Stonehill Wins 2007-2008 David R. Brunk

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
South Easton, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference and the
conference Senior Women Administrator (SWA) council selected
Stonehill College as the recipient of the 2007-2008 David R. Brunk
Institution of the Year Sportsmanship Award.
The Skyhawks were rewarded the Institution of the Year
Sportsmanship Award at the third annual Northeast-10 Hall of Fame
and Awards Ceremony on Monday at the Colonnade Hotel in Boston,
Mass.
Throughout the 2007-2008 academic year the Northeast-10 awarded
one team from each of its 23 championship sports with the
‘Team Sportsmanship Award’ at the end of each
season’s championship segment.
The ‘Team Sportsmanship Award’ is presented to the
team that best exemplifies the spirit of sportsmanship and
generally conducts themselves with a high degree of integrity,
character and class.
Webster Bank, in conjunction with the Northeast-10, will make a
donation to the Skyhawks local Boys & Girls Club in their
name.
Sponsoring 23 championship sports and 15 full-time members, the
Northeast-10 is the second largest NCAA Division II athletic
conference in the nation and sponsors the most championships of any
Division II conference.
