Sports Talk Productions will capture the first ever Division II college football all-access documentary, which will follow the Assumption College Greyhounds as they chase a conference title.

On August 9th 2012, roughly one hundred student athletes will move onto campus at Assumption to start training for their upcoming football season. A camp that consumes nearly a month of their summer vacation, these players and coaches are making a sacrifice, but for what?

A Division II football program, located in the luxurious hills of Worcester, Mass, this Northeast-10 Conference team does not get exposure by ESPN or local sports channels such as NESN or Comcast Sports – but are rather viewed by some as players that were either too small, too weak, or too slow to play at the FCS or FBS level.

Their games don't attract thousands of fans like at Alabama or Michigan nor does the football program have the money to offer many scholarships to players to attend this small liberal arts college. So what drives this team then?

For the first time in Division II football history, a team has granted all-access rights to be followed for an entire season. This exclusive look within a program will reveal more than just what motivates a team, but the truth behind Division II football across the country.

From team meetings to the classroom, and morning workouts to games, this documentary will expose everything in between to show what it takes to play Division II college football at Assumption College, beyond their performance on the field.

Productions such as Hard Knocks, HBO's 24/7, and other sports documentaries that take viewers inside the lives and behind the scenes focus on the challenges that professional athletes face. This unique production digs deep to uncover how collegiate athletes are able to overcome the challenges faced on a day-to-day basis in order to continue to chase their dreams.

There's more to a person than just a player in pads that takes the field every weekend. Rather it's a student athlete who performs not only on the gridiron, but in the classroom and in their community as well.

Sports Talk Productions will take you inside the huddle, through the eyes of players and coaches to show why the bounding of one team for the same goal is more powerful than anything else in sports – even if the only people that believe that goal can be achieved are the ones in that locker room.

Cameras are set to roll starting August 9th and the release of the documentary is scheduled for early 2013. To learn more about this visit www.facebook.com/HoundsFootball.
