SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team has earned its fifth consecutive berth in the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship tournament. The top-ranked Dolphins (16-0) will host Deep South Champion Limestone (11-6) on May 20 at 1 p.m. Mercyhurst (12-2) will meet Dowling (11-1) in the other semifinal at Stony Brook 2 p.m on May 21.

The semifinal winners will meet in the NCAA Division II Championship on May 28 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The championship game will be televised live on College Sports Television (CSTV).

Le Moyne and Limestone have met in the past two NCAA tournaments. Le Moyne edged Limestone 11-10 in the 2004 national championship, while Limestone upset Le Moyne 9-8 in last season's national semifinal.

The semifinal will mark the second meeting between the two programs this season. In their season-opener, the Dolphins beat Limestone 13-4 on March 4 in Duluth, Ga. Senior Jason Longo (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia), the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player, scored three goals to lead the Le Moyne offense in that game.

Le Moyne leads the NCAA in three team categories and ranks second in two others. The Dolphins are the lone unbeaten team in NCAA Division II, boast the top defense (3.67 goals per game) and lead in scoring margin (10.63). Le Moyne ranks second with 14.25 goals scored per game and second with a faceoff winning percentage of 65.5%.

Goalkeeper Jared Corcoran (Concord, N.H./Concord), the Northeast-10 Conference Goalkeeper of the Year, leads the nation with a 3.73 goals against average and a .664 save percentage. Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year Travis Tarr (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn), Chris Doran (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) and Matt Juriga (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Forks) have keyed the longstick effort in front of Corcoran.

Longo leads a balanced Le Moyne attack with 32 goals this season. He ranks second on the team behind Mike McDonald (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) with 48 total points. McDonald has netted 30 goals and set up 19 for 49 points. Eight different Dolphins have scored 10 or more goals this season.
