Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Brett Smith, Saint Anselm (Jr., D, Hudson, MA) - Tallied seven points in two games, scoring two goals and adding five assists. Four assists came against Assumption.
Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Jason Rafuse, Saint Anselm (Jr., G, Nepean, Ontario) - Made 45 saves in two games, including 24 in a win over No. 11 NEC.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Ryan Mero, Saint Michael's (Fr., F, Peekskill, NY) - Scored a goal and contributed three assists in the win over Franklin Pierce.
Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll:
Jim Trahon, Assumption (So., F, Needham, MA) - Recorded three points (2 G, 1 A) in three games. Had an assist at Saint Anselm and scored goals versus Trinity and Stonehill.
Chris O'Brien, Saint Anselm (Jr., F, Watertown, MA) - Notched five points in two games on one goal and four assists. Netted the game winner against No. 11 NEC.
Jared Silver, Saint Michael's (Jr., F, Montreal, Quebec) - Tallied a single game career high in points, scoring two shorthanded goals, including the game winner, and also contributed three assists.
Martin Stehl, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., G, Goldbar, WA) - Stopped 16-of-17 shots in the win over Stonehill.
Chris White, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., F, Naperville, IL) - Totaled a goal and an assist in a league win over Stonehill. Netted the game-winning goal and assisted on the game-tying goal.
Mike Devine, Stonehill (Fr., D, South Boston, MA) - Netted pair of goals, including game-winner with three seconds remaining, in the 4-3 victory at Assumption.
Northeast-10 Weekly Notes:
SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: The Penmen extend their home unbeaten streak to 10 games (8-0-2) following a 6-1 victory over Stonehill Wednesday. SNHU outscored the Skyhawks 6-0 and outshot the Skyhawks 30-10 over the final two periods. Senior GK Martin Stehl (Goldbar, WA) has limited the opposition to one goal of less in three-straight and four of his last five starts. He leads the league in goals against average (1.48), save percentage (.946) and winning percentage (4-0-1). Senior Chris White (Naperville, IL) registered his 50th career assist during the win over StonehillSAINT MICHAEL'S: On Tuesday, the Purple Knights were defeated by Norwich University by a final score of 9-3. With the loss, Saint Michael's is now 0-21 in the all-time series with their in-state rival. The team then defeated Franklin Pierce College on Saturday, putting an end to a three game winless skid. Junior Jared Silver (Montreal, Quebec) added to his team scoring lead, tallying two shorthanded goals, including the game winner, and also assisted on three others. With a goal on Saturday, senior co-captain Alex Watts (Cheshire, CT) has earned a point in all but one of the team's eight games this season, and currently stands just two points shy of 100 for his careerSTONEHILL: The kids are alright for Stonehill, as the freshman class accounted for eight of the Skyhawks' nine points in Saturday's non-league victory at Assumption. The Class of 2009 has amassed nearly one third of Stonehill's point total to date, collecting 25 of the Skyhawks' 77 points through 10 games.
