Stonehill jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Caitlin Gleason (New Boston, NH) converted a Kelly Latendresse (Sidney, ME) pass in the fifth minute. It was the second time this weekend that Gleason and Latendresse combined for the Skyhawks, as the pair was responsible for yesterdays game winner in Stonehills 1-0 semifinal victory over Bentley.

Senior F Taylor Kloss (Georgetown, MA) evened the game at 1-1 when she sent a penalty stroke high into the left corner of the net in the 19th minute. The teams would remain tied at one through the rest of regulation.

UML appeared to have won the match 20 seconds into overtime when junior F Sara Hohenberger (Windham, NH) scored off a breakaway pass from senior F Courtney Hill (Newburyport, MA). The goal, however, was disallowed by the officials since the scoreboard clock had not started.

The River Hawks controlled play early, but Stonehill battled back, due largely to the play of Boulis in the circle. The midfielder had four of Stonehills five shots on goal during the extra frame, finally converting a penalty corner with the help of Latendresse and Courtney Campbell (Reading, MA).

Junior Nicole Staiti (Barre, MA) made eight saves for UML, while Dani Ryder (Gloucester, MA) stopped nine shots to earn the win.

Boulis and teammate Latendresse represented the Skyhawks on the 2005 Northeast-10 All-Tournament Team. For the River Hawks, Hohenberger took All-Tournament honors. Rounding out the tournament team were Saint Michael's Ashley Webb, Southern Connecticut's Cori Krajewski, Merrimack's Laura Hansbury and Bentley's Jill Meinke.
