Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Matt Curran, Stonehill (So., F, Scarborough, ME) - Netted the game-winner with a shorthanded tally in a season-opening 5-4 victory at Saint Michael's.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
David Pinkham, Assumption (Fr., G, Malden, MA) - Recorded 71 saves in two games in a 1-1 week. Made 40 saves in first career collegiate start at Fitchburg State and 31 saves versus Suffolk in the third place game of the UBS Paine Webber Classic.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Brendan O'Brien, Stonehill (Fr., F, Braintree, MA) - Recorded assists on four of five goals in collegiate debut, a 5-4 season-opening triumph at Saint Michael's.
Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll:
Bobby Fanciullo, Assumption (Sr., F, Medford, MA) - Had five points (2 G, 3 A) in a 1-1 week. Scored a power play goal at Fitchburg State and then scored the game-winning goal while adding three assists versus Suffolk in the third place game of the UBS Paine Webber Classic.
Jeff Ilvonen, Assumption (Sr., F, Auburn, MA) - Tied a UBS Paine Webber Classic tournament record by tallying five points in the third place game versus Suffolk as netted a hat-trick and added two assists.
Jeff Kasper, Franklin Pierce (Fr., F, South Boston, MA) - Notched first two collegiate goal in a 4-4 tie versus Southern New Hampshire. In a 5-4 loss to Framingham State, netted two more goals.
Tim Dancey, Saint Michael's (So., F, Anaheim, CA) - Tallied a pair of even-strength goals and added an assist in the season-opener versus Stonehill.
Dominic DiMarzo, Southern New Hampshire (So., F, East Boston, MA) - Scored two goals in a 1-0-1 week. Netted both goals, including the game-winner just 11 seconds into OT, in a 5-4 win over Johnson & Wales.
Brian Lewis, Stonehill (Sr., F, Cohasset, MA) - Scored pair of goals in the season-opening 5-4 victory at Saint Michael's.
Anthony Zanetti, Stonehill (So., F, Ludlow, MA) - Netted a pair of goals for a season-opening 5-4 win at Saint Michael's.

STONEHILL: In claiming a win in its season opener for the second straight year, Stonehill collected its first victory at Saint Michael's since November 18, 2000 and its first Northeast-10 triumph since February 2004. Freshman F Brendan O'Brien (Braintree, MA) matched the second highest single-game assist total in school history with four helpers on five Skyhawk goals in his collegiate debut at Saint Michael's...Stonehill and Saint Michael's combined for eight goals and 44 shots in the first 40 minutes of play and just one tally and five shots combined in the final period of action, as sophomore F Matt Curran (Scarborough, ME) picked up his first collegiate game-winner SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: The Penmen rallied from a 3-1 deficit in a season-opening 4-4 OT tie with Franklin Pierce and rallied from a 4-1 deficit in a 5-4 overtime win over Johnson & Wales. The Penmen scored three powerplay goals in a span of 2:13 with less than five minutes to play in the win over JWU. Sophomore transfer Dominic DiMarzo (East Boston, MA/UMass Boston) scored the game-winner just 11 seconds into the extra period. Senior Chris White (Naperville, IL) scored two goals during the week and has totaled 81 points in 81 career games ASSUMPTION: Assumption will kick-off its 2005-06 Northeast-10 schedule with a Wednesday night affair at Franklin Pierce and will host three of the five conference games at Buffone Rink, starting with Saint Michael's College on November 22nd. Assumption participated in the annual UBS Paine Webber Classic, featuring Suffolk, Worcester State, and host Fitchburg State, last weekend. The Ice dogs were 3-for-3 on the power play versus Suffolk last Saturday. They are 7-for-15 (46.7%) on the power play this season and have killed off 17-of-20 (85%) penalties to dateSAINT MICHAEL'S: Head Coach Lou DiMasi was denied his 250th career victory in Saturday's 5-4 season-opening loss to Stonehill. The Purple Knights did record a victory over the weekend however, defeating Carleton University in an exhibition on Sunday, 10-3.
