Northeast-10 Men’s Athlete of the Week
Pat Cullen, Saint Rose (Gr., Hyde Park, N.Y.) - Completed the 8k
layout at the Brooks Paul Short run hosted by Lehigh University in
27:08 to place 50th in a field that featured 270 runners.
Northeast-10 Women’s Athlete of the
Week
Mary Lynn Denholm, Saint Michael's (Sr., Sparks, Md.) - Became the
first female in school history to win the Vermont State
Championship. Ran the 5K course in 18:52.1 (3:46/K pace), besting
the runner-up by just three-tenths of a second in a meet involving
schools from all three NCAA divisions.
Northeast-10 Men’s Freshman of the Week
Brandon Madigan, Saint Rose (Fr., Scotia, N.Y.) - Took 56th among
270 entries at the Brooks Paul Short Run that was hosted by Lehigh
University. Completed the 8k trek in 27:13 to become the second
Saint Rose runner across the line.
Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the
Week
Gina Micaroni, Le Moyne (Fr., Blossvale, N.Y.) - Registered a
27th-place finish at Lehigh's Paul Short Run. Completed the 6K
course in 22:50 to lead the Dolphins to a 25th-place finish in the
37-team, 260-member field race
Weekly Honor Roll:
Patrick Erban, Assumption (Fr., Attleboro, Mass.) - At the Keene
State Invitational ran the 8k course in 27:41 to finish 1:22 behind
the leader.
Heather Gostyla, Assumption (Sr., Bloomfield, Conn.) - At the
Keene State Invitational ran a 20:32 to finish 1:21 behind the
individual winner.
Courtney Garrity, Franklin Pierce (Sr., Manchester, N.H.) -
Finished 136th at the Pop Crowell Invitational with a time of
22:59.
Sarah Brassard, UMass Lowell (Sr., Oxford, Mass.) - Placed fifth
overall and fourth among scoring runners at the Keene State
Invitational. Ran the 5K course in 19:25 and led UMass Lowell to
fourth place among six teams.
Jessica Markik, Saint Anselm (Jr., Shelton, Conn.) - Led Saint
Anselm to a fifth-place finish at the Pop Crowell Invitational with
an 18th-place showing in a time of 20:02.
Joanne Smith, Saint Rose (Sr., Monroe, N.Y.) - Finished 58th among
260 runners at the Brooks Paul Short Run that was hosted by Lehigh
University. Ran the swiftest 6k time in the past 10 years by a
Saint Rose competitor with a 23:34 clocking to wind up 58th among
260 runners.
Alex Brown, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., Hudson, N.H.) - Placed
16th out of 232 runners with the second-fastest 8K time in program
history (27:30) at the Pop Crowell Invitational.
Jacquelyn Dussault, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., Manchester, N.H.)
- Registered the third-fastest 5K time in program history (20:11)
to finish 22nd out of 276 runners at the Pop Crowell
Invitational.
Emma Lundberg, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., Vinalhaven, Maine) -
Posted the second-fastest 5K time in program history (19:59) to
finish 17th out of 276 runners at the Pop Crowell Invitational.
Weekly Notes:
SAINT MICHAEL’S: Senior Mary Lynn Denholm
became the first female in school history to win the Vermont State
Championships on Saturday at Castleton State College. Denholm ran
the 5K course in 18:52.1 (3:46/K pace), besting the runner-up from
Middlebury College by just three-tenths of a second. The meet
featured 10 schools, including the University of Vermont (an NCAA
Division I program).
SAINT ROSE: Senior Joanne Smith posted the fastest 6k
time by a Saint Rose runner in 10 years after crossing the line in
23:34 at the Brooks Paul Short Run that was hosted by Lehigh
University on Friday.

Northeast-10 Co-Players of the Week
Courtney Bartlett, Bentley (Jr., M, Brunswick, Maine) - Had three
goals in wins over Saint Michael’s and American
International. Scored on a penalty stroke against the Purple
Knights and had her first career multi-goal game against the Yellow
Jackets.
Claire Hourihan, Stonehill (Jr., F, East Amherst, N.Y.) - Scored
three goals in a 1-1 week. Scored a goal with 11 seconds left to
send the game with UMass-Lowell into overtime and then added two
more tallies in a 3-1 win over Saint Michael's.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Alyssa Sliney, Bentley (Jr., GK, Brewster, Mass.) - Made a total
of 14 saves and allowed a pair of goals, for a 1.00 GAA, during a
2-0 week. Had ten saves in a 2-1 victory against #7 Saint
Michael’s.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Danielle Dolan, Franklin Pierce (Fr., F, West Brookfield, Mass.) -
Scored twice, including the game-winner, in the 4-3 win over
Southern Connecticut.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Katie Debler, Franklin Pierce (Jr., F, Walpole, Mass.) - Scored
twice in the 4-3 win over Southern Connecticut.
Stephanie Howard, Franklin Pierce (Sr., D, Norwalk, Conn.) -
Scored twice, including the game-winning tally and added an assist
to record five points in the 3-1 win at Merrimack.
Kayleigh Jaksina, Franklin Pierce (Sr., D, Townsend, Mass.) -
Scored a goal and assisted on the game-winner in the 3-1 win at
Merrimack.
Kristin Tormollan, Franklin Pierce (Fr., GK, Waterville, Maine) -
Made six saves in a 2-0 week. Turned aside four of seven shots on
goal in the 4-3 win over Southern Connecticut. Made two saves
against three shots on goal in the 3-1 win at Merrimack.
Michelle Harrington, UMass Lowell (Sr., M, Rockport, Mass.) - Had
two assists in two victories this past week to extend assist/point
streak to 11 games.
Jaci Moulton, UMass Lowell (Jr., F , Baldwinville, Mass.) –
Scored the game-winning goal in overtime versus Stonehill, 2-1.
Jessica DeLacey, Merrimack (Sr., F, Charlton, Mass.) - Tallied a
goal and two assists in two games this past week.
Erin Paduda, Southern Connecticut (So., M, Madison, Conn.) -
Recorded a career-high four points (one goal, two assists) in the
win over Saint Anselm. Figured in on all three goals.
Sara Winterbottom, Southern Connecticut (So., M, Burlington,
Conn.) - Tallied single goals in each of the team’s two
outings last week, including the game-winner against Saint
Anselm.
Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: Bentley’s seven goals against American
International not only extended the team’s winning streak to
seven, but was its highest total since September 2006.
STONEHILL: Claire Hourihan has 12 goals this season,
third most in a single season in school history and her 28 points
are sixth most.

Northeast-10 Offensive Player and Freshman of the
Week
James Suozzo, Merrimack (Fr., QB, Everett, Mass.) - Making his
first collegiate appearance, completed 21 of 42 passes and threw
for 246 yards and three touchdowns, while rushing for 59 yards and
a score, in the 31-28 win over Pace.
Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Week
Mike O’Brien, Merrimack (Sr., CB, Marlboro, Mass.) - Tallied
two interceptions, including one on the final drive of the game,
helping the team to a 31-28 win over Pace.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Mike Mayo, American International (Fr., RB, Roosevelt, N.Y.) - Had
30 carries for a season-high 196 yards and scored one touchdown in
the 37-6 win at Saint Anselm.
Rich Reichert, American International (Jr., LB, Kings Park, N.Y.)
- Recorded a team-best nine tackles, including six solo take downs,
with two tackles for loss and a sack in the 37-6 victory over Saint
Anselm.
Travis Poole, American International (Gr., WR, Brooklyn, N.Y.) -
Had nine catches for 106 yards and scored two touchdowns in the
37-6 win at Saint Anselm. Had scoring catches of four and 14
yards.
Dominique Price, Assumption (So., WR, Worcester, Mass. - In a game
against Bentley had six receptions for a total of 180 yards an
average of 30 yards per catch, including a reception for 83 yards.
Also scored two touchdowns.
Bryant Johnson, Bentley (So., QB, Hopedale, Mass.) - In
two-and-a-half quarters of play, completed 17 of 30 passes for 187
yards and one touchdown while engineering Bentley’s
come-from-behind win versus Assumption; led Falcons on scoring
drives on four of seven possessions, excluding one ended by the
halftime clock. Ten of his completions resulted in first downs or
touchdowns.
Matt Zahoruiko, Bentley (Jr., LB, North Andover, Mass.) - Was in
on a season-high 13 tackles in the 22-19 win over Assumption; ten
of those came over the final three quarters when Bentley limited
the Greyhounds to 70 yards, seven first downs and no points.
Eric Ortega, Pace (So., WR, Staten Island, N.Y.) - Had nine
receptions for 138 yards and a pair of touchdowns against
Merrimack.
Cruz Parsons, Stonehill (Sr., QB, Signal Hill, Calif.) - In the
35-34 overtime loss at Iona was 23-of-40 for a career-high 312
yards and two touchdowns. Also accounted for 37 yards on the
ground.
Weekly Notes:
AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL: AIC's 37-6 win at Saint
Anselm was the Yellow Jackets’ 11th in a row, a streak began
with a 44-21 win over Merrimack on October 6, 2007, tying the
school-record for consecutive victories that was set during the
1974-75 seasons.
BENTLEY: Bentley matched its biggest comeback
victory of the last 13 seasons Friday night when it overcame a 19-0
first-quarter deficit to edge Assumption, 22-19. Bentley previously
climbed out of a 19-point hole on Nov. 16, 2002 when it beat
Stonehill, 41-26, after trailing 26-7.
STONEHILL: In two games against Division I-AA
(FCS) teams, Stonehill has equaled their offensive outputs, 48-48
but have been outscored by Northeast-10 competition 73-52. Cruz
Parsons' 312 yards passing in the loss at Iona marked the first
time a Stonehill quarterback has topped the mark since 1997. The
overtime game against Iona was Stonehill's first extra session
contest since 2002, a 20-14 loss to Pace.

Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Angelo Reina, Le Moyne (So., F, Frankfurt, N.Y.) - Registered six
points on three goals in a 2-0 week. Tallied a pair of goals in the
3-0 non-conference win over Nyack. Opened the scoring in the 2-1
win over #13 Merrimack with a breakaway goal at the 16:19 mark of
the contest.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Sean Lambert, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., GK, Rehoboth, Mass.) -
Posted a 0.41 goals-against average and a .875 save percentage in
two ties last week. Recorded his sixth shutout of the season with
three saves at Southern Connecticut and turned away three shots
versus Bentley.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Vinny Papageorgiou, Franklin Pierce (Fr., GK, Wilmington, Mass.) -
Allowed just a goal in 166:23 of action, posting a 0.54 goals
against average and averaging one save in a 2-0 week. Made one stop
in a shutout victory over Mercy. Made a save to preserve a 2-1 win
at Saint Anselm.

Benard Kessie, American International (Gr., F, Worcester, Mass.) -
Scored the game-winning goal in the 2-0 win over Saint Rose.
Stephen Blaisdell, Assumption (So., F, Peabody, Mass.) - Scored a
goal in a 2-2 draw with Southern Connecticut.
Eric Heuze, Bentley (Fr., M, Geneva, Switzerland) - Had a goal and
an assist against UMass-Lowell. Scored the team’s first goal,
then assisted on the second to tie the score at 2-2.
Chris Lipsett, Bentley (Sr., M, Walpole, Mass.) - Had a goal and
an assist against UMass-Lowell. Set up the team’s first goal
of the game to tie the score at 1-1. Then scored the second goal to
tie the score at 2-2.
Viktor Goncalves, Franklin Pierce (Fr., F, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)
- Totaled a goal and three assists for five points in a 2-0 week.
Entire scoring haul came in the 6-0 win over Mercy. Assisted on the
first two goals, before capping a four goal Raven outburst in a ten
minute span with a marker in the 72nd minute.
Kensaku Tsuji, Franklin Pierce (Jr., M, Tokushima, Japan) -
Totaled two goals and three assists for seven points in a 2-0 week.
Posted two goals and two assists as the team scored six second half
goals in the 6-0 victory over Mercy. Assisted on the match-winning
goal with 7:32 left in regulation to lift the Ravens to a 2-1 NE-10
win at Saint Anselm.
Jesse Carr, Le Moyne (Fr., M, Skaneateles, N.Y.) - Registered five
points on a goal and three assists in a 2-0 week. Tallied a goal
and an assist in the 3-0 non-conference win over Nyack. Recorded an
assist on both goals in the 2-1 win over #13 Merrimack.
Steve White, Le Moyne (Jr., GK, Cortland, N.Y.) - Posted a 0.50
goals against average and one save in a 2-0 week. Had to record
just one save in the 3-0 non-conference win over Nyack. Yielded
just one goal in the 2-1 win over #13 Merrimack.
Jamie Wangia, UMass Lowell (Sr., M, Lowell, Mass.) - In the
team’s only action of the week, scored two goals in a 3-2
victory over Bentley.
Oren Corridon, New Haven (Jr., F, Selden, N.Y.) - Scored two
goals, the first two of his career, in the team’s lone game
of the week, a 4-2 win versus American International. The second
goal proved to be the game winner.
Sam Lamptey, Saint Anselm (Sr., F, Worcester, Mass.) - Had three
goals and one assist in a 1-1 week. Had the team's lone goal in a
2-1 loss to Franklin Pierce and then had two goals and an assist in
a 4-0 road win at Saint Rose.
Tim Warren, Saint Michael's (Sr., D, Rehoboth, Mass.) - In a 1-1
week, headed in the game-winning goal in the 70th minute in a 2-1
win at Stonehill.

Scored four goals for eight points in a 2-0 week. Netted three
goals in a ten-minute span late in the first half in the 5-0
victory at Pace. Collected a goal as the Ravens scored four first
half markers in a 4-0 victory over Saint Anselm.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Brittany Ester, Franklin Pierce (Sr., GK, Toms River, N.J.) - Did
not concede a goal, while averaging two saves per match, in 180
shutout minutes in goal during a 2-0 week. Posted three second half
stops to preserve a 5-0 shutout victory at Pace. Made one stop in
the 4-0 shutout of Saint Anselm.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Christina Cuffari, Saint Rose (Fr., M, Brick, N.J.) - Recorded
four points behind one goal and two assists in a 2-0 week. Added a
late goal in a 2-0 victory at American International and in a 4-2
win at Saint Anselm, picked up a pair of assists.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Sarah Boornazian, American International (So., F, Farmington,
Conn.) - Scored the game-winning goal in the 2-0 win over New
Haven.
Nikki Muhlberg, American International (Fr., M, East Hampton,
Conn.) - Scored one goal with one assist in the 2-0 win over New
Haven. Assisted on the game winner before netting her first career
goal in the closing minutes of the game to seal the win.
Kelley DeWalt, Assumption (Jr., M, Londonderry, N.H.) - Scored the
game winning goal in the 1-0 victory versus Dowling College.

and one shutout. Picked up a shutout via a 2-0 win against American

Jenna Mallico, Southern Connecticut (Fr., M, Milford, Conn.) -
Scored the game-winning goal against Assumption with three minutes
remaining in the game.
Christina Nunes, Southern Connecticut (Sr., M, Naugatuck, Conn) -
Scored her first goal of the season in the 1-1 draw against No. 17
Southern New Hampshire.
Danielle Quinlan, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., MF, North Andover,
Mass.) - Converted a penalty kick with 4:32 remaining in regulation
to forge a 1-1 tie with Southern Connecticut.
Stef Young, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., GK, Natick, Mass.) -
Posted a 0.45 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage in a
1-0-1 week. Made six saves en route to her fourth shutout of the
season against Bentley.

FRANKLIN PIERCE: Senior goalkeeper Brittany Ester
posted a pair of shutouts last week, giving her 16 in her two year
career with the Ravens to earn sole possession of sixth place on
Franklin Pierce's career list, passing Aase Kibsgaard who posted 15
shutouts in 2002-2003.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Joe Persia, Le Moyne (Fr., No. 5 Singles/No. 3 Doubles,
Spencerport, N.Y.) - Earned a three-set win at fifth singles and
was victorious at third doubles at Union. Recorded a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2
victory in singles action and an 8-2 victory in doubles play.

Stonehill. Won her first singles match by scores of 6-0, 6-3 and
then took a 9-7 triumph at first doubles.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Jennifer Erickson, Assumption (Fr., No. 1 Singles/ Doubles,
Simsbury, Conn.) - In a match against New Haven, was unbeaten in
number one singles and number one doubles. Winning the number one
singles match 6-1, 6-1 and in the number one doubles she partnered
with Samantha Jean to win 8-0.

Recorded 11 kills in a 3-0 win over Roberts Wesleyan. Landed 15
kills and two service aces in a 3-0 sweep of Southern New Hampshire
and capped the week with 17 kills and 15 digs in a 3-1 win over
Saint Anselm.
Northeast-10 Setter of the Week
Kaylin Brainerd, Le Moyne (Jr., S, Liverpool, N.Y.) - Registered
106 assists (10.60/gm) and 20 digs (2.00/gm) in a 3-0 week.
Recorded 33 assists and five kills in a 3-0 win over Roberts
Wesleyan. Dished out 30 assists and posted two service aces in a
3-0 sweep of Southern New Hampshire and Capped the week with 43
assists and 12 digs in the 3-1 win over Saint Anselm.
Northeast-10 Libero of the Week
Katrina Ali, New Haven (Sr., L, Christ Church, Barbados) –
Led the team with 20 digs (3.33 digs/set) in a 2-0 week. Had a

Franklin Pierce and tallied 12 kills with 16 digs against
Merrimack.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Kervelle Redhead, American International (Fr., S, St. James,
Trinidad and Tobago) - Averaged 9.86 assists and 3.00 digs per game
in a 2-1 week. Tallied a season-high 67 assists and 14 digs in a
3-2 win over Franklin Pierce and notched 33 assists with seven digs
in a 3-1 win at Saint Michael's. Finished the week by registering
38 assists and a season-high 21 digs against Merrimack.
Alicia Smith, American International (So., MH, Bridgetown,
Barbados) - Averaged 2.43 kills and 1.21 blocks per game in a 2-1
week. Put down a season high 17 kills with six blocks in a 3-2 win
over Franklin Pierce and notched 11 kills and five blocks in a 3-1
win over Saint Michael's.
Alaura Berry, Bentley (So., MH, San Diego, Calif.) - Hit .405 and
averaged 2.33 kills and 1.11 blocks in wins over Stonehill and
Franklin Pierce. In a 3-2 win against Franklin Pierce, had 11
kills, seven blocks and a .409 hitting percentage.
Cassie Kraft, Bentley (Jr., L, New Braunfels, Texas) - In a pair
of victories, averaged 3.56 digs and 0.33 aces. Had 19 kills and
two aces versus Franklin Pierce and 13 digs in the Stonehill
match.
Kristine Mickelson, Bentley (Jr., MH, San Diego, Calif.) - In a
pair of NE-10 victories, hit .309 and averaged 2.89 kills, 0.44
blocks and 0.33 aces. Had a season-best 15 kills in a 3-2 win over
Franklin Pierce and 11 kills with a .429 hitting percentage in a
3-1 victory against Stonehill.
Lindsey Gleason, Le Moyne (Jr., L, Hamburg, N.Y.) - Registered 30
digs (3.00/gm) in a 3-0 week. Recorded 13 digs in a 3-0 win over
Roberts Wesleyan. Registered seven digs in a 3-0 sweep of Southern
New Hampshire and capped the week with 10 digs and three service
aces in the 3-1 win over Saint Anselm.
Lisa Barr, Merrimack (Jr., OH, Alberta, Canada) - Averaged 3.62
kills and 2.62 digs in eight sets this past week, leading Merrimack
to two victories.
Elyse Lorenz, Merrimack (So., S, Frankfort, Ill.) - Averaged 9.38
assists per set, getting 75 over eight sets. Added two service
aces, four kills, and 15 digs in a 2-0 week.
Charisse Cotton, New Haven (Sr., OH, East Patchogue, N.Y.) - In a
2-0 week, led the team with 28 kills (4.67 kills/set) with a .317
hit percentage with only nine errors on 60 attempts. Also
contributed seven digs and a block assist.
Danielle Furka, Pace (Sr., OH, Massapeaqua, N.Y.) - Averaged 3.5
kills, 3.2 digs and posted four aces in a 1-2 week. Led the team
with 12 kills, while adding 14 digs in a win over Stonehill.
Recorded six kills, two aces and eight digs against New Haven.
Rounded out the weekend with a team-best 17 kills, along with two
aces and 10 digs against New York Tech.
Marilyn Glamack, Saint Rose (Fr., OH, Victor, N.Y.) - Recorded 34
kills and 24 digs in a 2-1 week. Averaged 3.09 kills and 2.18 digs
while hitting .289. In a 3-0 win at Assumption, finished with 10
kills and hit .571 in the match and then registered 14 kills and 11
digs in a 3-2 setback at Southern New Hampshire. Finally, hit .364
with 10 kills and added seven digs in a 3-0 sweep of Saint
Anselm.
Andrea Nolan, Southern Connecticut (Fr., S, Ridgefield, N.J.) -
Recorded 86 assists in a 2-0 week with wins over Franklin Pierce
and Dominican. Averaged 10.75 assists per set.
Jenna Tammel, Southern Connecticut (Jr., RS, Spring Valley, Minn.)
- Had 19 kills in a 2-0 week. Averaged 3.80 kills and 3.20 digs per
game and also had eight service aces in wins over Franklin Pierce
and Dominican.
Stephanie Dluginski, Southern New Hampshire (So., MH, Floral Park,
N.Y.) - Totaled 36 kills (2.77 k/s) and 15 blocks (1.15 blk/s) in a
2-1 week. Finished with 14 kills and nine blocks (four solo) in a
3-2 win over UMass Lowell.
Brianna Doucet, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., OH, Danville, N.H.) -
Totaled 34 kills (2.62 k/s) and 32 digs (2.46 d/s) in a 2-1 week.
Had 12 kills and 11 digs in a five-set win over UMass Lowell and 12

BENTLEY: Alex Kearney (La Jolla, Calif.) reached
the 1,000-career kill plateau during the Falcons’ win over
Franklin Pierce. The junior is just the eighth to join that
