Assumption's Nick DiAntonio Named D2Football.com National Defensive Player of the Week

Worcester, Mass. - Assumption College senior linebacker Nick DiAntonio has been named as the D2Football.com National Defensive Player of the Week for his 21-tackle outing against Southern Connecticut State University.
DiAntonio was named as the Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
DiAntonio tied the Assumption single-game record for tackles with his career-best 21 stops which included nine solo tackles and 12 assisted stops. He currently leads the Northeast-10 and is second in the nation in tackles per game at 13.6 per contest. In addition, his 21-tackle performance is the second-highest single-game total in the country this season.
The Greyhounds return to action on Saturday, October 8th as the team travels to Pace University for a 1 p.m. start in Pleasantville, N.Y.
