Northeast-10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week
Patrick Morasse, UMass Lowell (Sr., Lowell, MA) - In his first competition since the NCAA Cross Country Championship due to injuries, captured the mile at the Tufts Indoor Invitational with a time of 4:20.95.
Northeast-10 Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Ashley Moulton, UMass Lowell (Jr., Haverhill, MA) - Won both the 55 and 200 meter dashes at the Tufts Indoor Invitational. Emerged from a fifth-place finish and a time of 7.50 seconds in the 55 preliminary to place first with a time of 7.35 seconds. Also won the 200 meter dash in 25.82 seconds.
Northeast-10 Men's Track Freshman of the Week
Torrey Price, Stonehill (Fr., Sleepy Hollow, NY) - Placed third in the 55 meters (6.64) and sixth in the 200 meters (23.59) at Tufts Invitational and was also the lead runner on winning 4 X 200 relay team.
Northeast-10 Women's Track Freshman of the Week
Amanda Early, Bryant (Fr., Haverhill, MA) - Qualified for the finals of the women's 55 meters at the Smith Tartan Invitational Saturday with a time of 7.89 seconds and placed eighth in the finals in a personal-best 7.88 seconds. Took fourth in the 200 meter dash in a 27.62 seconds.
Northeast-10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Kevin Taylor, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Bristol, CT) - At the Giegengack Invitational at Yale, won the long jump with a NCAA provisional qualifying standard of 23 feet, six inches. Finished fourth in the high jump at 6-4.
Northeast-10 Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Enjoli Edwards, UMass Lowell (Sr., Philadelphia, PA) - Won her fifth shot put title of the season as she placed first with a throw of 42' 5.25'' at the Tufts Indoor Invitational.
Northeast-10 Women's Freshman Field Athlete of the Week
Rachel Martinich, Bryant (Fr., Fairfield, CT) - Earned two personal bests on the season at the Smith Tartan Invitational. In the shot put, finished 9th with a mark of 35 feet, 3.25 inches. Had a 14th-place finish in the women's weight throw at 28-3.75, also a personal best.

Kevin Chan, Bentley (So., Newton, MA) - Broke a 13-year-old school record in the shot put by about two feet with a throw of 48 feet, 3.25 inches, good for a third-place finish at the Dartmouth Invitational.
Stephan Ramirez, Bentley (So., San Antonio, TX) - At the Dartmouth Invitational, finished first in the 800 meters with a time of 1:56.98.
Hafiz Greigre, Bryant (So., Attleboro, MA) - Captured first place in both the men's 55 meters (6.54) and 200 (22.69) meters at the Smith Tartan Invitational. In addition, added a first place finish in the long jump with a school record mark of 22 feet, 1 inch.
Lawrence Aidoo, UMass Lowell (Sr. , Providence, RI ) - Won the 55 meter dash in a field of 42 sprinters at the Tufts Indoor Invitational with a time of 6.49 seconds, down from his preliminary-winning time of 6.54.
Kevin Bettencourt, UMass Lowell (So., Chelmsford, MA) - Won the 400 meter in a field of 37 sprinters at the Tufts Indoor Invitational with a time of 51.17 seconds.
Ivan Schmidt, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Bridgeport, CT) - Won the high jump at the Giegengack Invitational at Yale with a leap of six feet, 11 inches.
Dickie Gerry, Stonehill (So., Bow, NH) - Placed first in 800 meters with time of 1:56.48 at Tufts Invitational and qualified for all-New England Championships in event.
WOMEN:
Caitlyn Clark, Assumption (Sr., Worcester, MA) - Won the 800 meter race with a career-best time of 2:24.01 and finished second in the mile with a personal best time of 5:08.99 at the Smith Invitational. Ran the opening leg of the 4x400 relay race as her team finished sixth in the race (4:42). Accumulated a team-best 18.75 points in the meet.
Meghan Bouchard, Bentley (Jr., Hebron, CT) - Finished sixth in the 500 meters at the Dartmouth Invitational with a personal best time of 1:24.93.
Jessica Cegarra, Bryant (Jr., Danville, NH) - Placed third overall in the women's shot put at the Smith Tartan Invitational, finishing with a mark of 40 feet. Also, a ninth-place finish in the women's weight throw at 34-8.25.
Natasha Stevenson, Bryant (Jr., Haverhill, MA) - Placed second in the women's 55 meter dash in a time of 7.52 seconds and took home a first place finish in the women's 200 meters in 26.25 seconds at the Smith College Tartan Invitational. Competing in the long jump for the first time, captured first place in the event, clearing 16 feet, 6 inches.
Female Coreen Edwards, UMass Lowell (Fr., Boston, MA) - Ran a leg on UML's 4X200 meter relay team which placed first in 1:46.17 at the Tufts Indoor Invitational. Also placed third among 40 sprinters in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.43 seconds.
Dana DeIngenis, Stonehill (Jr., Cranston, RI) - Qualified for all-New England Championships in 800 meters for Skyhawks at Tufts Invitational with time of 800 meters in event.

ASSUMPTION: The Assumption track and field team had several point scorers at the Smith Invitational last Saturday. Senior Caitlyn Clark (Worcester, MA/St. Peter-Marian) led the way with 18.75 pts along with junior Nicole Pankey's (Portsmouth, RI/Portsmouth) 8.25 points. Pankey had a career-best 7.76 in the 55m dash preliminary race, finishing fifth. Other women's scorers were freshman Trisha Domings (Lexington, MA/Lexington), sophomore Kristina Fox (Smithfield, RI/Smithfield), and freshman Molly O'Connell (Sandy State, UT/Juan Diego Catholic). The 4x400 (sixth) and 4x200 (fifth) relay teams also scored at the event. The men's 4x400 and 4x200 relay teams both finished fourth BENTLEY: At the Dartmouth Invitational, sophomore Kevin Chan (Newton, Mass.) broke a 13-year-old school record in the shot put by about two feet with a throw of 48 feet, 3.25 inches. Personal bests set in the meet included Ryan Agnew (Spencer, Mass.) in the mile (4:20.63), Samantha Robbins (Franklin, Mass.) in the 1000 (3:08.60), Meghan Bouchard (Hebron, Conn.) in the 500 meters (1:24.93) and Caroline Sheedy (Reading, Mass.) in the mile (5:32.47) BRYANT: The Bryant men's and women's indoor track teams placed second and third respectively at Saturday's Smith College Tartan Invitational. Sophomore Hafiz Greigre (Attleboro, MA) captured first in the men's 55m and 200m and would add a first-place finish in the men's long jump with a school record record mark of 22 feet, 1 inch. Natasha Stevenson (Haverhill, MA) was second in the finals of the 55 meters (7.52) and took first in the 200 meters (26.25). Stevenson would later take top honors in the women's long jump, clearing 16-6. The women's 4x200 meter relay team of Jessica Cegarra (Danville, NH), Amanda Early (Haverhill, MA), Justine Douvadjian (Andover, MA), and Stevenson set a school record with a first place finish time of 1 minute, 50.12 secondsUMASS LOWELL: In his first action since the NCAA Cross Country Championship on Nov. 19, senior Patrick Morasse won the mile at the Tufts Indoor Invitational with a time of 4:20.95Morasse was one of three River Hawks to win individual titles while the 4X800 meter relay team also placed first to lead UML to third place at the Tufts Indoor InvitationalOn the women's side, UML compiled 86 points in the sprints alone to place second at the Tufts Indoor Invitational. The UML women won four events led by junior Ashley Moulton, who won both the 55 and 200 meter dashes and the 4X200 meter relaySenior Enjoli Edwards won her fifth shot put title of the season and has yet to finish behind a Division II or III thrower this season SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT: The Southern Connecticut State University men's indoor track and field team set a school record and automatically qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships in the distance medley relay during the Giegengack Invitational at Yale University on Friday. Also during the two-day meet, Southern won the 4x400-meter relay despite being the only non Division-I team entered in that event. The distance medley relay team finished in nine minutes, 54.68 seconds. Sophomore Collin Walsh (Bethany, Conn.) ran the opening leg of 1,200 meters in 3:01.9 and was followed by sophomore Roman Henry's (Brooklyn, N.Y.) 48.3 seconds for 400 meters. Senior James King (Danbury, Conn.) clocked a 1:56.6 800-meter leg, and graduate student Ramon Laboy (Danbury, Conn.) anchored by running 1,600 meters in 4:07.7. The Owls finished fifth in the meet, 11.12 seconds behind winner Georgetown University. The previous school record holders were Tom Cary, Bob Gagnon, Estaban Rivera and Mark Mullarkey with a metric-system-adjusted time of 9:56.23 in 1990. The 2006 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships will be held March 9-11 in Boston. The 4x400 team defeated second-place University of Pennsylvania by .07 seconds by running the fifth-fastest Division II time in the nation to date this season, an NCAA provisional qualfifying 3:14.41. Two other Southern athletes qualified provisionally for nationals, Ivan Schmidt (Bridgeport, Conn.) in the high jump (six feet, 11 inches) and Kevin Taylor (Bristol, Conn.) in the long jump (23' 3 3/4"). The women's indoor track and field had four top-five finishes at the Giegengack Invitational over the weekend at Yale University. Southern was one of only two non Division-I teams out of nine competing schools. STONEHILL: Stonehill will serve as the co-host for the upcoming 2006 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center on March 10th and 11th. Log-on to www.stonehillskyhawks.com or www.ncaasports.com for additional information...The Skyhawk men placed second among 22 entrants at the Tufts Invitational on Saturday afternoon, as Stonehill was bested only by the host Jumbos and topped third-place UMass Lowell in the final team standings...Junior Vinnie Williams (Springfield, Mass.) and sophomore Dickie Gerry (Bow, N.H.) took first place honors in the 200 and 800 meters, respectively, for Stonehill, as Gerry qualified for the all-New England Championships in his event while junior Dana Burbank (North Andover, Mass.) also qualified for New Englands in the 55 meter high hurdles...The men's 4 X 200 relay team of Williams, freshman Torrey Price (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.), senior Paul Viggiano (Trumbull, Conn.) and junior Derek Hebert (Rockland, Mass.) also took first place in the competition...On the women's side, junior Dana DeIngenis (Cranston, R.I.) qualified for the all-New England Championships for Stonehill in the 800 meters, while fellow junior Colleen Burbank (Dedham, Mass.) placed fourth in the long jump.
