Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Deidre Kittredge, Bryant (Sr., 3B, Worcester, MA) - Hit .714 (15-21), drove in 10 runs and had four doubles in a 5-1 week. Had four three-hit games including a 3-for-4 performance at the plate in both games of a double-header against Stonehill. She went 2-for-3 including her first home run of the season in a win over Franklin Pierce.
Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Week
Janine Enos, Bryant (Fr., SP, Wareham, MA) - Posted a 2-0 record for the week, earning a shutout win over Franklin Pierce and a decision over Adelphi. Against Franklin Pierce, allowed just three hits and struck out four. She also had three strikeouts in seven innings against Adelphi.
Northeast-10 Freshmen of the Week
Megan Nickerson, American International (Fr., P, Greenfield, MA) - Posted a complete-game victory in first collegiate start against New Haven, striking out eight and allowing just one run. In two appearances last week posted a 0.78 ERA and struck out 10 in nine innings of work.
Sarah Reed, Le Moyne (Fr., P, DeWitt, NY) - In a 3-1 week, hit .417 (5-12) scored two runs and drove in two. Also pitched six strong innings, allowed two runs in a setback to UNC Pembroke.
Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll:
Lindsay Connor, Bryant (So., SS, West Haven, CT ) - Hit .545 (12-22) and drove in four runs in six games last week including a 3-for-4 effort with three RBI in a win over Stonehill. Went 3-for-4 with two runs scored versus Adelphi.
Kate Surgen, Franklin Pierce (Fr., 3B, Southampton, MA) - Totaled three hits and an RBI in a doubleheader at Bryant. She went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate in the first game and added an RBI single in the nightcap.
Kristi Edmunds, Le Moyne (Sr., OF, East Syracuse, NY) - Hit .500 (6-12, 2B, 3B, HR), slugged 1.000, scored three runs and knocked in three in a 3-1 week. Went 3-for-3 in a win at Mount Olive.
Kim Kalec, Le Moyne (Sr., C, Horseheads, NY) - In a 3-1 week, hit .385 (5-13) with three doubles and three runs scored last week.
Erin Phaneuf, Le Moyne (Jr., SP, Dracut, MA) - Went 2-0 with a 2.21 ERA last week. Struck out eight and allowed 10 hits in 12.2 innings of action.
Tess Bair, Pace (Sr., SS, Gaston , OR) ? Went 6-for-10 with two doubles, one homerun and four RBI in a 2-2 week. Against AIC, was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI in game one and 1-for-3 with a run scored in game two. Against CW Post, was 1-for-1 with a double in game and 2-for-3 with a homerun and a stolen base in game two.
Emily Chaput, Saint Anselm (Sr., P, Amesbury, MA) - Pitched a complete game shutout against Southern Connecticut with five strikeouts and only three hits allowed.
Brigitte June, Saint Anselm (Jr., P, Saratoga Springs, NY) - Picked up her first win of the season against Southern Connecticut. Pitched seven innings and gave up only one run on three hits with three strikeouts.
Katelynn McGrath, Saint Anselm (Sr., 2B, Hudson, NH) - Went 3-for-7 from the plate with two runs scored and two stolen bases in two games last week.
Northeast-10 Weekly Notes:
BRYANT: After opening the season 1-6, Bryan has won six of its last seven games including a double-header sweep of Stonehill and Franklin Pierce last week. As a team, Bryant hit .434 last week?SAINT MICHAEL?S: The Purple Knights' four-game weekend series at Saint Anselm and Southern New Hampshire was postponed due to rain. Saint Michael's will visit the Hawks on April 27 at 3:30 p.m., and the Penmen on May 1 at 12 p.m., completing a stretch of 30 games in 25 days?MERRIMACK: Merrimack had games with two opponents scheduled last week, but weather postponed one and cancelled another. The Warriors will play their first game in the Northeast on Tuesday, hosting Southern Connecticut at 3 p.m?BENTLEY: If Bentley plays Stonehill on Wednesday as is scheduled, it will mark the Falcons' first action in three weeks. Bentley has had four straight doubleheaders rained out, beginning with its final two games during its trip to Florida last month. The Stonehill doubleheader will be the first of 18 scheduled games in a span of 13 days for Bentley.
