Northeast-10 Golfer of the Week

Adam Goinsalvos, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., Merrimack, NH) - Earned low medalist honors and led SNHU to the team championship at the UMass Lowell River Hawk Invitational. Carded a three-over-par 75 on both days and finished first by seven strokes.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Tom Thiesing, UMass Lowell (Fr., Grafton, MA) - Placed second among 30 golfers at the UMass Lowell River Hawk Invitational. Fired a 79 on the first day and followed with a 78 for day two for a total of 157. Placed in a tie with Southern New Hampshire's Sam Natti, but won the tiebreaker by virtue of a 38 on the back nine.

Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll:

Rob Younker, Assumption (Fr., Waltham, MA) - Shot a 160 (79-81) to finish fifth at the UMASS-Lowell Invitational.

Steve Balchunas, Franklin Pierce (Fr., Brockton, MA) ? Had a team-high two-day score of 159 (78-81) to finish fourth overall at the UMass Lowell Invitational.

Sam Natti, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., Lisbon, NH) - Tied for second at the UMass Lowell River Hawk Invitational. Carded a two-day total of 157 and shot a +6 78 during second-day action. Led SNHU to the team championship.

Northeast-10 Weekly Notes:

UMASS LOWELL: Freshman Tom Thiesing's 78-79--157 and second-place finish at the UMass Lowell River Hawk Invitational was UML's best individual two-day finish of the spring season thus far...All five members of UML's 'A' Team improved on their first day scores at last weekend's River Hawk Invitational.
