Northeast-10 Player of the Week

D.J. Lantz, Southern New Hampshire (So., New London, N.H.) - Finished second at the SNHU Penmen Invitational with a two day total of 146 (74-72).


Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Matt Horton, Saint Rose (Fr., Troy, N.Y.) - Captured the individual title at the Eagle Shootout that was hosted by Post University. Finished with a two-day total of 145 (76-69) to earn medalist honors by two strokes. Was the only player to finish a round below par (one-under) among 64 competitors at the event.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Garrett Beyor, American International (So., Monson, Mass.) - Tied for second at the Dominican Charger Challenge with a four-over par 148 after shooting two rounds of 74, leading American International to a fifth-place team finish.

Kent Graham, American International (So., Kamuela, Hawaii) - Tied for 15th with a 10-over par 154, shooting rounds of 75 and 79 at the Dominican Charger Challenge.

Tyler Johnson, Assumption (Sr., Holden, Mass.) - At the Eagle Post Shootout finished tied for 10th shooting a 76/77 combined score of 153 +10. Helping Assumption to a team finish of ninth place.

Robert Younker, Assumption (Jr., Waltham, Mass.) - At the Eagle Post Shootout finished tied for 13th shooting a 79/75 combined score of 154 +14, helping Assumption to a team finish of ninth place.

Brian Jasset, Bentley (Jr., Norwood, Mass.) - Tied for ninth in the Southern New Hampshire Penmen Invitational with 77-75-152

Peter Ledda, Bentley (Jr., Norwood, Mass.) - Tied for ninth in the Southern New Hampshire Penmen Invitational with 76-76-152.

Corey Dunn, Franklin Pierce (Sr., Port Jefferson, N.Y.) - Led the Ravens to a third place finish at the Saint Anselm Fall Classic as he posted a season-low matching score of 78 to place fourth overall among individuals at the event.

Patrick Bean, UMass Lowell (Jr., Fitchburg, Mass.) - Carded a two-round score of 149 to place third at the Southern New Hampshire Invitational. Shot a 77 for the first day and improved with a 72 to lead UMass Lowell to third among the six teams.

Anthony Gallardo, UMass Lowell (Sr., Methuen, Mass.) - Placed in a tie for sixth with a two-round score of 151 at the Southern New Hampshire Invitational. Shot rounds of 74 and 77 to help UMass Lowell to third place.

Kent St. Charles, Pace (So., Wells, Maine) - Finished in a three-way tie for fifth place at the Dominican Invitational with a two-day total of 150 (77-73) for a +6 for the tournament.

Mike Rattigan, Saint Anselm (Sr., Reading, Mass.) - Fired a 73 at Candia Woods Golf Course last week to win the Saint Anselm Fall Classic, beating out Franklin Pierce, Bentley, and Division I University of New Hampshire.

Chris Riley, Saint Anselm (Sr., Hingham, Mass.) - Fired a 76 at the Saint Anselm Fall Classic to come in a tie for third place.

Jeff Newell, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., Chicopee, Mass.) - Finished in a tie for sixth place at the SNHU Penmen Invitational with a two-day total of 151 (78-73).

Weekly Notes:

SAINT ROSE: Freshman Matt Horton (Troy, N.Y.) captured the individual title at the Eagle Shootout after firing a final round 69 to take medalist honors by two strokes. In the process, Horton became the only player in the nine-year history of the program to break 70 and etch his name in the record books with the lowest round in school annals.

SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: The Penmen posted their second-lowest single-day score (291) in the second round of the SNHU Penmen Invitational Monday. The score trails only the 281 SNHU registered in the second round of the 2002 Northeast-10 Championship.
