Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Deidre Kittredge, Bryant (Sr., 3B, Worcester, MA) - Hit .407 (11-27), drove in 11 runs, scored seven runs and had six doubles in a 5-3 week. Had two four-hit games, including a 4-for-4 performance with four RBI in a win over American International. She went 4-for-4 including four RBI in a win over Saint Rose.
Northeast-10 Pitcher and Freshman of the Week
Sarah Reed, Le Moyne (Fr., SP, DeWitt, NY) - Went 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 15 2/3 innings on the mound and hit .313 (5-16) with five runs scored at the plate in a 6-0 week. Earned a win in both games of a doubleheader sweep of Southern New Hampshire (one in relief) and picked up a win over Saint Rose.
Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll:
Tara DeMontier, American International (Fr., 3B, Amesbury, MA) - Batted .389 in six games last week with six runs scored and three RBI. Belted a home run against Adelphi.
Amanda Gagne, Bryant (So., OF, Wilbraham, MA) - Hit .407 (11-27), drove in five runs and her first homerun in a 5-3 week. Had two four-hit games including a 4-for-4 performance at the plate with four RBI in a win over American International. She also went 3-for-5 with a homerun and two RBI in a win over Assumption.
Nikki Ingalls, Bryant (So., SP, Westford, MA) - Posted a 2-1 record last week, earned a shutout win over Saint Rose and a decision over American International. Against Saint Rose, allowed just two hits and struck out two. She also had four strikeouts in five innings against American International.
Colleen Varone, Franklin Pierce (So., C, Holliston, MA) - Was a combined 5-for-13 (.385) at the plate with a double, three RBI, three stolen bases and two runs scored in a 2-2 week. Hit 3-for-5, with two RBI (including the game winner), a pair of stolen bases and a run scored in the nightcap of a doubleheader at AIC. Went 1-for-3 with an RBI in game two of a twinbill at Stonehill.
Lindsay Spaziani, Le Moyne (So., OF, Horseheads, NY) - In a 6-0 week, hit .571 (12-21) with seven runs, five RBI and two stolen bases. Went 6-for-7 with four runs scored in a midweek doubleheader sweep of Saint Rose.
Kristen Vadala, Merrimack (Sr., OF, Salem, NH) - Batted .419 (13-for-31) with three runs scored, two doubles, three RBI and five stolen bases in eight games. Had a pair of three hit games during the week, one coming against Saint Anselm and the other was versus Pace.
Jen Roberge, Merrimack (Sr., C, Andover, MA) - Batted .391 (9-23, 4 2B, 2 HR), scored four runs and drove in seven in a 5-3 week.. Collected at least one hit in six of the eight games, while going 4-for-6 with two runs scored and five RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Pace.
Jackie Burd, Pace (Sr., C, Levittown, NY) - In eight games, hit .391 (9-23, 3 2B, 3B, HR) with 12 RBI and four runs scored. Against Bentley, was 3-for-4 with a triple, three runs scored and three RBI. In a double header against Merrimack, was 2-for-5 with one homerun, five RBI and one run scored.
Kelly Kinyon, Pace (Fr., OF, Levittown, PA) - Hit safely in seven of eight games played last week, batted .429 (12-28) with two doubles and nine runs scored. Had multiple hits against Dominican (2-3, 2 R), Caldwell (3-5, 2 R), Bentley (2-4, 3 R, 3 SB) and Merrimack (2-4, R). On the mound, posted a 1-1 record with a 2.87 ERA. Against Dominican, allowed one run on four hits in a complete game victory.
Jessica Wilson, Saint Anselm (Fr., OF, Billerica, MA) - In eight games hit .455 (10-22) with four runs scored, one double, one triple and three RBI. Had a .591 slugging pct., a .480 on-base pct and two stolen bases.
Meggan Roberge, Saint Michael's (So., P, Sheldon Springs, VT) - Went 2-0 and allowed just one earned run in 19 innings (0.37 ERA) while striking out 15 batters. Pitched a five-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts in an extra-inning win versus Southern Connecticut, and threw a two-hit shutout in a victory versus UMass Lowell. Added a double at the plate.
Jessica Dempsey, Southern Connecticut (Fr., SP, Stratford, CT) - Was 2-1 on the week with three complete games and a 0.77 earned run average. Walked nine and struck out 18 while giving up 21 hits in 25 1/3 innings. Pitched nine innings in a win over Bryant (3-2), was the loser in a decision (1-0) at Saint Michael's and picked up a victory over Assumption (2-0).
Ashley Smith, Southern New Hampshire (So., SP, Franklin, NH) - Appeared in five games (3 starts) and posted a 2-1 record with a 1.26 ERA and 25 strikeouts. Tossed a complete-game shutout (3 H, 6 Ks) in a win over Stonehill and did not allow an earned run in a complete game win over Saint Rose (5 H, 6 Ks).
Stephanie Folan, Stonehill (Fr., 3B, Glen Cove, NY) - Batted .500 (11-22) with double, pair of RBI and six stolen bases in 5-3 week. Went 4-for-6 in a doubleheader sweep of Saint Anselm and added three hits in twinbill sweep of Franklin Pierce.
Jessica Sachse, Stonehill (Fr., SP, East Williston, NY) ? Posted a 3-1 mark with 0.50 ERA in four starts last week, including a one-hit complete-game shutout in a triumph at Bentley. Tossed a two-hitter in a win over Franklin Pierce and three-hitter in a win over Saint Anselm, allowing just 10 hits and two earned runs in 28 innings of work while holding opponents to .108 batting average.

MERRIMACK: Senior Kristen Vadala became the school all-time leader in stolen bases, breaking the mark set by Melissa Roy (1985-88). Vadala now has 52 stolen bases in her career. The Warriors finally swept a doubleheader this season, after splitting the first three?SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: Senior Maggie Nugent (Hudson, NH) has moved into second place in career games played among SNHU's all-time leaders. Nugent has played in 127 of a possible 128 games over the past four years. Danielle Jendrasko owns the school-record for career games played (138). Sophomore Felicia Brum (Braintree, MA) has totaled 56 hits in 53 career games over her two-year career?SAINT MICHAEL?S: Senior Noelle Gill (Deep River, Conn.) became the first player in program history to record 100 career hits with a single versus Southern Connecticut on Saturday. Sophomore Meggan Roberge (Sheldon Springs, Vt.) needs 13 more strikeouts to match the program mark of 241 set by four-year pitcher Kara McManus '02. Robyn Newton needs two more victories to reach 50 in her coaching career?STONEHILL: Stonehill's current five-game winning streak is its longest since April 2001 when the Chieftains posted eight straight victories...Stonehill has already matched its win total of last season, as four Chieftain pitchers held opponents to a .177 batting average on the week. Three of Stonehill's five victories last week came in its final at-bat?BENTLEY: The next hit for senior C Jennifer Picardo (Medfield, Mass.) will be the 100th of her Bentley career. Senior SS Lisa Tisbert (Andover, Mass.) has 118 career hits and needs four to move past Courtney Famiglietti into sixth on Bentley's all-time list.
