Northeast-10 Player of the Week
John Lescure, Saint Michael's (Sr., No. 1 Singles/ Doubles,
Kennebunk, Maine) - Posted a 6-4, 7-6 (6) singles victory, and an
8-5 doubles win, in the team win versus Franklin Pierce.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Joe Persia, Le Moyne (Fr., No. 5 Singles/No. 3 Doubles,
Spencerport, N.Y.) - Earned a three-set win at fifth singles and
was victorious at third doubles at Union. Recorded a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2
victory in singles action and an 8-2 victory in doubles play.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Ben Brewer, Franklin Pierce (Fr., No. 3 Singles, Brattleboro, Vt.)
- Posted a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 win over in No. 3 singles, the only point
of the day for Franklin Pierce.
Chris Meeker, Le Moyne (Sr., No. 6 Singles/No. 3 Doubles,
Wampsville, N.Y.) - Earned a three-set win at sixth singles and was
victorious at third doubles at Union. Recorded a 6-1, 2-6, 6-2
victory in singles action and an 8-2 victory in doubles play.
Sean Pahler, Merrimack (Fr., Rumson, N.J.) - Reached the semifinals
of the Singles East B Regional at the East Regionals in Bloomsburg,
PA this past weekend.
John Seaward, Merrimack (Sr., Pomfret, Conn.) - Advanced to the
finals of the Singles East B Regional at the East Regionals in
Bloomsburg, Pa this past weekend.
Dave Besserer, Saint Michael's (Sr., No. 5 Singles/No. 3 Doubles,
Brattleboro, Vt.) - Posted a 6-1, 6-0 singles victory, and an 8-2
doubles win, in the 8-1 defeat of Franklin Pierce.
Adam Brezinsky, Saint Michael's (Jr., No. 4 Singles/No. 2 Doubles,
South Hadley, Mass.) - Posted a 6-2, 6-3 singles victory, and an
8-4 doubles win, in the team’s 8-1 defeat of Franklin
Pierce.
Sean Steigerwald, Saint Michael's (Sr., No. 2 Singles/No. 1
Doubles, North Andover, Mass.) - Posted a 6-4, 6-4 singles victory,
and an 8-5 doubles win, in the 8-1 defeat of Franklin Pierce.
