Merrimack Claims First Men's Tennis Championship in School History

North Andover, Mass. - The Merrimack College men's tennis team captured their first-ever Northeast-10 Championship Saturday afternoon, defeating Bentley University 5-1 in the championship finals.
With the win, the Warriors match a preogram-record with their 17th victory on the season, as they improve to 17-7 with the win. Bentley falls to 15-6 with the loss.
Merrimack earns the Northeast-10 Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship with the win. They will be making their fifth-straight and fifth trip overall to the NCAA's when the field is announced on April 24th.
Merrimack held a 2-1 advantage after doubles play concluded and prevailed in three singles matches en route to the 5-1 championship win. It's their first title in three championship finals appearances.
