Top Seeded Le Moyne Seeks Eighth Straight NE-10 Title

South Easton, Mass. – The Le Moyne College Dolphins claimed
the top seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 Men’s Lacrosse
Championship.
The Dolphins finished conference play without a defeat with a 10-0
record to claim the team’s eighth Northeast-10 Regular Season
Title in nine years. Le Moyne, currently undefeated with a 12-0
overall record, won the last seven Northeast-10 Championship
Titles.
Last season’s regular season champions, the Bulldogs of
Bryant University (12-3, 9-1 NE-10), claimed the second seed in the
championship. Both Le Moyne and Bryant will receive quarterfinal
byes and will each host a semifinal game.
Merrimack College (11-3, 8-2 NE-10) received the third seed in the
tournament, while Saint Michael’s College (7-6, 6-4 NE-10)
secured the fourth seed over Saint Anselm College (8-6, 6-4 NE-10)
due to the Purple Knights regular season win over the Hawks.
Bentley College (7-6, 5-5 NE-10) rounds out the tournament field as
the sixth seed.
The quarterfinals begin on Tuesday, April 29 with #5 Saint Anselm
at #4 Saint Michael’s at 4 p.m., while #6 Bentley is at #3
Merrimack for a 7 p.m. start.
The semifinal round will begin on Friday, May 2 with the winner of
Saint Anselm/Saint Michael’s traveling to face #1 Le Moyne
and the winner of Bentley/Merrimack will be at #2 Bryant. Semifinal
games are set for a 4 p.m. start.
The championship game will take place at 12 p.m. on Sunday, May 4
between the two semifinal winners at the highest remaining
seed.
Sponsoring 23 championship sports and 15 full-time members, the
Northeast-10 is the second largest NCAA Division II athletic
conference in the nation and sponsors the most championships of any
Division II conference.
