Northeast-10 Player and Freshman of the Week

Brendan O'Brien, Stonehill (Fr., F, Braintree, MA) - Netted a goal and three assists for four points in a 6-2 victory over Franklin Pierce to earn first star of the game honors.

Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Martin Stehl, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., G, Gold Bar, WA) - Stopped all 29 shots faced and recorded a shutout in a non-league win over Castleton State.

Joseph Fields, Franklin Pierce (So., F, Landsdale, PA) - Scored a goal in a loss to Stonehill.

Justin Hurley, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., D, Peabody, MA) - Totaled a goal and an assist in the 5-0 non-league win over Castleton State.

Brian Dudley, Stonehill (Sr., F, Waltham, MA) - Netted a goal and an assist in a 6-2 victory over Franklin Pierce.

Josh Green, Stonehill (Jr., G, Mendon, MA) - Stopped 27-of-29 shots in a 6-2 victory over Franklin Pierce.

Brian Lewis, Stonehill (Sr., F, Cohasset, MA) - Scored a goal and added an assist in a 6-2 victory over Franklin Pierce.

SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: The Penmen will take an 11-game (9-0-2) home unbeaten streak into the New Year. Southern New Hampshire extended their streak following a 5-0 non-league win over Castleton State. Senior GK Martin Stehl (Gold Bar, WA) recorded his second shutout of the season (and second career shutout) in the win. He has now limited the opposition to one goal of less in four-straight, and five of his last six, starts. He leads the league in goals against average (1.25), save percentage (.955) and winning percentage (5-0-1)STONEHILL: Nearly half of freshman F Brendan O'Brien's (Braintree, MA) first 11 games in a Stonehill uniform have resulted in multiple-point performance, including a four-point effort in Monday's win over Franklin Pierce. O'Brien, senior F Brian Dudley (Waltham, MA) and sophomore F Anthony Zanetti (Ludlow, MA) have combined for 44 percent of the Skyhawks' total offense to date, amassing 42 of Stonehill's 95 points. Junior G Josh Green (Mendon, MA) has emerged out of the Skyhawk goalie rotation with the best numbers, posting a 2-0 mark with a 3.31 GAA and a .900 saves percentage. Stonehill had rotated all three of its goalies for at least one period of play in its first seven contests. The Skyhawks will be idle for the next six weeks, as Stonehill returns to action on January 21st in hosting Worcester State.
