Northeast-10 Players of the Week
Laura Nimon, Stonehill (Jr., M, Gardiner, Maine) – Recorded
three goals, including two game-winners in a 2-0 week. In the 3-2
win over American International scored two goals, including the
game-winning goal in the second overtime. Then in the 1-0 overtime
win over Saint Michael's, added another sudden death goal.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Alyssa Sliney, Bentley (So., GK, Brewster, Mass.) - Extended her
scoreless streak to 232:23 with a pair of 3-0 shutouts, against
Saint Anselm and Merrimack. Had six saves in each contest.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Sammy Macy, UMass Lowell (Fr., F, Tewksbury, Mass.) - Had two goals
and one assist (5 points) in two games this past week. Netted two
goals in a win over Saint Michael's and picked up an assist in a
5-2 win at Franklin Pierce.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Heather Buda, Bentley (Sr., M, East Kingston, N.H.) - In a 2-0
week, had a goal and three assists. Scored in a 3-0 win at Saint
Anselm and assisted on each goal in a 3-0 win at Merrimack.
Krissy Lanzillo, Bentley (So., F, Weston, Mass.) - Had a total of
five points during two conference wins this past week. Had a goal
in a 3-0 win at Saint Anselm, and tallied a goal and assist in a
win at Merrimack.
Caitlyn Johnson, Bryant (So., M, Walpole, Mass.) - Tallied two
goals this past week. Scored a goal in the 3-1 win over Assumption
and added a goal in the loss to C.W. Post.
Liz Day, UMass Lowell (Fr., F, North Andover, Mass.) - Totaled four
points on one goal and two assists in a 2-0 week. Scored a goal and
added an assist in the win over Saint Michael’s and picked up
an assist in the 5-2 win at Franklin Pierce.
Danielle Dodier, UMass Lowell (Jr., GK, Kensington, N.H.) - Went
2-0 this past week with six saves and a 1.00 GAA, including a
shutout. Stopped all three shots faced to earn the shutout in the
win over Saint Michael's and recorded three saves in the win over
Franklin Pierce.
Jaci Moulton, UMass Lowell (So., F, Baldwinville, Mass.) - Totaled
seven points on three goals and one assist in a 2-0 week. Scored a
goal and added an assist in a 6-0 win over Saint Michael's and
recorded two goals in the 5-2 win at Franklin Pierce.
Michele Baca, Saint Anselm (Sr., D, Franklin, N.H.) – In a
2-1 week, recorded one goal and one assist. Scored the game-winning
goal against Franklin Pierce.
Sam Rowe, Saint Anselm (Jr., M, Chelmsford, Mass.) - In a 2-1 week,
registered two goals and one assist. Had a one-goal, one-assist
performance in a win over Franklin Pierce before registering the
game-winning goal in the final minutes in a 3-2 win over Southern
Connecticut.
Whitney Martin, Southern Connecticut (Jr., M, Harwinton, Conn.) -
Netted a goal in each game in a 1-1 week. Scored a goal in the 3-0
win over Merrimack and added a goal in the loss to Saint
Anselm.
Lauren Zarrella, Southern Connecticut (Fr., GK, Morris, Conn.)
– In a 1-1 week, had a 1.50 goal against average and a .700
save percentage. Stopped two shots to earn a shutout in a 3-0 win
against Merrimack. Made five saves in the setback to Saint
Anselm.
Dani Ryder, Stonehill (Sr., GK, Gloucester, Mass.) - Posted two
more victories last week, posted a 3-2, double-overtime win over
American International and a 1-0 overtime shutout versus Saint
Michael's. In the win over American International, made 10 saves
and had 13 saves against Saint Michael’s.
Weekly Notes:
STONEHILL: Aly Boulis (Lincoln, R.I.) scored her
13th goal of the season, which puts her in a three-way tie for the
second most ever in school history. Teammate Caitlin Gleason (New
Boston, N.H.) is the single season record holder with 17 in 2004.
She only trails Gleason by three goals for the school's all-time
goal mark.
