Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Derek Evjenth, Saint Anselm (Jr., F, Saratoga, CA) - Scored a hat trick against Williams.

Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Derek Jackson, Saint Michael's (Jr., G, Clinton, NY) - Stopped 38 shots against Trinity. Made 27 saves against Wesleyan, shutting out the opponent over the first 40 minutes for the second game in a row.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Brendan O'Brien, Stonehill (Fr., F, Braintree, MA) - Recorded three assists in a 5-0 victory over Worcester State.

Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll:

Craig Moreton, Assumption (Fr., F, Lynnfield, MA) - Registered four points (2 G, 2 A) last week. Had a goal and an assist in a win at Framingham State and at Plymouth State.

Mark Gibbons, Franklin Pierce (Sr., D, Quincy, MA) - Netted a pair of goals in a loss to Nichols College.

Jason Rafuse, Saint Anselm (Jr., G, Nepean, Ontario) - Made 49 saves in two games. After making 26 saves in a win over Wesleyan, held Middlebury scoreless for over 43 minutes, making 23 saves in the loss.

Alex Watts, Saint Michael's (Sr., F, Cheshire, CT) - Scored a pair of goals against Trinity, including the game winner.

Matt Curran, Stonehill (So., F, Scarborough, ME) - Netted a pair of goals and added an assist for a three-point effort in a 5-0 victory over Worcester State.

Josh Green, Stonehill (Jr., G, Mendon, MA) - Stopped all 22 shots to record first collegiate shutout in a 5-0 triumph over Worcester State.

Northeast-10 Weekly Notes:

SAINT ANSELM: Junior Josh Hechter became the 18th player in Saint Anselm history to tally 100 career points. His 100th point came as an assist in the Hawks' first-period goal against No. 1 Middlebury. Saint Anselm has not had a 100-point scorer since Mike Bianculli tallied 124 from 1994-98. Junior Derek Evjenth's hat trick on Friday marked the first three-goal game for a Hawk since John Cronin's hat trick on February 12, 2005, against St. Michael's. Saturday marked the end of sophomore Chris O'Brien's 10-game point-scoring streak; until Saturday, the last game O'Brien played in and did not score a point was February 5, 2005 SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: The Penmen have lost five-straight games, their longest losing streak since January of 2004. Freshman Dave Carroll (Arlington, MA) scored his third goal of the year in last week's loss to Plymouth State and currently leads all NE-10 freshmen defensemen in points (3-8--11), and ranks third overall in scoring among NE-10 blueliners. Junior Kyle Bousquet (East Longmeadow, MA) totaled a goal and an assist last week and ranks second among the NE-10 leaders in defensemen scoring (4-8--12) STONEHILL: Stonehill returned to action after a six-week hiatus to claim its second victory of the year over Worcester State on Saturday night, as the Skyhawks also bested the Lancers in November at the Rhode Island Thanksgiving Classic. Freshman F Brendan O'Brien (Braintree, MA) has recorded six multiple-point games in his first 12 collegiate outings and also has three three assist games, including three helpers in Saturday's triumph over Worcester State. Junior G Josh Green (Mendon, MA) picked up his first collegiate shutout with 22 stops against Worcester State, as the Skyhawks blanked the Lancers for the second time in the last six meetings between the schools. Stonehill has won three straight and four of its last five for the first time in two years SAINT MICHAEL'S: The Purple Knights went 1-0-1 over the weekend, pulling off an upset victory over Trinity College on Friday, before skating to a 1-1 tie with Wesleyan University on Saturday. The 3-2 win over the Bantams was the team's first against Trinity in over 20 years, dating back to its 6-5 overtime victory on January 25, 1985. With an assist in each contest, Jared Silver extended his points streak to nine games, and has contributed at least one point in all but two of the team's games this season. With 67 career helpers, the junior forward recently moved past Josh Ralph into the seventh on the program's all-time list, and leads Northeast-10 in overall scoring and in assists ASSUMPTION: Senior forward Bobby Fanciullo (Medford, MA/Arlington Catholic) has currently registered a point in four straight games (G, 5 A) and five of his last six games overall (2 G, 6 A). Freshman forward Frank Bova (Princeton, MA/Wachusett) has recorded a point in four of his last five games (2 goals, 2 assists). Assumption finished a four-game road trip (2-2) at Plymouth State last Saturday. They will play their first home in three weeks on Saturday against Franklin Pierce.
