Northeast-10 Player of the Week

Matt Delaney, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., D, Wallasey, England) - Named the Most Valuable Player of the Northeast-10 Championship after anchoring a defense that posted three shutouts, including two this past week, and did not allow a shot on goal the entire championship. Also scored the lone goal in the championship game victory over Le Moyne.

Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Sean Lambert, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., GK, Rehoboth, Mass.) - Registered a pair of shutouts as the Penmen captured their third Northeast-10 Championship. Did not face a shot on goal in a 0-0 tie with Franklin Pierce or the 1-0 win over Le Moyne.

Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week

Jesse Carr, Le Moyne (Fr., M, Skaneateles, N.Y.) - Scored a goal in a 1-1 week. Tallied a goal in the 30th minute of a 2-1 double-overtime win at UMass Lowell in the semifinals of the Northeast-10 Championship.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Vinny Papageorgiou, Franklin Pierce (Fr., GK, Wilmington, Mass.) - Made five saves to preserve his seventh shutout of the season in the 0-0 double-overtime draw at 13th-ranked Southern New Hampshire in the semifinal round of the NE-10 Championship.

Sean Lawlor, Le Moyne (So., D, Kirkham, Preston) - Scored a goal in a 1-1 week. Tallied the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win at UMass Lowell in the third minute of the second overtime period in the semifinals of the Northeast-10 championship. Anchored a defense that allowed just one goal in 192 minutes of action. Was named to the Northeast-10 All-Championship team.

Steve White, Le Moyne (Jr., GK, Cortland, N.Y.) - Tallied a 0.94 goals against average and eight saves in a 1-1 week. Allowed one goal, while making five saves, in 102:06 of action in a 2-1 double-overtime win at UMass Lowell in the semifinals of the Northeast-10 Championship.

Stephen Potcner, UMass Lowell (So., F, Wilmington, Mass.) - Scored the team’s lone goal in a 2-1 overtime loss to Le Moyne in the NE-10 Championship semifinal.

Jamie Wangia, UMass Lowell (Sr., M, Lowell, Mass.) - Set up the team’s goal in a 2-1 overtime loss to Le Moyne in the NE-10 semifinals and earned a spot on the Northeast-10 All-Championship Team.

Richard Kentish, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., D, Kingston, Jamaica) - Named to the Northeast-10 All-Championship Team after being part of a defense that posted three shutouts in the championship, including two this past week, and did not allow a shot on goal throughout the championship.

Kevin Woods, Southern New Hampshire (Jr., M, Alyth, Scotland) - Named to the Northeast-10 All-Championship Team. Registered an assist on the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Le Moyne in the championship final.

Weekly Notes:

SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: The Penmen captured the third Northeast-10 tournament title in program history with a 1-0 win over Le Moyne Saturday. SNHU also won tourney titles in 2000 and 2002. Southern New Hampshire tied a school record with its 15th shutout of the season Saturday against Le Moyne, tying a single-season record set in 1997 and tied previously in 2000.
