Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Steve Dagostino, Saint Rose (Sr., G, Schenectady, N.Y.) – Averaged 20 points, 6.5 assists, 4.5 steals and 3.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week. Also shot 94.4 percent (17-for-18) from the foul line. In a 73-55 victory over Southern New Hampshire, scored 22 points to go with four assists and four steals. In an 82-75 win over Assumption, tossed in 18 points behind an 11-for-12 effort from the free throw line. Also dished out nine assists and came up with five steals.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Thomas Baudinet, Saint Anselm (Fr., G, Watertown, Conn.) - In the team's lone game of the week, registered 22 points in an 84-81 win over Franklin Pierce. Knocked down a trio of three-pointers, had four rebounds, two assists and two steals. After the Ravens rallied to tie the game in the final minutes, gave the Hawks the lead for good with a jumper with just 1:10 left on the clock.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Corey Diethorn, Assumption (Sr., C, Pittsburgh, Pa.) - In the team’s lone game of the week, had 21 points (9-16 FG), 10 rebounds, and two blocks at Saint Rose.

Jason Westrol, Bentley (So., G, Brielle, N.J.) – In a 2-0 week, averaged 17 points, 7.5 rebounds, two steals and 1.5 assists in wins over Saint Michael's and Stonehill. Shot 70 percent overall, made two of three trifectas and was four-of-four at the foul line. Had a double-double (17 points, 10 rebounds) versus Saint Michael's and also scored 17 at Stonehill.

Chris Birrell, Bryant (So., G, Scituate, R.I.) - Averaged 14 points and 7.5 assists per game in a 2-0 week. Had 17 points and eight assists in a win at Franklin Pierce and followed with 12 and seven assists in a win over American International. Had 15 assists and hit eight three's for the week.

Timothy Munch, Franklin Pierce (Jr., G, Blauvelt, N.Y.) - Averaged 17.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals in two games last week, while shooting 44.1-percent (15-of-34) from the field. Posted 22 points (9-18 FG, 3-7 3's) four rebounds and three assists at Saint Anselm. Collected 13 points, nine rebounds, four steals and two assists against Bryant.

Jason Holmes, Le Moyne (So., G, Mamaroneck, N.Y.) - In two games this past week, scored 24.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. In win over Pace, poured in 25 points, including the game winner as time expired. Followed with 24 points in a loss to UMass Lowell. Connected on 17-of-30 from the field and 7-of-12 from beyond the arc.

Kevin Carr, UMass Lowell (So., G, Lancaster, Ohio) - Posted averages of 17.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting .520 (13-25) from the floor and .529 (9-17) from 3-point range in a 1-1 week. Highlighted the week with 26 points, shooting 10-of-16 from the field and 6-of-9 from long range, in a 74-65 loss at Stonehill.

Darren Duncan, Merrimack (So., G, Briarwood, N.Y.) - Posted a double-double (14 points, 11 assists) and added five steals in a 85-74 win over Southern Connecticut. Was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line.

Gibraltar White, Pace (Sr., G, Gautier, Miss.) - Averaged 17.5 points, four boards, three assists and two steals in two games. Against Le Moyne, tallied 19 points, four assists, two boards and two steals. Against Southern New Hampshire, scored 16 points, while chipping in six boards, two assists and two steals.

Ryan Williams, Pace (Sr., G, Centreville, Va.) - Averaged 18 points, 2.5 rebounds and three assists in two games. Against Le Moyne, shot 8-for-16 from the field and 5-for-11 from three, finishing with 21 points, while dishing out five assists. Against Southern New Hampshire, tallied 15 points and five rebounds.

Chris Vetrano, Saint Anselm (Sr., G, Andover, Mass.) - Scored 23 points in a win over Franklin Pierce. Shot 7-of-12 from the field, 4-of-7 from three-point land, was 5-for-7 at the line and had four rebound.

Brian Monahan, Saint Michael's (Sr., F, Kinderhook, N.Y.) – In a 1-0 week, recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 boards in a 58-54 win over Southern Connecticut. Also dished out two assists.

Evan Lane, Saint Rose (Jr., F, Sharon Springs, N.Y.) - Averaged a double-double with 14 points and 13.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week. Also registered 3.5 blocks per-game and shot 50.0 percent (12-for-24) from the field. In a victory over Southern New Hampshire, finished with 10 points, 14 boards and five blocks. Registered a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds in an 82-75 win against Assumption.

Sam Carey, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., C, Manchester, N.H.) - Averaged 16 points and 10.5 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week. Totaled 23 points and 16 rebounds in a win over Pace.

Devon Sullivan, Southern Connecticut (Sr., F, Jamaica, N.Y.) - Averaged 15.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in two games this past week. Recorded 20 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots at Merrimack. Scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds at Saint Michael's.

A.J. Rudowitz, Stonehill (So., F, Monroe Township, N.J.) - Averaged 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week. In a win over UMass Lowell, had 15 points, five rebounds, three assist and two steals without committing a turnover. In the loss to Bentley, was the lone Skyhawk in double figures with 12 points and added eight rebounds. For the week shot 53 percent and was 10-of-11 free throws.


Weekly Notes:

BENTLEY: Following its win over Stonehill Saturday, has now won a best-in-the-nation (all divisions) 49 consecutive regular season games. The Falcons, if they remain number one in tomorrow's rankings, will be just the fourth team in Division II history to top the poll ten straight weeks. Bentley's home winning streak of 29 games is the longest current streak in Division II. The Falcons, in Tuesday's win over St. Michael’s, didn't allow a single free throw attempt.
