Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Jeff Bercume, Merrimack (Sr., OF, Leicester, Mass.) – During a 2-2 start in Florida, led the team with a .545 average (6-for-11) with three doubles and drove in five runs.

Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Week

Kyle Vazquez, Franklin Pierce (Jr., SP, Berlin, Conn.) - Threw a shutout in the second game of a doubleheader at Adelphi. Over eight innings, gave up four hits, walked one and matched a career high with nine strikeouts.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Ben Waldrip, Saint Anselm (Fr., 1B, Medford, Mass.) - In three games versus Saint Leo and one versus Tampa University this past weekend, hit .600 going 6-for-10 at the plate and drove in six runs.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Cliff Hicks, Franklin Pierce (Gr., OF, Merrimack, N.H.) - Hit 3-for-8 in a split doubleheader at Adelphi. Went 1-for-4 with a single in the first game and was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles, stole two bases and scored the only run of the second game.

Derek Ingui, Franklin Pierce (So., OF, Sterling, Mass.) - Hit 3-for-8 in a split doubleheader at Adelphi. Went 1-for-4 with a single in the first game and went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and drove in the only run of the second game.

Kyle Davis, UMass Lowell (Jr., P, Rochester, N.H.) - Allowed just two hits over six scoreless innings in the 16-0 win over CW Post. Struck out three and walked just one.

Jared Notargiacomo, UMass Lowell (Jr., C, Newburyport, Mass.) - Went 1-for-2 with a team-high four RBI and two runs scored in the 16-0 win over CW Post.

Dylan Ellis, Merrimack (Jr., SP, Gloucester, Mass.) - Pitched five shutout innings, striking out two while earning the win in a 9-1 victory over Eckerd.

Chris Pinette, Merrimack (Fr., SP, Norwood, Mass.) - Allowed just one run and five hits in 7.1 innings, leading the team to a season-opening 4-1 win over St. Leo's.

Vinny Dammann, Pace (Jr., Mullica Hill, N.J.) - Had a .375 batting average with three hits in eight at-bats in a 2-1 week. Scored two runs and knocked in two RBI while drawing two walks in the series against Saint Thomas Aquinas.

Zach Dayton, Pace (Sr., SP, North Falmouth, Mass.) - Started against Saint Thomas Aquinas going six innings only letting up one earned run. Gave up only one hit in six innings while striking out two.

Andre Liscinsky, Pace (Sr., SS, Trumbull, Conn.) - Had a .417 batting average with five hits in 12 at-bats in a 2-1 week. Also finished with four runs scored and two RBI's.

Ben Gunn, Saint Anselm (Sr., SS, Vineyard Haven, Mass.) - Hit five-for-nine with five walks, five runs and three RBI this past weekend. Cracked a game-winning RBI double in the 11-10 win over Saint Leo.

Andrew Babb, Southern Connecticut (So., OF, Hopkinton, Mass.) - Went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in the win versus Dominican, 11-4.

Skyler Byrd, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., C, Milford, N.H.) - Batted .300 with a home run and two runs batted in a 1-2 week. Homered for his 100th career hit in Fridays's loss to Shepherd.

Steve Golbranson, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., SP, Abington, Mass.) - Allowed two earned runs in six innings en route to a win over Shepherd, while striking out four.

Weekly Notes:

SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: Senior Skyler Byrd homered for his 100th career hit in the first inning of Friday's season opener at Shepherd. First-year head coach Scott Loiseau earned his first career victory with Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rams.
