Northeast-10 Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week

Aaron Rocheleau, Southern Connecticut (So., Newington, Conn.) - Placed second in both the 400 IM and 200 freestyle and was third in the 500 freestyle at the Sonny Werblin Invitational at Rutgers.

Northeast-10 Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week

Kristen Frost, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Madison, Conn.) - Took home first place in the 200 and 400 yard IM at the Sonny Werblin Invitational this past weekend.

Northeast-10 Men’s Diving Athlete of the Week

Ryan Cutler, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Mystic, Conn.) - Finished second in 3-meter diving (189.45) and third in 1-meter diving (184.75) at Sonny Werblin Invitational at Rutgers

Northeast-10 Women’s Diving Athlete of the Week

Amanda Burden, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Orange, Conn.) - Was the top Division II finisher in both the 1- and 3-meter diving events at the Sonny Werblin Invitational at Rutgers. Finished fifth in 3-meter with a score of 167.75 and sixth in 1-meter with a score of 184.45.

Northeast-10 Men’s Freshman of the Week

Jeremy Frey, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Pipersville, Pa.) - Finished third in the 400 IM, sixth in the 100 backstroke and was a part of the 400 freestyle relay team that finished fourth at the Sonny Werblin Invitational at Rutgers.

Northeast-10 Women’s Freshman of the Week

Jill Capadanno, Assumption (Fr, Dracut, Mass.) – In a dual meet team win versus WPI finished first in the 200 yard freestyle (2:05.02), 500 yard freestyle (5:43.02) and second in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:07.16. All three times were school records. Also swam the third leg on the 200 yard medley relay team that placed first.

Weekly Honor Roll:

Katherine Carder, Assumption (Fr., Sudbury, Mass.) – In a dual meet team win versus WPI, finished second in the 1,000 yard freestyle setting a new school record with a time of 12:43.03. Placed third in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:41.42 and finished fourth in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:40.24. Swam the first leg of the 200 yard medley relay team that finished first.

Erica Cusumano, Assumption (Fr., Warwick, R.I.) - Finished first in the 100 yard breaststroke setting a new school record with a time of 1:18.81. Placed second in the 200 yard Breaststroke setting a new school record with a time of 2:54.39 and in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:36.39. Swam the second leg of the 200 yard medley relay team that finished first during a dual meet team win versus WPI.

Kristen Norris, Assumption (Fr., Ansonia, Conn.) - Finished first in the 50 yard freestyle with a school record time of 27.45 and finished first in 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:01.52. Had a third place finish in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:16.68. Swam the final leg of the 200 yard medley relay team that placed first during a dual meet team win versus WPI.
