Northeast-10 Player and Freshman of the Week

Chris Elia, Merrimack (Fr., A, East Lyme, CT) - Totaled five goals, four assists in a 2-0 week against nationally ranked opponents. Notched three goals and an assist in a 7-6 OT win over No. 8 Bryant, including the game-winner 52 seconds into overtime. He added two goals and three assists in an 8-7 OT win over No. 10 Bentley.

Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Eric Tompkins, Merrimack (Fr., G, Newington, CT) - Helped Merrimack win two wins against nationally ranked teams in overtime last week. He stopped 26 shots for a .667 save percentage and posted a stingy 6.31 goals against average. He stopped 10 shots in the 8-7 overtime win over No. 10 Bentley, then made 16 saves in a 7-6 overtime win over No. 8 Bryant.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Bryan Parks, Assumption (So., M, Somers, CT) - Notched 12 points (11 G, 1 A) in 1-3 week. Tallied three goals and an assist against Franklin Pierce and four goals at Southampton. Scored two goals each at Southern N.H. and Dowling.

Bob Catala, Bentley (So., A, Cortlandt Manor, NY) - Led Bentley in scoring with nine points (4 G, 5 A) in a 2-1 week. Scored a game high seven points in a win over AIC.

Craig Buckhout, Bryant (Fr., M, South Salem, NY) - Scored five goals in a 0-2 week. He scored two goals against Merrimack and three goals against C.W. Post.

Mike McDonald, Le Moyne (Fr., A, Latham, NY) - In a 2-0 week, scored five goals and assisted on two. Notched four goals and two assists in a win at Pace.

Jared Corcoran, Le Moyne (Jr., G, Concord, NH) - In a 2-0 week, posted a 3.77 goals against average and .632 save percentage. Corcoran made six saves in each game, wins over Saint Anselm and Pace.

Charlie Rizzuto, Pace (Sr., M, Holbrook, NY) - In a 1-2 week, totaled 18 points (6 G, 12 A). Against AIC, tied a program game record with nine assists, adding three goals. Against Le Moyne, notched three goals and an assist. Against Saint Anselm, had two assists.

Ryan Gregory, Pace (Fr., A, Bethpage, NY) - In a 1-2 week, notched 15 points (13 G, 2 A). Against AIC, had eight goals, two assists. Scored twice against Le Moyne and added a hat trick against Saint Anselm.

Steve Trocki, Saint Anselm (Fr., M, Braintree, MA) - In a 2-1 week, scored seven goals and had two assists including one game-winner.

Brandon Kobelt, Saint Michael's (Jr., A, Rye, NY) - Tallied a team-best 18 points (8 G, 10 A) in a 3-0 week. Notched three goals and season-high five assists versus AIC. Notched two goals and team-best three assists at Franklin Pierce. Had a game best five points (3 G, 2 A) against Southern N.H.

Jeff Hannon, Saint Michael's (Fr., G, Wilbraham, MA) - Stopped 14 of 23 shots (.609 save percentage), earning two wins in a 3-0 week. Turned aside four of five shots at Franklin Pierce, and 10 of 18 against Southern N.H.

Brian Flaherty, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., A, West Springfield, MA) - Totaled a team-high five goals and eight points in a 1-1 week. Registered four goals, three assists in a win over Assumption.

Northeast-10: In this week’s USILA Division II Poll, Le Moyne remains No. 1, Merrimack debuts at No. 9, Bryant moves to No. 10, and both Saint Michael’s and Bentley are receiving votes … Merrimack: Merrimack beat two nationally ranked teams in overtime last week, topping Bentley, 8-7 and Bryant, 7-6. The Warriors improved to 4-1 in overtime games this season, and all five of the team's wins have been by one goal. Senior transfer Nolan Godfrey has continued to be dominant in the face off circle, winning 61.3 percent of his face offs last week. He won the only face off in overtime against Bryant, giving Merrimack possession to set up Elia's game-winning goal … Saint Michael's: With six wins, Saint Michael's has eclipsed its four victories from all of last season under second-year head coach Paul Schimoler. Senior Mike Curley (West Hartford, Conn.) tied a program record with seven assists in Tuesday's 19-4 win versus AIC. Junior Brandon Kobelt (Rye, N.Y.) has 98 points in just 36 career contests, and has scored at least two goals in all eight games this season … Bentley: Bentley was ranked 10th in this past weeks Division II top ten poll. The Falcons snapped a three game losing streak with back-to-back wins over AIC and Franklin Pierce, outscoring their opponents 33-2 in and only allowed a combined total of five shots on net in the two games … Saint Anselm: The Hawks 11-9 win at Pace was their first ever victory over the Setters. In the previous eight meetings Pace outscored Saint Anselm by a combined 153-44. The closest loss for the Hawks was a 14-6 defeat in 2001.
