Northeast-10 Golfer of the Week
Dan McCarthy, Le Moyne (Jr., Syracuse, NY) - Carded a one-under par 143 (72-71) to win the Colgate Fall Invitational. The only golfer to finish under par, McCarthy followed up an even-par 72 Saturday with a one-under 71 on Sunday. He nipped Lehigh?s Max Muller by one stroke to capture medalist honors. McCarthy has finished atop the leaderboard in his last two collegiate tournaments. He tied for medalist honors at the NCAA Regional in the spring.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Chris Tarallo, Saint Anselm (Fr., Easton, MA) - Tarallo placed sixth individually at the Saint Lawrence College Invitational to lead Saint Anselm to a sixth place finish in the 120-team field. Tarallo shot a two-day total of 150 (75-75) to finish six strokes behind.
Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll:
Pat Hubley, Assumption (Jr., Auburn, MA) - Shot a 160 (+18), including a 73 in the second round, at the Spartan Invitational.
Jay Gargiulo, Bentley (Sr., Rexford, NY) - Tied for 11th overall, and second amongst Northeast-10 Conference participants, at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invitational with a 36-hole score of 156 (79-77).
Brenden Smith, Bryant (Sr., North Attleboro, MA) ? Tied for third overall and was the top Northeast-10 finisher at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invitational (77-76-153).
Mike Dominici, Pace (So., Norwalk, CT) ? Finished 15th at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invitational (83-76-159).
Mike Duffy, Saint Michael's (Sr., Yarmouthport, MA) - Led the Purple Knights with a 78 at a season-opening four-team meet at Vermont Technical College, helping SMC finish second.
