CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - With 26 total points, the University of New Haven women's outdoor track and field team finished in 14th place at the 2012 New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field Championships on the campus of M.I.T. Friday and Saturday. The Chargers' 26 points were also good enough for third place among Division II teams at the championship.

The Chargers totaled 16 points and were the fourth placed Division II team at the meet.

Chargers Eliminated From NE-10 Tournament with Pair of Losses

RINDGE, N.H. - The fourth seed University of New Haven baseball team suffered a pair of losses Friday in the Northeast-10 Conference Baseball Championship tournament and were eliminated from the tournament. The Chargers also concluded the season with a 25-19-1 overall record in 2012. The Chargers dropped the first game of the afternoon in a 5-6 heart-breaker to Franklin Pierce University. UNH faced Le Moyne College in the nightcap and fell 4-10 to the Dolphins.

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Shannon Angehr of the University of New Haven softball team was named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II All-East Region Second Team selection on Thursday. This year’s teams are comprised of 204 student-athletes from 89 institutions spread out over the eight NFCA regions, with a first and second team for each region.
