Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Jordan Dargon, Bryant (Sr., C, Trumbull, CT) - Hit .467 (7-15) drove in 15 runs and scored six. Had two home runs to go along with three doubles. Went 3-for-3 with three runs, five RBI and a home run in a win against Saint Rose.
Northeast-10 Co-Pitchers of the Week
Stephanie Brooks, Assumption (Jr., SP, Reading, MA) - In two starts last week, went 2-0 in 12 innings pitched (0.00 ERA) with a complete game shutout, a combined shutout, nine strikeouts, and one walk. Pitched six innings (6 H, 6 K) in the game two victory over Bryant and six innings (4 H, 3 K, BB) in the shutout win over Southern Connecticut.
Sarah Reed, Le Moyne (So., SP, DeWitt, NY) - Saved the first game and won the second in a doubleheader sweep over Assumption. Pitched nine scoreless innings (0.00 ERA), struck out six and allowed seven hits without walking a batter. In the second game, twirled a four-hit shutout for the win.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Stacey Lajoie, UMass Lowell (Fr., SS, Gardner, MA) - Batted .579 (3 2B, 3 HR, 10 R, 7 RBI) and had a 1.211 slugging percentage in a 5-1 week. Hit a two-run homer in a 5-4 win against Saint Anselm, a three-run homer in the sixth inning of a 5-1 win over New Haven and a solo shot for the game-winning RBI in a 3-2 victory at Saint Michael's.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Kayla Donnelly, American International (So., OF, Pittsfield, MA) - Batted .429 and hit safely in all four games in a 3-1 week. Was 2-for-4 with a run scored in a 4-2 extra-inning win over Bentley.
Megan Nickerson, American International (So., SP, Greenfield, MA) - Was 1-0 with a 1.38 earned run average and 14 strikeouts in 13 innings in two starts last week. Threw a complete-game four-hit shutout in a 4-0 win over Bridgeport and went six innings in a 4-2 extra-inning triumph over Bentley, striking out seven. Held opponents to a .188 batting average for the week.
Nicole Siciliano, American International (Sr., OF, Enfield, CT) - Batted .444 in a 3-1 week. Went 2-for-4 with a game-winning two-run triple in the ninth inning in a 4-2 win over Bentley.
Korina Salafia, Assumption (So., DH, Leominster, MA) - Batted .438 (7-for-16, RS, 7 TB) last week. Was 4-for-6 with a run scored in the doubleheader with Bryant and 3-for-7 in the doubleheader with Le Moyne.
Alex Hitchcock, Bentley (Fr., SS , Abington, MA) - In a 1-2 week, hit .500 (5-10) with two runs scored, one RBI and a .545 on base percentage. Also handled 15 chances in the field without an error. Had four hits in the AIC doubleheader.
Diane Morrison, Bentley (So., SP, Massapequa, NY) - Did not allow an earned run and finished with a four-hitter in a 4-2 win over Post University. Struck out three, walked two and did not allow a run over the final six innings.
Jennifer Winters, Le Moyne (Sr., SS, Vestal, NY) - Hit .667 (4-for-6) with two doubles and one home run (1.500 slugging pct.) in a doubleheader sweep of Assumption. Went 3-for-3 in the opener with two RBI and had a solo home run in the nightcap.
Kristen Mahoney, UMass Lowell (Jr., SP, Burlington, MA) - Had a 2-0 week on the mound, giving up just three runs (one earned) across the two games while striking out eight batters, holding the opposition to a .196 batting average.
Steph Simon, Merrimack (So., SS, Windham, NH) - Hit .400 as Merrimack went 1-1. Went 2-for-5 with three RBI and a home run on the week.
Julia Hunt, Pace (Jr., SP, Mahopac, NY) - Was 2-1 on the week with a 1.91 earned-run-average and 14 strikeouts in 22 innings pitched. Picked up back-to-back wins against Merrimack (7IP, CG, 8 hits, 4R, 4 ER, 4 K) and Saint Michael's (7IP, CG, 9 hits, 1R, 1 ER, 5 K). Against L.I.U.-C.W. Post, pitched a complete game, allowing two runs (1 earned) on six hits while striking out five. Against Saint Michael's at the plate, was 2-for-3 with a double and the game-winning run in the bottom of the 7th.
Julie Pistorino, Saint Anselm (Sr., 1B, Abington, MA) - Hit .385 for the week in four games, including a double and a three-run homer, as well as one run scored and five runs batted in. Drew a pair of walks, had one stolen base, and was perfect in the field in 34 putout attempts at first base.
Megan O'Connor, Saint Michael's (Fr., SP, Georgetown, MA) - In a 1-3 week, went 1-1 with a 1.62 ERA in two complete game performances (13 innings pitched), while allowing just 11 hits and no walks with 17 strikeouts. Earned a win versus UMass Lowell with a season-high 12 strikeouts, and allowed just two earned runs in a loss at Pace. Also batted .308 (4-13) with a walk while committing no errors.
Sara Swales, Southern New Hampshire (So., OF, Lawrence, MA) - Went 2-for-5 with three RBI during a doubleheader sweep of Saint Anselm. Drove in two runs in game one.
Ashley Bernstein, Southern New Hampshire (Fr., SP, Stoughton, MA) - Allowed just four hits and no earned runs in an 8-2 win over Saint Anselm. Recorded three strikeouts.

LE MOYNE: The Dolphins, ranked 19th in the latest NFCA poll, have won six consecutive games. Sophomore righty Sarah Reed, the 2005 NCAA Division II leader in saves, collected her first save of the season in Le Moyne's conference opener. Reed (4-5, 0.78 ERA) has not allowed a run over the last 23 innings and has not yielded an earned run in 38 and 1/3 innings? AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL: Head coach Judy Groff is just two wins shy of 850 for her career. The Yellow Jackets have won seven straight Northeast-10 games dating back to last season? UMASS LOWELL: UML batters have slugged 10 home runs to date, topping last season's total of nine. Four of those 10 homers belong to freshman SS Stacey Lajoie, the only player on the team to hit multiple home runs so far? ASSUMPTION Assumption was ranked #2 in the latest NCAA Division II Regional poll announced last week. The Greyhounds won their home opener, a newly renovated Marois Field, last Saturday against Southern Connecticut, downing the Owls 1-0. Game 2 of the doubleheader was postponed due to rain. Freshman Amanda Monge (Reading, MA/Central Catholic) doubled home starting pitcher, junior, Stephanie Brooks (Reading, MA/Reading), who had singled to center? SAINT MICHAEL'S Junior Casey Brooks (Colchester, Vt.) became the third player in program history to record 100 career hits with a single in the second game versus UMass Lowell on Saturday. She is just 19 hits shy of the program record of 120, set by Noelle Gill '05. She is on pace to break her own program record for runs in a season (30, currently has 13), and Gill's record of 44 hits in a season (currently has 23). Classmate Meggan Roberge (Sheldon Springs, Vt.) set a program record for career innings pitched on Sunday at Pace, and is currently at 406 innings pitched? Bentley Freshman shortstop Alex Hitchcock (Abington, Mass.) sports an eight-game hitting streak, during which time she's hit .500 (13-26).
