Northeast-10 Men's Track Athlete of the Week
Hafiz Greigre, Bryant (So., Attleboro, MA) - Captured first place in both the 55 meters (new school record time of 6.44) and 200 meters, crossing the line in 22.05, at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship. Placed second in the men's long jump, setting another new school record with a leap of 22 feet, 1.75 inches.
Northeast-10 Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Toni-Marie Henry, UMass Lowell (Jr., Springfield, MA) Placed first at the NE-10 Indoor Track and Field Championship in the 200M with a time of 25.75. Also finished second in the 55-Meter Dash with a time of 7.29.
Northeast-10 Men's Track Freshman of the Week
Patrick Molloy, UMass Lowell (Fr., Methuen, MA) Won the 800 meters at the Northeast-10 Championship with a time of 1:58.57. Was also a member of UML's distance medley relay team - ran the 800 in 2:00 flat - which placed third with a time of 10:53.26.
Northeast-10 Women's Track Co-Freshmen of the Week
Melissa Nash, Bentley (Fr., Marshfield, MA) - Captured the 5,000 meters at the Northeast-10 Championships, with a time of 19:02.16.
Sarah Brassard, UMass Lowell (Fr., Oxford, MA) - Won the 800 meters and helped the UMass Lowell 4X800 meter relay team to the title at the Northeast-10 Championship. Posted a time of 2:25.11 in the 800 meters and helped the 4X800 team to a time of 9:59.66.
Northeast-10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Ivan Schmidt, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Bridgeport, CT) Was the 2005-2006 Northeast-10 Indoor Track and Field Championship's Most Outstanding Athlete of the Meet. Captured the high jump with a feat of 7'1" (2.15m).
Northeast-10 Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Esia Johnson, UMass Lowell (Sr., Lawrence, MA) - Was the 2005-2006 Northeast-10 Indoor Track and Field Championship's Most Outstanding Athlete of the Meet. In the individual events, collected second place finished in the long jump and triple jump with distances of 18'6" and 37'5 ?" and fifth in the 200-meter dash.
Northeast-10 Women's Freshman Field Athlete of the Week
Yvonne Perkins, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Danbury, CT) - At the NE-10 indoor championships, Perkins was selected as co-Freshman of the Year. She won the weight throw with a toss of 49 feet, 4.5 inches.

Stephan Ramirez, Bentley (So., San Antonio, TX) - Finished first in the 3,000 meters at the Northeast-10 Championships with a meet record time of 8:31.62, and also helped Bentley finish second in the 4x800 relay (8:10.21).
Anthony Vitale, Bentley (Sr., Natick, MA) - Finished first in the 5,000 meters at the Northeast-10 Championships with a meet record time of 15:25.74, and also helped Bentley finish second in the 4x800 relay (8:10.21).
Diego Pinheiro , UMass Lowell ( Sr. , Ashland, MA ) Placed first in the 400-Meter Dash at the Northeast-10 Championship with a time of 49.24.
Jeremy Alvarez, Southern Connecticut (So., Bronx, NY) - Alvarez won the 500-meter race at the NE-10 indoor championships with a time of 1:05.91 and was a member of the winning 4 x 400 relay team, which had a time of 3:23.70.
Rob Coates, Southern Connecticut (So., East Haven, CT) At the NE-10 indoor championships, won the pole vault at 15 feet, six inches, and placed first in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.84 seconds.
Vincent Cossuto, Southern Connecticut (So., New Milford, CT) At the Northeast-10 championship, won the shot put with a distance of 49 feet. Also placed second in the weight throw with a distance of 52'7" at the championship.
Frank Gambardella, Southern Connecticut (So., East Haven, CT) Won the weight throw competition at the Northeast-10 championship with a distance of 52'10 ?" (16.10m).
Kyle Greene, Sothern Connecticut (Gr., Windsor, CT) - Won the long jump (22-4.75) and the triple jump (47-10) at the NE-10 indoor championships.
Ramon Laboy, Southern Connecticut (Gr., Danbury, CT) Placed first in the one mile run at the Northeast-10 Championship with a time of 4:16.44.
Collin Walsh, Southern Connecticut (So, Bethany, CT) Won the 1,000 Meter Run in a time of 2:31.61 at the Northeast-10 Championship.
WOMEN:
Caitlyn Clark, Assumption (Sr., Worcester, MA) - Became the first Assumption runner to win a Northeast-10 Indoor championship event while winning the mile event in 5:11.89. Also finished fourth in the 1,000-meter event and ran on two relay teams, the second-place distance medley and the fifth-place 4x800 relay and accounted for 16.5 of her team's 33 points.
Enjoli Edwards, UMass Lowell (Sr., Philadelphia, PA) Placed first in the shot put at the Northeast-10 Indoor championship with a distance of 44'11 ?".
Julie Handy, UMass Lowell (Sr., Yorba Linda, CA) Captured first place in the 55-Meter hurdles at the Northeast-10 Indoor championship with a time of 8.38.
Jill Thibodeau, UMass Lowell (Sr., Westminster, MA) - Placed first at the NE-10 Indoor Track and Field Championship in the 500 Meter Run with a time of 1:19.35.
Merlene Egbert, Southern Connecticut (Jr., Danbury, CT) - Won the high jump (5-4), the long jump (18-11) and the triple jump (39 feet) as the only performer in the Northeast-10 indoor track and field championships to win three individual events.
Koreena Glanville, Southern Connecticut (Sr., Brooklyn, NY) - Won the 400-meter race at the NE-10 indoor championships with a time of 59.24 seconds.
Sasha Mathelier, Southern Connecticut (So., Uniondale, NY) - Won the pole vault with a leap of 10 feet, six inches at the NE-10 indoor championships.
Syome Wong, Southern Connecticut (Fr., Laurelton, NY) Placed first at the NE-10 Indoor Track and Field Championship in the 55-Meter Dash with a time of 7.26.
Dana DeIngenis, Stonehill (Jr., Cranston, RI) - Earned all-league accolades by finishing first in 1,000 meters for Skyhawks at Northeast-10 Championships, posting time of 3:04.15 in event.
Erin Smith, Stonehill (Sr., Brockton, MA) - Earned all-conference honors by placing first in 3,000 meters with time of 10:47.24 at the Northeast-10 Championships. Added a third place finish in mile (5:15.07).

NORTHEAST-10: For full results from the Northeast-10 Indoor Track and Field Championship visit www.northeast10.org SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT: Men: Coach Jack Maloney was named NE-10 Coach of the Year after leading the Owls to their fourth consecutive team title in the NE-10 indoor track and field championship Saturday at Moore Fieldhouse. Southern senior Ivan Schmidt was named the NE-10 Athlete of the Year and the Most Outstanding performer of the meet, winning the high jump at seven feet, one inch. Graduate student Kyle Greene had an outstanding afternoon, placing first in the long jump (22-4.75) and the triple jump (47-10). Sophomore Rob Coates was a double-winner, taking the pole vault at 15 feet, six inches and finishing first in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.84 seconds. Sophomore Jeremy Alvarez won at 500 meters with a time of 1:05.91 and was a member of the 4 x 400 meter relay, which had a winning time of 3:23.70. The Owls won every field event and two relays en route to the championship. Women: Coach Jim Barber's team finished second behind UMass Lowell in the team competition but the Owls had some outstanding individual performances. Junior Merlene "Stacey" Egbert was the only triple event winner, placing first in the high jump (5-4), the long jump (18-11) and the triple jump (39 feet). Sophomore Sasha Mathelier, in her first season competing in the pole vault, won the event at the NE10 championships at a height of 10 feet, six inches. Freshman Yvonne Perkins was named co-Freshman of the Year and won the weight throw with a toss of 49 feet, 4.5 inches UMASS LOWELL: The UMass Lowell women's track and field team captured five events and two relays as it won its fifth straight Northeast-10 Championship Saturday. Two atheltes - seniors Esia Johnson (Lawrence, MA) and Enjoli Edwards (Philadelphia, PA) - enhanced their NCAA provisional standards. Johnson placed second in the long jump with a distance of 18' 6.0'', more than two inches better than her season-best leap. Edwards won the shot put with a throw of 44' 11.25, nearly two inches farther than her previous season-best of 44' 9.5''...On the men's side, senior Diego Pinheiro (Ashland, MA) became the third UMass Lowell sprinter to qualify for the NCAA 400 meter dash championship as he won the NE-10 Championship with a time of 49.24 seconds STONEHILL: Stonehill College and the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center will serve as co-hosts for the 2006 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 10th and 11th. Both Skyhawk squads placed third in their respective Northeast-10 Championships, with each Stonehill team scoring 70 points on the day. Smith (East Bridgewater, Mass.), junior Dana Burbank (North Andover, Mass.) and sophomore David Metzger (Ellington, Conn.) recorded second place finishes on the men's side in the 5,000 meters, high jump and mile, respectively, while freshman Chris Palmer (Fort Worth, Tex.) set a school record in the men's triple jump with a mark of 42 feet even for Stonehill BRYANT: Bryant's Hafiz Greigre (Attleboro, MA) proved to be the fastest man in the Northeast-10 Conference Indoor this season as the sophomore captured first place in both the men's 55 meter finals and 200 meters. Greigre took first in the 55 meters in a new school record time of 6.44 seconds and later added a first in the 200 meters in 22.05 seconds - well ahead of the second place time of 22.35. Greigre would also add a second place finish in the men's long jump with a school record mark of 22 feet, 1.75 inches. Nicole Radzik (Sutton, MA) placed third in the 5,000 meters in 19:58.07 while Caleb Paul (Addison, Maine) ran a season-best in the men's 5,000 meters, finishing in 15:36.88 BENTLEY: Bentley athletes won three events at the Northeast-10 championships. Freshman Melissa Nash (Marshfield, Mass.) broke the tape in the 5,000 meters (19:02.16), sophomore Stephan Ramirez (San Antonio, Texas) set a meet record in winning the 3,000 (8:31.62) and senior Anthony Vitale (Natick, Mass.) did the same in the 5,000 (15:25.74).
