Former and Current Players/Coaches With Ties to NE-10 to be Honored By New England Basketball Hall of Fame
A number of former and current players and coaches with ties to
the Northeast-10 Conference will be honored tomorrow night at the
annual New England Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony at
Mohegan Sun.

Assumption College: The men's basketball
program will be honored as the recipient of the Scholar-Athlete
Program of Excellence Award. The Award recognizes New England
basketball programs, which encourage classroom achievement,
athletic succes and postgraduate career success. In addition,
eight other former players with ties to Assumption Collegeg

Bentley University: Former Bentley head coach
Frank Sullivan will be inducted into the New England Basketball
Hall of Fame under the 'Division II Men's Coach' Division.
Sullivan coached the Falcons from 1984-1991. Also being
recognized is current head coach Jay Lawson as the Division II
Men's Coach of the Year. On the women's side, six former players
and assistant coaches will be recognized as well, including
Bentley's all-time leading scorer, Kelly Barker. Click

Franklin Pierce University: Former Franklin Pierce
men's basketball standout Larry Leach has been selected to the New
England Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2009, along with former
women's basketball coach Mark Swasey. Swasey led the Ravens
to back-to-back NCAA East Region Titles, including last year's
appearance in the National Championship game. For more information

Saint Anselm College: Men's basketball head coach
Keith Dickson and former men's basketball player Ed Hjerpe and
women's basketball player Sharon Dawley have been elected to the
New England Basketball Fall of Fame Class of 2009. Dickson
was elected as a coach, while Hjerpe was elected in the
scholar-athlete division along with Dawley. For additional

Saint Michael's College: The New England
Basketball Hall of Fame will honor five men's basketball legends
with ties to Saint Michael's, including the late George Jacobs and
Charlie Titus. Also being honored are Fran Laffin, the late

Southern Connecticut State University: Three
individuals with ties to Southern Connecticut basketball will be
inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame Class of
2009. Former women's basketball standout Kate Lynch and
former women's coach Joe Frager will be honored along with men's
coach Art Leary. In addition, the 2006-2007 NCAA Division II
women's basketball National Championship team will be

Southern New Hampshire University: Current men's
basketball head coach Stan Spirou has been elected into the New
England Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2009. Spirou will be
