Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Jamie Bacon, Saint Rose (Sr., Port Perry, Ontario) - Fired a
career-low 71 to finish one-under-par to help Saint Rose take sixth
among 13 institutions at the Mike Bello Spring Invitational. In the
process, tied the low round for the tournament and coupled his
performance with an 80 on day one to finish with a two-day total of
151.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Chris Sova, Le Moyne (Fr., Oswego, N.Y.) – Helped lead Le
Moyne to a third place finish at the Mike Bello Invitational.
Finished 10th overall with a two-day score of 155 (80-75).
Weekly Honor Roll:
Steve Wolak, Assumption (So., N. Grosvendordale, Conn.) - Led
Assumption to a second place finish in the Tom Pecora Collegiate
Invite. Shot rounds of a 78 and a 76 on the day good for third
place individually.
Rob Younker, Assumption (Sr., Waltham, Mass.) - At the Lou Flumere
Mass Intercollegiate tournament at Stow Acres, shot a 79 on the day
good for a 7th place tie which helped Assumption to a third place
finish out of 20 teams. At the Tom Pecora Collegiate Invite, shot
an 83 and a 75 for a seventh place tie and helped Assumption to a
second place finish.
Mike Dempsey, Bentley (Jr., Norwell, Mass.) - Shot a four-over-par
76 to tie for third overall, and first amongst Northeast-10
participants, in the Lou Flumere Invitational at Stow Acres CC.
Alex Macielak, Bentley (So., Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) - Tied for
third overall, and first amongst Northeast-10 participants, in the
Lou Flumere Invitational with a four-over-par 76 at the Stow Acres
CC.
Brian Fleckles, Franklin Pierce (Fr., Sandwich, Mass.) – Led
the team with a six-over-par round of 78 to finish in a tie for
11th overall at the Lou Flumere Invitational. Also finished tied
for fourth among NE-10 competitors.
Andrew Lloyd, Le Moyne (So., Oswego, N.Y.) – Finished 12th
overall at the Mike Bello Invitational as Le Moyne finished in
third place as a team. Completed the two-day tournament with a
score of 158 (79-79).
Thomas Ayala, UMass Lowell (So., East Taunton, Mass.) - Placed
eighth individually at the Le Moyne College Mike Bello Invitational
this past weekend with a nine-over 153. Carded an 80 for the first
round but came back with a 73 for the second to help UMass Lowell
place tied for fourth in the 13-team field.
Patrick Bean, UMass Lowell (Jr., Fitchburg, Mass.) - Placed in a
tie for 16th at the Le Moyne College Mike Bello Invitational with a
159. Carded a 76 for the first round and an 83 for the second to
lead UMass Lowell to a share of fourth place in the 13-team
field.
Kent St. Charles, Pace (So., Wells, Maine) - Shot a two-day total
of 161 (83-78), finishing in a five-way tie for 18th place at the
Mike Bello Invitational.
