WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University incoming freshman Charles Anthony, a golfer from Swansea, is featured in the popular “Faces in the Crowd” section of the August 20 edition of Sports Illustrated, which is currently available on newsstands.

Anthony, a product of Providence’s La Salle Academy, earned the honor with an amazing performance in the Rhode Island Junior PGA tournament late last month.

Playing at the Montaup Country Club in Portsmouth, R.I., Anthony was two strokes back of the leader with one hole to play, the 300-yard, par-four 18th. Using his driver, he not only drove the green, but buried the ball in the cup for a tournament-winning hole-in-one.

Anthony was the number one golfer for La Salle this past spring, helping the Rams to a 14-0 record and wins in both the McCampbell Cup and the 30th annual Challenge Cup.
