Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Bryan Duplissie, Franklin Pierce (Sr., 1B, East Swanzey, NH) - In a 6-1 week hit a combined .478 (11-23) with five runs scored, three doubles, a home run and nine RBI. Slugged .739 and posted a .519 on-base percentage. Was 2-for-4 with a go-ahead solo home run in a 3-2 win over Saint Anselm. Hit 4-for-5 (2 2B, 4 RBI) in game two of doubleheader sweep at Assumption. Batted 3-for-5 (2B, 3 RBI) to close out the series sweep of Assumption.
Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Week
Eric Loh, Bryant (So., SP, Old Greenwich, CT) - Tossed two complete game shutouts picking up two wins. Did not allow any runs (ERA 0.00) and scattered nine hits over 18 innings. Struck out 17 batters and walked just one. Threw a two-hitter striking out 11 in a 2-0 win over AIC. Did not allow any extra base hits.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Tim Cadran, Bentley (Fr., SP, Greenfield, MA) - Pitched a complete game one-hit shutout in a 3-0 victory over Saint Rose. Threw 115 pitches, walked four and struck out two.
Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll:
Uchon Yi, American International (Jr., SP, Windsor Locks, CT) - Fired a complete-game three-hitter in an 8-0 shutout of Bryant. Struck out three without walking a batter in nine innings of work. Carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning and allowed just four base runners on the afternoon.
Mike Baillargeon, Assumption (Fr., SS, Worcester, MA) - Batted .423 (11-26, 8 R, 2 2B, 3B, 3 RBI) and slugged .577 (15 TB) last week. Went 2-for-4 (2 R) versus Saint Anselm. Hit a combined 6-for-10 (.600, 6 R, RBI, double, triple), including a 4-for-5 showing (5 R, triple, RBI) in the second game, in a two game series with Bentley.
Matt Cavallaro, Assumption (Sr., 1B, West Haven, CT) - Batted .478 (11-23, 6 R, 2 2B, 3B, 7 RBI) and slugged .652 (15 TB) last week. Went 2-for-4 (R, 2B) against Saint Anselm and 3-for-8 (R, RBI) in a doubleheader with Franklin Pierce. In two games against Bentley, went 5-for-7 (6 RBI, 4 R, 2B, 3B), including a 3-for-3 (4 RBI) in game two.
Luke Cowan, Bryant (So., SP, Wilton, CT) ? In two wins last week, did not allow a run in 16 innings, scattered just eight hits and struck out 15.
Shane Presutti, Franklin Pierce (Jr., SP, Southbridge, MA) - Was 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 16.0 innings of work over two starts last week. Tossed a complete-game three-hit shutout at Saint Anselm, striking out ten and walking just two. Turned in seven scoreless innings with nine strikeouts against Assumption. Yielded just nine hits in holding opposing batters to a .167 average for the week.
Scott Savastano, Franklin Pierce (Fr., 3B, Plymouth, MA) - Hit a team-best .529 (9-17) with four runs scored, three RBI and two stolen bases in four games in a 6-1 week. Was 4-for-5 (SB, 2 R) in game one of a doubleheader sweep of Assumption. Batted 3-for-5 (2 R, 2 RBI) in the series finale with Assumption.
Jim Shaughnessy, UMass Lowell (Sr., SP, Lowell, MA) - In a 6-1 victory at Bryant, allowed three hits, an unearned run and no walks while striking out six in eight innings.
David Qualben, Pace (Jr., SP, Brooklyn, NY) - In his only start of the week, held UMass Lowell scoreless, scattered three hits over eight innings and struck out a season-high 14 batters. Struck out five of the first eight batters he faced.
Leon Kruset, Saint Rose (Sr., SP, Brooklyn, NY) - Scattered four hits, fanned four and allowed only two runners to reach scoring position in a shutout win versus Bentley.
Michael Diaz, Southern Connecticut (Fr., SS, Monroe, CT) - Hit .481 (13-27) with four doubles (.630 slug.), six runs scored and four RBI in a 3-3 week. Added three walks for a .516 on-base percentage. Struck out only once in 31 plate appearances. Handled 26 errorless chances at shortstop (18 assists).
Josh Terletzky, Southern Connecticut (Jr., SP, Plainfield, CT) - Allowed one earned run on four hits in a complete-game victory over Saint Anselm. Retired 20 consecutive hitters from the second through eight innings. Struck out three and walked two.
Jim Fuller, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., SP, Marlboro, MA) - Fanned 13, allowed just two hits over eight innings and issued just one walk in a 3-0 win over Merrimack.
Max Vigliotti, Stonehill (Jr., OF, Stamford, CT) - Batted .364 (8-22) with pair of doubles, triple, three runs scored and seven RBI in a 3-2 week, including three hits and career-high four RBI in a 8-3 win over Southern New Hampshire. Posted a .545 slugging percentage and .417 on-base percentage while handling all 13 chances in field without error.

STONEHILL: Stonehill, ranked sixth in last week's NCAA Northeast Regional poll, reached the 25-win plateau for the seventh straight season with Saturday's second game triumph over Southern New Hampshire. Sunday's win over the Penmen was the 20th Northeast-10 triumph of the year for the Skyhawks, marking the third time in six years that Stonehill has reached that mark in conference play. Sunday's win over Southern New Hampshire enabled the Skyhawks to complete the month of April with a 15-3 mark that included a school-record tying 12-game winning streak. Senior P Billy Sittig (West Roxbury, Mass.) extended his career strikeout mark to 269 by fanning 12 in Stonehill's extra inning setback at Merrimack Friday. Freshman P Matt Giusti (Hopkinton, Mass.) picked up his first collegiate win in Sunday's triumph at Southern New Hampshire. The Skyhawks close out conference regular season play with five key contests against Southern Connecticut and UMass Lowell, with three of the five games to be played at Gorman Field?FRANKLIN PIERCE: The Ravens, ranked #16 in last week's Collegiate Baseball magazine Division II poll, are winners of nine of ten. Their 38 wins has shattered the program record of 32 set and reached in each of the previous three seasons. Franklin Pierce posted four-straight shutouts, pitching 40 shutout innings before Saint Anselm scored in the second inning of Thursday's 3-2 Franklin Pierce victory. Junior right-hander Shane Presutti (Southbridge, Mass.) extended posted his second-straight shutout at Saint Anselm on Tuesday and has set a school-record with 26-straight shutout innings entering his next start. Presutti's nine wins (9-0) is just one shy of the program's single-season record?SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT: In a 3-3 week, Southern outscored its opponents, 30-3, in its three wins, and was outscored, 16-11, in the losses, including a pair of one-run setbacks. In all 22 of the Owls' conference games, the starting pitcher has received the decision. 12 of the team's 14 homeruns have been hit away from home. Freshman SS Michael Diaz leads the team with a .387 batting average in conference games, 34 points above his season average. Left-handed hitters Jose Ortiz and Diaz are Southern's top two hitters against left-handed pitchers, batting .452 and .404, respectively?SAINT ANSELM: Saint Anselm stole a program-record 12 bases in game one of a doubleheader at Southern Connecticut on Saturday. The team has combined for 70 steals this season, the second-most in program history. Adam Hussey now holds the season record for stolen bases, having arrived safely 21 of 23 times this season; the previous record was 15 steals. The Saint Anselm pitching staff has combined for 19 complete games pitched so far on the season and are within one game of tying the season record (20)?BRYANT: The Bulldogs picked up three wins this week all coming via the shutout including a 3-0 victory over #28 UMass Lowell. The last four wins by Bryant have been shutouts holding the opponents to a combined 17 hits in that span? BENTLEY: When RHP Tim Cadran (Greenfield, Mass.) one-hit Saint Rose on Saturday, it marked the second straight year in which a Bentley freshman had come within one hit of a no-hitter. Last year, Chris Dupay (Scotia, N.Y.) tossed a one-hitter against Stonehill?SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: The Penmen established a new program-record for shutouts in a season (7) following SNHU's 3-0 win over Merrimack last week, eclipsing the old standard of six set during the 1994 season. SNHU stands one win shy of posting its first 20-win season since 1995. Freshman Jim Fuller (Marlboro, MA) has posted double-digit strikeouts in two-straight, and three of his last four, starts. He totaled 13 Ks, one shy of the school-record 14 he set earlier this year, during the 3-0 win over Merrimack on Thursday. He has totaled 58 strikeouts in 50 innings this season, and owns a team-best 1.26 ERA?ASSUMPTION: Assumption will finish their season this week with doubleheaders against Holy Cross, Southern Connecticut (Senior Day), and Bryant.
