Northeast-10 Player and Freshman of the Week

Nick Polsinelli, Saint Rose (Fr., 2B, Schenectady, N.Y.) - Batted .438 (7-for-16) throughout a three-day, five-game stretch in North Carolina. Also recorded three doubles, three runs, three RBI and slugged .625. Started a four-game hitting streak in an 8-0 setback versus Catawba by going 1-for-3 with a double. Went 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles and a run scored in an 11-4 loss to Wingate. Later that afternoon, went 2-for-4 in a 7-6 (10) defeat against Newberry. Closed out the weekend by going 1-for-3 with two runs and a walk against Tusculum.

Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Week

Jake Kozar, Saint Rose (So., SP, Norwalk, Conn.) - Had a 1.50 ERA after tossing six innings in a 7-6 loss in 10 innings to Newberry. Did not figure in the decision however, allowed one earned run on six hits and struck out one batter in his 2008 debut.
