Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Anthony Gallardo, UMass Lowell (Sr., Methuen, Mass.) - Placed tied
for second in a field of 219 at the 74th Annual New England
Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship with a
two-round score of 147. Shot a 79 for the first round and returned
with a sterling 68 on Tuesday, thus falling in the tiebreaker for
medalist honors.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Matt Horton, Saint Rose (Fr., Troy, N.Y.) - Garnered medalist
honors for the second consecutive outing after firing a three-over
74 to help Saint Rose capture the team title at the Franklin Pierce
Fall Classic.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Kent Graham, American International (So, Kame, Hawaii) - Tied for
52nd with a +15 159 (78-81) at the NEIGA Championship.
Brandon Jones, American International (Fr., Pawley's Island, S.C.)
- Tied for 52nd with a +15 159 (83-76) at the NEIGA
Championship.
Steve Wolak, Assumption (So., N. Grosvenordale, Conn.) - At the
NEIGA Championship led Assumption to a 21st place finish. Shot a
combined score of 157 improving on his first round of 83 by nine
strokes to shoot a 74 on the second day of competition. Finished 35
individually.
Brian Jasset, Bentley (Jr., Norwood, Mass.) - Tied for fourth
amongst Division II golfers at the New Englands with 80-77-157.
Overall, tied for 35th place.
Brendan Livingston, UMass Lowell (Jr., Westford, Mass.) - Placed in
a tie for 46th at the NEIGA Championship with a two-round score of
158 (81-77).
Jimmy Henebry, Saint Anselm (Jr., Hampton Falls, N.H.) - Finished
in a tie for 63rd with identical rounds of 80 to shoot a 160 at the
NEIGA's.
Joe Young, Saint Anselm (Fr., Westwood, Mass.) - Led the Hawks at
the NEIGA's with rounds of 78 and 81 for a 159 total and a tie for
52nd place.
John Goodwin, Saint Michael's (Fr., Wolfeboro, N.H.) - At the NEIGA
Championship, shot an opening-round 87 and a second-round 79 for a
two-day total of 166.
D.J. Lantz, Southern New Hampshire (So., New London, N.H.) -
Finished second amongst Division II players and tied for 21st
overall at the NEIGA Championship with a two-day total of 154. Led
the Penmen to a second place finish among Division II schools.
