Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Garret Beyor, American International (So., Monson, Mass.) - Won the
individual title at the Goldey-Beacom Fall Invitational with a
two-over par 142, helping AIC to a third-place team finish. Shot a
one-under par 69 in round one and followed that with a three-over
73 on day-two.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Matt Horton, Saint Rose (Fr., Troy, N.Y.) - Carded a 153 in his
collegiate debut at the Tim Brown Invitational. Tied the low
individual round of the tournament for Saint Rose with an even-par
72 in final round action. Tied for 25th place overall among 63
competitors and helped the Golden Knights take 8th overall.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Kevin Daniels, American International (Fr., Anchorage, Alaska) -
Tied for 32nd overall at the Goldey-Beacom Fall Invitational with a
two-day total of 160. Shot an 82 in the first round and improved by
four stroke on day-two to shoot a 78.
Kent Graham, American International (So. Kamuela, Hawaii) - Tied
for seventh at the Goldey-Beacom Fall Invitational with a nine-over
par 149 (72-77).
Matt Herlihy, Pace (Sr., Croton, N.Y.) - Finished tied for 5th with
a two-day total of 148 (75-73) at the Goldey Beacom
Invitational.
Kent St. Charles, Pace (So., Wells, Maine) - Finished tied for 26th
with a two-day total of 158 (82-76) at the Goldey Beacom
Invitational.
Dylan McSparren, Saint Anselm (So., Portsmouth, R.I.) - Finished
with a pair of 78's for a total of 158, finishing in a tie for 25th
at the Saint Lawrence Invitational.
Chuck Sullivan, Saint Anselm (Fr., East Providence, R.I.) -
Finished the highest for the Hawks with rounds of 79 and 76 to come
in a tie for 23rd place at the Saint Lawrence Invitational for a
two-day total of 155.
Jamie Bacon, Saint Rose (Sr., Port Perry, Ontario) - Recorded a
two-day total of 150 to tie for 15th place at the Tim Brown
Invitational. Walked into the clubhouse with an even-par 72 in
final round action, tying the lowest round in school annals. Had an
opening round score of 78.
Weekly Notes:
SAINT ROSE: Senior Jamie Bacon and freshman Matt
Horton helped Saint Rose finish 8th among 12 competing institutions
at the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational that concluded Monday. Bacon and
Horton had the best rounds of the tournament for the Golden Knights
after each shooting an even-par 72 today, which ties the lowest
round in school annals.
