Franklin Pierce: '#20/29 Franklin Pierce Captures Second-Straight Northeast-10 Title'
Third-seeded Franklin Pierce University, ranked 20th in this weeks National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and pingbaseball.com Division II polls and 29th in the Collegiate Baseball magazine rankings, opened a 6-0 lead after five innings and held off a late rally to collect a 6-4 victory over second-seeded Southern Connecticut State University, among teams receiving votes in the NCBWA poll, and claim its second-straight Northeast-10 Conference Baseball Championship.

The Northeast-10 Conference has announced the members of the 2008 Baseball All Academic Team. The Northeast-10 All Academic Teams are chosen by a vote of the Northeast-10 Sports Information Directors.

Northeast-10 Baseball Weekly Report For Contests Through April 20, 2008
Franklin Pierce's Derek Ingui hit .444 (12-for-27) with 14 RBI, 10 runs scored, four doubles and two home runs while slugging .815 in a 5-1-1 week. Ingui also had a .515 on-base percentage. He went 3-for-3 with an RBI in a tie with Pace, then went 4-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored versus American International.

Northeast-10 Baseball Weekly Report For Contests Through March 9, 2008
Franklin Pierce's Scott Savastano hit .364 (4-for-11) with three runs scored, a double, triple, two home runs and five RBI in a 2-1 week, while slugging 1.182 and posting a .462 on-base percentage. Savastano was a combined 3-for-7 with a triple, two home runs, three runs scored in a doubleheader sweep of Philadelphia.
