All Conference Teams
Announced
South Easton, Mass. - Jenn
Gray, a junior midfielder from Skowhegan, Maine, has been named the Northeast-10
Conference Field Hockey Player of the Year as voted on by the conference
coaches.
Gray helped lead Saint Michael's
to a share of the Northeast-10 regular season championship. Gray notched
season totals of two goals and six assists for 10 points. Saint Michael's
posted a 12-6 overall record including a 9-1 record in NE-10 play this
season.
Forward Maureen Burns of
Bryant College and Derry, N.H. has been named Freshman of the Year, senior
defender Betsy Turcot of Saint Michael's and Essex, Vt. has been named
Defensive Player of the Year and junior goalkeeper Patrice Mendoza of UMass
Lowell and Wilmington, Mass. has been named Goalkeeper of the Year.
Saint Michael's Head Coach Carla Hesler earned the Coach of the Year Honor.
The Northeast-10 All-Conference
First Team included Gray, Turcot and Mendoza along with Kristyn Bates and
Jenn Walker of Bentley College, Heidi Chirigotis, Danielle Dunham, Elizabeth
Gunn and Melissa Manseau of Bryant, and Kristin Garrity and Erin Kelly
of Assumption College.
The Northeast-10 All-Conference
Second Team included Burns, Carolyn Bolster, Kara Bouvier and Jenny Cahill
of Bentley, Jackie Driscoll, Martha Marsden, and Laura Petros of UMass
Lowell, Libby Hanna, Melissa Paratore and Cindy Pultz of Stonehill College,
Lindsey Stone of Assumption and Kari Surace of Saint Michael's.
