WORCESTER, Mass. --- Adam Fuller, the special teams coordinator
and linebacker coach for the University of Richmond the last three
seasons, has been named the head football coach at Assumption
College.
The announcement was made by Ted Paulauskas, Director of
Athletics.
Fuller replaces Cory Bailey, the Greyhounds’ head coach the
past four years, who resigned to pursue opportunities in the
business community. Fuller is the sixth head coach in the history
of football at the College and the fourth since the program was
elevated to intercollegiate varsity status in 1988.
“Adam represents a tremendous opportunity for the Assumption
College football program to continue the growth process started by
Coach Bailey and his staff,” said Paulauskas. “He
brings a wealth of experience in several areas, including
recruiting contacts, coaching experience at several positions and
the decision-making process to continue the improvement of our
defense.”
“I am extremely excited and feel privileged and honored for
the opportunity to lead the football program at Assumption
College,” said Fuller. “I hope in a short period of
time that we can produce a football team that the administration,
students and alumni of the College can be very proud to
support.”
A Tewksbury, MA native he played varsity football at Tewksbury
High.
As a collegian, Fuller was a four-year letterwinner at Sacred Heart

saw part-time duty as a sophomore (12-11-23 tackles). He played
against the Greyhounds four times in his career.
He earned his Bachelors in Criminal Justice with a minor in
Sociology in 1998.

University Saturday, August 30. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
He began his coaching career as a linebacker coach at WPI (1998)
and also coached at Wagner College (1999-04) under head coach
Walter Hamline as defensive line, linebacker and secondary aide

history, while his defense earned national top 10 finishes in both
2002 and 2003.
In addition, he earned a Masters in Secondary Education in 2001
from Wagner.
He joined the staff of Coach Dave Clawson at the University of
Richmond in 2005 as assistant secondary coach and assistant special

team ranking of No. 8 nationally.
