Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Corey Diethorn, Assumption (Sr., C, Pittsburgh, Pa.) - Averaged 17 points and 8.7 rebounds while shooting 66.7 percent (22-33 FG) from the floor in a 2-1 weekend at the Disney Classic. Had 12 points (6-8 FG), two rebounds, and two blocks in a season-opening win over Philadelphia. Recorded a double-double with 19 points (8-12 FG), 15 rebounds, and three blocks in a victory over North Alabama. Scored 20 points (8-13 FG), nine rebounds, and had two assists versus Winona State. Named to the All-Tournament team for the Group Teamwork bracket.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Vince Rosario, Stonehill (Fr., G, Perth Amboy, N.J.) – Averaged 11.7 points in three games at the Disney Tipoff Classic. Scored 17 points off the bench in just 20 minutes while shooting 5-of-7 three point tries. In the triple overtime loss to Columbus State, had 15 points and dropped in three more shots from behind the arc.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Courtland Bluford, Assumption (So., G, Ft. Washington, Md.) - Averaged nine points, five assists, and three steals in a 2-1 weekend at the Disney Classic. Had eight points, three assists, and three steals in a season-opening win over Philadelphia. Scored 10 points (4-6 FG) with seven assists and three steals in a victory over North Alabama. Had nine points (4-8 FG), five assists, and three steals versus Winona State.

Mike Foti, Assumption (Sr., F, Franklin, Mass.) - Averaged 11 points while shooting 92.3 percent (12-13 FT) from the foul line in a 2-1 weekend at the Disney Classic. Scored 17 points (9-9 FT) with four rebounds and two assists in a victory over North Alabama.

Pat Shea, Assumption (Jr., G, Salem, Mass.) - Averaged 10 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in a 2-1 weekend at the Disney Classic. Had 16 points (6-7 FG, 3-3 3FG), eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals in a season-opening win over Philadelphia. Recorded 10 rebounds, six points, and four assists in a victory over North Alabama. Had eight points, eight rebounds, and six assists versus Winona State.

Greg Twomey, Assumption (Sr., G, Groton, Mass.) - Averaged 11.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in a 2-1 weekend at the Disney Classic. Had 13 points (5-7 FG), seven rebounds, and four assists in a season-opening win over Philadelphia. Scored 14 points (4-7 FG, 2-2 3FG, 4-4 FT), three assists, and two steals in a victory over North Alabama.

A.J. Rudowitz, Stonehill (So., F, Monroe Township, N.J.) - Recorded two double-doubles in three games at the season-opening Disney Classic. In the win over Barry, had 12 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals. In the loss to Grand Valley State, scored 16 points on six-for-eight shooting. Then in the triple overtime loss to Columbus State, notched a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Nick Smith, Stonehill (Jr., F, Colonia, N.J.) - Averaged 21.7 points per game at the Disney Tipoff Classic. Shot 51 percent from the floor, including a 7-for-7 from the field, 4-for-4 from the line, 3-for-3 from behind the arc, 21 point showing in the 76-72 loss to Grand Valley State. In the 114-113 triple overtime loss to Columbus State, had 28 points and eight rebounds.
