Northeast-10 Men’ s Swimming Athlete of the
Week
Ricky Chidsey, Le Moyne (Sr., Liverpool, N.Y.) - Placed eighth in
the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 1:48.82 at the NCAA
Championships to earn First Team All-America honors. Also picked up
Honorable Mention All-America accolades with a 12th-place finish in
the 100-yard backstroke in 50.34 seconds.
Northeast-10 Women’s Swimming Athlete of the
Week
Cody Hall, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Parker, Colo.) - Collected
three All-America honors this past week at the NCAA National
Championships. Took fourth place in the 1650-yard freestyle and
eighth place in both the 1000-yard freestyle and 400-yard IM
events.
Northeast-10 Men’s Diving Athlete of the
Week
Greg Simoneau, Southern Connecticut (So., Sandy Hook, Conn.) -
Earned two All-America accolades at the National Championships this
past week. Grabbed sixth place in the three-meter (401.45) and
eighth place in the one-meter (370.00) diving events.

Northeast-10 Men’ s Freshman of the Week
Ryan Brauer, Saint Rose (Fr., Clifton Park, N.Y.) - Established
himself as a three-time All-American after setting his fifth school
record within a four-day span at the NCAA Division II
Championships. Sliced nearly five seconds off his own school record
on the way to an eighth place performance in the 200-yard
breaststroke (2:08.44). Earlier in the meet, swam a 1:51.88 in the
200 butterfly to remove three seconds off his mark with a 22nd
place performance. Finished 11th to garner honorable mention
All-America accolades in the 400 individual medley relay with a
3:59.02 clocking. Took a staggering 21 seconds off his own school
record with a 9:24.53 clocking in the 1,000 freestyle.
Northeast-10 Women’ s Freshman of the
Week
Katie O'Donnell, Le Moyne (Fr., Delmar, N.Y.) - Placed 11th in the
200-yard backstroke in a school-record time of 2:03.94 at the NCAA
Championships to earn Honorable Mention All-America honors. Also
picked up Honorable Mention All-America accolades with a 16th-place
finish in the 200-yard IM in 2:07.99 after reaching the finals with
a school-record time of 2:06.77 in the preliminaries. Also set the
school record in the 100-yard backstroke preliminaries with a time
of 57.56 to finish 17th.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Miguel Nesrala, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Santo Domingo, D.R.) -
Collected ninth place in the 200-yard freestyle event in day two of
the NCAA National Championships. For his performance he was awarded
an All-America honorable mention tribute.
Emily Sundel, Southern Connecticut (Jr., West Hartford, Conn.) -
Grabbed two All-America Honorable mentions at the NCAA National
Championships this past week. Notched 15th place in the 500-yard
freestyle event, touching the wall with a time of 5:03.68. Also
nabbed 14th place in the 1000-yard freestyle, swimming the heat in
10:18.93.
