Northeast-10 Weekly Notes:

The River Hawks previous milestone beginning was in the 1981 season when they opened to a 14-2 clip. UML has won 10 straight games, its longest win streak since the 2003 season, when it strung together 14 straight victories during the middle of the season. Junior Kevin Graham (Billerica, MA) tossed a one-hit gem in the 4-1 win over Assumption Sunday, scattering one earned run, no walks and nine strikeouts…STONEHILL: Stonehill, winners of five straight for the first time since last May, played its longest Northeast-10 contest ever over the course of two days over the weekend in a 4-3 16-inning triumph over American International. The two teams saw the nightcap of Saturday's doubleheader in Easton suspended at 3-3 after 10 frames, and the contest was finished Sunday in Springfield with six more innings. Senior P Billy Sittig (West Roxbury, Mass.), the reigning Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Year, fanned four in relief in Sunday's 16-inning marathon and moved to within three strikeouts of tying the Stonehill career mark for K's of 237 set by Mark Henry from 2000-03. Sunday's nightcap victory at AIC was the 225th career triumph for Skyhawk Head Coach Patrick Boen…SOUTHERN NEW HAMPHIRE: SNHU won seven of 10 games in Florida last week and at 11-3 the Penmen are off to their best start in program history. SNHU moved up to seventh in last week's NCBWA Northeast Region poll. Senior Casey O'Brien (Newmarket, NH) has won each of his first four starts and posted complete-game wins against Caldwell (4-1) and Saint Rose (4-1) last week. He has allowed just five total runs (3 earned) in his four starts and owns a 0.96 ERA. He fanned a career-high 12 batters in the win over Saint Rose, giving him exactly 100 strikeouts for his career. He becomes the eight player in program history to reach 100 Ks. Senior Tony Aucoin (Southbridge, MA) takes a 10-game hitting streak into this week's action. He is batting a team-high .442 and also led the team in doubles (6) and RBI (11). Senior Chad Lawrence (Manchester, NH) and freshman Skyler Bryd (Milford, NH) are also batting over .400. They picked up their first two conference wins by opening the season with a double-header sweep at Bentley…FRANKLIN PIERCE: The Ravens, ranked a program-best seventh in last week's Collegiate Baseball magazine poll, posted a 7-3 record during its spring break trip, which included six games against Florida teams either ranked nationally or regionally. Senior right-hander Tyler Cummings (South Paris, Maine) matched former teammate Keith Brouillard's program record for consecutive shutout innings as Cummings extended his streak to 17.2 innings before yielding a run in the first inning of Saturday's game one loss to Nova Southeastern. Junior Daniel Fournier (Worcester, Mass.) also made a run at the mark, falling just a third of an inning short when he gave up two runs in the first inning at #21 Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday. Senior Elliott Shea (Jaffrey, N.H.) matched the program's single-game record for stolen bases for the second time on the Ravens spring trip with three steals at No. 1 Tampa.
