Dan Vitagliano, Southern Connecticut (Jr., New Haven, CT) - Won
the 200-yard freestyle (1:43.23) and the 100-yard freestyle (47.49)
in a dual meet win over The College of New Jersey.
Northeast-10 Women’s Swimming Athlete
Alison Lesher, Le Moyne (Jr., Sherrill, NY) - Won three individual
events in a dual meet win at Hartwick. Won the 200-yard (1:57.16),
500-yard (5:15.27) and 1000-yard free (10:40.63).
Northeast-10 Men’s Diving Athlete of the
Week
Jason Flores, Southern Connecticut (So., New Haven, CT) - Passed
the NCAA provisional qualifying standard with 270.55 points in
one-meter diving in a win over The College of New Jersey.
Northeast-10 Women’s Diving Athlete of the
Week
Ali Bronson, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Torrington, CT) - Scored
239.55 points to win the one-meter diving in a victory over The
College of New Jersey.
Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the
Week
Jessica Looney, Bryant (Fr., Goffstown, NH) - Captured the
1650-yard freestyle in 18:55.31, the 50-yard breaststroke (35.01),
100-yard freestyle (58.05), 100-yard backstroke (1:04.83) and
100-yard butterfly (27.11) and was a member of the 400-medley relay
winning team.
Northeast-10 Men’s Freshman of the Week
Tony Tryonis, Bentley (Fr., Knox, IN) - In a 141-39 win at Gordon,
captured the 100-yard backstroke in 57.45 and also participated on
Bentley's two winning relays (200-yard medley, 1:45.79, and
200-yard free, 1:39.22). In addition, was fifth in the 100-yard
individual medley (1:00.26).
Weekly Honor Roll:
Kaitlin Chepeleff, Bentley (So., Vernon, CT) - In a 141-90 win at
Gordon, finished first in both the 200-yard freestyle (2:08.83) and
100-yard breaststroke (1:12.09), and also swam a leg on Bentley's
winning 200-yard free relay team (1:46.44). In breaststroke,
defeated 2006 Division III All-America Kristen Groff by 2.17
seconds.
Liza Connolly, Bentley (Jr., Washington, CT) - In a 141-90 win at
Gordon, was victorious in the 100-yard free (56.51) and 50-yard
butterfly (29.13). Also was part of Bentley's winning 200-yard free
relay team (1:46.44).
Sean Osit, Bentley (Sr., Acton, MA) - Finished first in both the
50-yard breaststroke (30.47) and 100-yard individual medley (57.97)
in a 141-39 win over Gordon.
Margaret Dickenson, Bryant (Fr., West Newbury, MA) - Won the
50-yard backstroke in 32.14 seconds and the 100-yard individual
medley in 1:05.88.
James Newton, Bryant (Jr., Rockland, MA) - Took first in the
200-yard free in 1:57.99 and the 100-yard butterfly in 59.01.
Ray Savner, Bryant (Jr., Bethlehem, CT) – A winner in both
the 50-yard free (22.71) and 100-yard freestyle in 50.69.
Ricky Chidsey, Le Moyne (So., Liverpool, NY) - Won two individual
events and teamed for a relay win in a dual meet setback at
Hartwick. Won the 200-yard IM (2:01.81) and 200-yard back (2:00.64)
and teamed as part of the 400-yard medley relay win.
Ryan Lowrie, Le Moyne (Sr., Johnson City, NY) - Won two individual
events and captured a relay in a dual meet loss at Hartwick. Won
the 50-yard free (22.28) and 100-yard free (49.51) and also teamed
as part of the 400-yard medley relay win.
Nicole Murphy, Le Moyne (Fr., Camillus, NY) - Won three individual
events in a dual meet win at Hartwick. Won the 200-yard IM
(2:18.75), 100-yard free (57.14) and 200-yard breast (2:33.04).
Lindsey Burgess, Saint Michael's (Fr., Westborough, MA) - Won
three individual events in a dual-meet victory at Colby-Sawyer.
Took the 100-yard butterfly (1:04.12), the 100-yard freestyle
(59.62), and the 50-yard butterfly (29.55).
Stephanie Hammer, Saint Michael's (So., Billings, MT) - Won two
individual events in a dual-meet victory at Colby-Sawyer. Took the
1,650-yard freestyle (19:35.98), and the 500-yard freestyle
(5:43.26).
Laura Mann, Saint Michael's (Sr., Attleboro, MA) - Won two
individual events in a dual-meet victory at Colby-Sawyer. Took the
100-yard breaststroke (1:16.82) and the 50-yard breaststroke
(34.00).
Allan Smith, Saint Michael's (Sr., Southbury, CT) - Won two
individual events and one team event in a dual-meet at
Colby-Sawyer. Took the 50-yard freestyle (23.51) and the 100-yard
freestyle (52.85), and anchored the winning 200-yard freestyle
relay (23.16 closing leg).
Cody Hall, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Parker, CO) - In a dual meet
win over The College of New Jersey, won the 200-yard individual
medley in 2:14.12 and the 200-yard butterfly in 2:13.27. Also
teamed up to win the 400-yard medley relay with a time of
4:06.39.
