Higher Seeds Hold Serve in Men's Tennis Championship First Round

Third-seeded Southern New Hampshire University and fourth-seeded Stonehill College advanced to the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Tennis Championship Semifinals, which will take place Thursday, April 19.
#3 So. New Hampshire 5, #6 Le Moyne 0
Manchester, N.H. - Third-seeded So. New Hampshire posted a 5-0 victory over sixth-seeded Le Moyne in the First Round of the Northeast-10 Men's Tennis Championship at the SNHU Courts.
The Penmen swept the three doubles matches, with Mitch Dobek and Mike Wallace posting an 8-1 win at No. 1, while Juan Arango-Campo and Jared Wright were 8-2 winners at No. 2. John Niland and Tim Hamilton rallied for a 9-7 triumph at No. 3 en route to the 5-0 Penmen win.
So. New Hampshire advances to the semifinals Thursday afternoon, when they will take on second-seeded Bentley University.
#4 Stonehill 5, #5 Adelphi 4
South Easton, Mass. - Fourth-seeded Stonehill got some crucial singles wins to pull off a come-from-behind win over fifth-seeded Adelphi today at Stonehill College.
After falling behind 2-1 after the three doubles matches and dropping singles matches at No. 1 and No. 2, Stonehill won the remaining four singles matches to earn a trip to the NE-10 Semifinals, where they will travel to Merrimack to take on the top-seeded Warriors.
At six singles, Brett Armstrong won the match-decider in three sets, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
