The College of Saint Rose, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet Albany Province, is accredited fully by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York, the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, the Educational Standards Board of the National Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs, the National Association of Schools of Music, the Council on Social Work Education, and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

The College is dynamic and comprehensive with more than 5,300 students in which teaching is the first priority. Located in the heart of Albany, New York State’s Capital City, the College is a private, independent, coeducational college.

Through a strong liberal education curriculum and progressive academic programs, the College serves traditional students and working professionals. We offer 60 undergraduate programs and 43 graduate programs.

Saint Rose is also one of 16 colleges belonging to the Hudson Mohawk Association of Colleges and Universities and one of six colleges in the United States sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondelet.
