Player of the Week
Jeremy Terni, Southern Connecticut (Sr., 3B, Uncasville, CT) ? In a 4-0 week, hit .438 (7-16). Went 2-for-5 (3 RBI, R) against Post and was 1-for-3 (R) against UMass Lowell. He went a combined 4-for-8, drove in six runs and had a two-run homer in a NE-10 Conference DH sweep of Franklin Pierce.
Pitcher of the Week
Casey O'Brien, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., SP, Newmarket, NH) - Tossed a CG one-hit, shutout (3-0) over regionally-ranked NJIT. Struck out four, allowed just a second-inning double and retired the side in order in four of seven innings.
Freshmen of the Week
Tim Manton, UMass Lowell (Fr., OF, Swansea, MA) ? Hit .458 (11-24, 5 2B, 4 RBI, 2 R) in a 3-2 week. Went 3-for-5 (2 2B) in a loss at Tampa. Went 2-for-5 (2B, RBI) in a win over SW Minnesota. Went 4-for-6 (2 R, 2 RBI, 2 2B) in a win over NJIT. Went 1-for-3 (BB) in a loss to Southern Connecticut. Went 1-for-5 (RBI) in a win over Minnesota-Duluth.
Jeremiah St. Louis, Saint Rose (Fr., SP, Tupper Lake, NY) - Fanned 13 and allowed one run on three hits in seven innings in a win (7-2) over Minnesota-Duluth.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Steve Gath, Bentley (So., SS, Reading, MA) - In a four-game series at No. 22 Rollins, hit safely in all games, hitting .412 (7-17, 5 R, 7 RBI, 2 2B). Defensively, handled 16 chances with no errors. Had three hits (3 R, 5 RBI) in a 13-12 loss. Was 5-for-7 with runners on base, and 4-for-4 with runners in scoring position.
Elliott Shea, Franklin Pierce (Jr., OF, Jaffrey, NH) - Hit .413 (7-17, 5 R, 4 RBI, 2 2B, 3B, SB) in a 2-2 week. Was a combined 6-10 (.600, 4 R, 2B, 3B, 4 RBI) in a DH sweep of Molloy. Hit 3-5 (2B, 3B, 3 RBI) in the nightcap.
Bryan Borowski, Franklin Pierce (Sr., SP, Clarksburg, MA) - Yielded one hit in seven shutout innings of a 9-0 victory over Molloy. Carried a no-hitter into the fourth and fanned eight.
Mike Chambers, Franklin Pierce (Jr., 2B, Londonderry, NH) - Hit .467 (7-15, 3R, 2B, RBI, 2 SB) in a 2-2 week. Was 3-4 (3R, RBI, 2B) in a win over Molloy. Hit 2-3 (BB) in game one of a DH with Southern Connecticut.
Brad Laurin, UMass Lowell (Sr., SP, Dracut, MA) - Scattered five hits, two walks and no runs and struck out 10 in six innings in a 12-0 win over NJIT.
Nate Liebenow, UMass Lowell (Sr., OF, Hampton, NH) ? In a 3-2 week, hit .478 (11-23, 3 R, 2 RBI). Went 2-for-5 in a loss at No. 1 Tampa, 1-for-4 in a win over SW Minnesota, 4-for-5 (R, RBI) in a win over NJIT, 1-for-4 in a loss to Southern Connecticut, and 3-for-5 (RBI) in a win over Minnesota-Duluth.
Rick Sotiropoulos, Merrimack (So., OF, Ipswich, MA) - Went 4-for-7 (R) in a DH against West Chester. Collected three hits (SB) in the opener.
Jared Monti, Pace (Sr., SP, Hampton, NJ) - Pitched six shutout innings, scattered three hits, struck out five and walked one in a 4-0 win over Saint Anselm.
Ryan Fecteau, Saint Anselm (Sr., SP, Gilmanton, NH) ? Scattered four hits and struck out seven in eight innings in a 2-1 win over Pace.
David Stringham, Saint Rose (Sr., 1B, Schenectady, NY) - Had three multi-hit games in a 2-2 week. Had two hits and a RBI in a win over Minnesota Duluth. Added four hits (2B, RBI, BB) in a DH versus Wayne State.
Matt Hennessey, Southern Connecticut (Jr., SP, Wallingford, CT) - Gave up five hits and one earned run while striking out eight with three walks in a 6-2 win over Franklin Pierce.
Joe Vingo, Southern Connecticut (Jr., SP, Harrison, NY) - Pitched a CG, 10-3 win over Franklin Pierce, allowing eight hits, three earned runs, one walk and five strikeouts.
Chris Hart, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., OF, Waterville, ME) - Hit .450 (9-20, 4 RBI, 7 R) in a 3-3 week, had a hit in all six games and recorded three multiple-hit games. Went 1-for-3 (2 RBI) in a win over regionally ranked Caldwell.

Northeast-10: In this week?s (top 10) NCBWA Northeast Regional Poll, Saint Anselm is No. 1, Saint Rose is No. 2, Southern Connecticut is No. 3, Bryant is No. 4, Franklin Pierce is No. 5, Stonehill is No. 6, and UMass Lowell is No. 7. In last week?s NCBWA Division II poll (3/14), Bryant was 23rd, while Franklin Pierce and Saint Anselm were receiving votes ? UMass Lowell: UMass Lowell?s 6-3 clip in Florida was it's best southern trip finish since 1999 ? Bryant: In a 21-6 win over Philadelphia, Chris Brown crushed a pair of home runs and drove in a career-high six runs ? Southern New Hampshire: Senior Chris Hart (Waterville, ME) recorded a hit in all eight games in Florida and extended his hitting streak to 20 games dating back to the end of last season. Hart has totaled 150 hits over his four-year career and stands 12 hits shy of breaking the school-record for career hits (161) held by 1999 graduate Scott Bilodeau ? Bentley: Junior RF GJ Vicente (Salem, N.H.) only has three hits in 23 at bats thus far, but his on base percentage, thanks to eight walks and four HBP, is a lofty .441. Senior RHP Tim Bryant (Reading, Mass.) has not issued a walk in 16.2 innings this season, and dating back to last season, has no walks in his last 27.2 innings of work ? Franklin Pierce: The Ravens, which received their highest preseason ranking in program history at #23 in the Collegiate Baseball magazine coaches poll, sweep of Molloy on Saturday. Raven baserunners ran rampant with a combined 17 stolen bases, including a program-record 13 in the nightcap. Sophomore Vinny Pennell (Spencer, Mass.) stole five bags on the day, including a record-matching three in game two.
