Northeast-10 Player of the Week
James Roche, Bentley (So., OF, Arlington, Mass.) - In a 5-0 week, hit .333 (6-18) and slugged .556 with five runs scored, four RBI, a double and a homer. Had five hits, four RBI and three runs scored in a three-game sweep of Merrimack.

Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Week
Chris Smith, New Haven (Jr., SP, Shelton, Conn.) - Pitched eight scoreless innings in his lone start of the week, recording seven strike outs and picking up the win against Stonehil. Allowed just four hits over eight innings.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Ryan Brockett, New Haven (Fr., OF, Guilford, Conn.) - Hit .556 (10-for-18) for the week including a 3-for-4 performance with two runs scored and three RBI against Assumption. Recorded at least one hit in each of the team's five games this past week. Stole one base and also had a triple. Tallied 10 put outs and one outfield assist with no errors.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Zach Jacques, Assumption (So., SP, Jefferson, Mass.) - In a 1-0 win over Southern New Hampshire, pitched 7.2 innings and allowed just four hits and struck out three and allowed just one walk. Southern New Hampshire hit just .154 in the game.

Brett Fistes, Bentley (Sr., SP, South Deerfield, Mass.) - Pitched a complete game seven-hitter in a 3-1 win at Merrimack. Walked one, struck out five and picked off two runners.

Mike Dowd, Franklin Pierce (Fr., C, East Bridgewater, Mass.) - Hit .467 (7-for-15) over four games in a 2-2 week. Clubbed two home runs and one double, drove in five runs, scored five runs, walked once, was hit by a pitch and stole a base. Posted a .933 slugging percentage and a .556 on-base percentage.

Pat Devlin, UMass Lowell (Fr., 2B, Tewksbury, Mass.) - Finished week with three straight multi-hit games. Hit .412 (7-for-17) with two runs and an RBI. Had one double and two stolen bases; Collected three hits at Stonehill and had two hits in each game of the doubleheader at Bentley.

Dylan Ellis, Merrimack (Jr., SP, Gloucester, Mass.) - Hurled a complete game, four-hit shutout, striking out eight, leading the team to a 1-0 win over Southern New Hampshire.

Michael Sciarretta, Pace (So., SP, Stamford, Conn.) - Tossed eight innings, allowing one earned run on three hits, while striking out six, earning the win over Saint Rose.

Ben Waldrip, Saint Anselm (Fr., P, Medford, Mass.) - At the plate, went four-for-nine in two games with three RBI and a double. On the mound, threw eight shutout innings allowing only four hits and striking out four in the 3-0 win over Adelphi.

Nick DeMidio, Saint Rose (Sr., SP, Scotia, N.Y.) - Alowed only an unearned run on five hits in seven innings of work to collect his first victory of the year in a 4-1 victory against visiting Pace. Fanned five batters, walked one and did not allow an extra-base hit along the way.

Grant Smith, Saint Rose (So., 3B, Waterford, Pa.) - Batted .500 throughout a 2-1 week. Was 4-for-8 at the plate with an RBI, scored a run, was hit twice and walked once for a .636 on-base percentage. Scored the winning run in a 3-2, 12-inning victory at Pace after leading off the frame with a single. Finished 2-for-3 with a walk. Went 2-for-2 in a 4-1 win over the Setters in game one and drove in a run in the nightcap.

Andrew Babb, Southern Connecticut (So., OF, Hopkinton, Mass.) - In four games this past week, went 8-for-15 from the plate including a run scored, four RBI and three walks.

Steve Golbranson, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., SP, Abington, Mass.) - Went 1-0 with one save and did not allow a run in 10.1 innings of work last week. Posted a complete-game victory in a win at Franklin Pierce, allowing six hits while striking out nine and walking just two. Pitched the final 1.1 innings in a 3-2 win over Merrimack and allowed one hit to earn a save.

Eric Pelletier, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., 3B, Beverly, Mass.) - Batted .583 (7-12) in four games during a 3-2 week. Went a combined 5-for-7 in two wins over Franklin Pierce.

Matt Olsen, Stonehill (Fr., SP, Winchester, Mass.) - In his second career start, tossed eight innings of three-hit ball in an eventual 4-0 win over New Haven. Didn't allow any runs and struck out three en route to his second win of the season. All three of the hits he allowed were singles.

Weekly Notes:

BENTLEY: Bentley leads the NCAA Division II East Region in victories after winning six in a row and 14 of its last 17. Freshman Matt Sherman (Longmeadow, Mass.) has already set a Bentley single season record for saves. He now has five after preserving wins in both ends of a doubleheader vs. UMass-Lowell. The Falcons’ current six-game winning streak is their longest since they won seven in a row in 2002. Senior Jarrod Marchesi (Peabody, Mass.) recorded his 17th career win, moving into second on Bentley’s all-time list.
