bentley’s win over Plymouth State, finished first in both the
50 yard butterfly (29.57) and the 100 fly (1:05.71), and
participated on winning 400 medley relay team (4:23.68). Also
helped Falcons finish second in the 200 free relay (1:51.87),
swimming the lead leg in 27.62.

string of individual wins in dual meets to 28 with three victories
