Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Heather Buda, Bentley (Jr., F, East Kingston, NH) - With a goal
and two assists, had a hand in all three goals in a 3-1 win over
Stonehill in the opening round of the NCAA tournament. Scored the
game's first goal and assisted on the next two as Bentley jumped
out to a 3-0 lead.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper and Freshman of the Week
Alyssa Sliney, Bentley (Fr., GK, Brewster, MA) - Made six saves in
Bentley's 3-1 win over Stonehill in the opening round of the NCAA
championships. Held the opponents to one goal or less for the 17th
time in her last 18 games.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Mary Rogers, Bentley (Sr., F, Watertown, MA) - Scored twice in
Bentley's 3-1 NCAA tournament win over Stonehill, the 84th and 85th
of her record-setting career.
Kelly Latendresse, Stonehill (Sr., MF, Sidney, ME) - Netted the
lone goal in a 3-1 setback to Bentley in the NCAA North Region
National Quarterfinal.
Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: Bentley will be making its fifth appearance in the
national semifinals since 2000 and will be looking to reach the
NCAA Division II national championship game for the sixth time
since 1999. Prior to Saturday's 3-1 win at Stonehill, the Falcons
had been outscored 6-0 in four previous appearances at W.B. Mason
Stadium. Heather Buda's game-winning goal Saturday was her sixth,
tying her for the conference lead.
